Koran patted on Denzein's shoulder and smiled. "Yes, I saw it. That's very well done, Den. Keep practicing, and you will master this Force Move eventually. Do you have any questions now? If so, now is the time to ask."

"Why are some force powers harder to do than others?" He asked, still smiling. He was so happy he had managed to do it, he felt like he could do anything at that point.

"Basically, one power is not harder to do than the other. When you know how to use them, they are all the same. It's just that you have to know how to use them, to understand them. And the understanding is sometimes harder than it is with other powers." Koran explained.

The big Kiffar looked up at the sky and saw a speeder passing by. He looked around the area and could see other Jedi teaching their padawans. He remembered how he was being teached and how he received the title of Jedi Knight. He was happy back then, and he felt like he could change the world.

"Right now, you know the basics of Telekinesis, Force Sense and Force Speed and you know how to meditate. Those are important techniques, and you should practice them often. Especially Sense and Speed. But, tell me, Den, how do you feel right now?"

Denzein grinned, he knew so much! "I feel very happy master, like I could change the world!" He said enthusiastically. He was telling the truth, too. He wasn't at all tired, despite having learnt force speed and practiced a little, and was ready for whatever Koran wuld throw at him next. He was a jedi, after all...

Koran smiled and then said: "Look at the time. 5:30pm. Let's call it a day for now. You must be tired, tomorrow I'll have something new for you. Something you might like."

Koran turned around and looked at the temple's entrance: "Do you still like it here, with the Jedi?" He asked as he started to walk back to the temple.

Denzein felt a little put out that there was nothing new to learn today, but decided to see what tomorrow brought, instead of complaining. He smiled when his master asked whether he still liked it here.

"Still like it? I love it! Its great here, I get fed, I'm learning to become a jedi knight, and I feel safe. Its wonderful." He smiled again. He had been doing rather a lot of that since coming here, he realised.

"Thank you, master Koran. Without you I'd still be out in the slums. You saved me." He said as he reached the door to his quarters. "See you tomorrow master, I'll practice telekinesis again tonight, i'll have it mastered before you know it!" He smiled, and went through to his room, closing the door behind him.

He practiced for about an hour until he was worn out. Then he slept, getting a good night's sleep in preparation for tomorrow's surprise.

The next morning, Koran waited in the hallway again for his apprentice. He was there early and once again leaned with his back against the wall, and his arms crossed. A few knights and padawans passing by greeted him and he nodded to them, in a friendly way. Today would be a great day for Denzein, at least Koran hoped so.

Denzein walked into the hallway, and saw his master in the same place as before. He didn't break into a run, he just smiled, and continued walking. He had decided last night to try and be as patient as possible, and that extended to his walking.

"Good morning master, what will I learn today?" He asked when he reached Koran. He tried, and failed to suppress a grin.

"Good morning, Den. We will start off with meditation, as we will each and every day. Then, please show me again, how your telekinesis is. After that, I'll have a surprise for you, but I won't tell you what it is. I won't tell you, so you will learn how to be patient. After that, you can decide what we will do. But, first things first, breakfast!"

After breakfast they made it to the training room and Koran sat down on the floor again. "You know how this works, let's meditate first to clear our minds so we can focus on the tasks of today."

All through breakfast, Denzein was itching to ask what it was Koran had in mind, but he held back, realising that this was all an exercise in patience. Once they were in the training room, which Denzein was beginning to familiarise himself with by now, they sat, and Denzein meditated with Koran. He relaxed, and forgot his impatience. He also caught glimmers of what could come to pass, in both the near and far future, both light, and dark. He made sure he focussed upon the light.

Denzein then showed Koran his telekinesis, something which he was beginning to get the hang of. While it looked pretty much the same as last time, he did it without such an intense expression on his face. After he had stowed the ball in his pocket, he looked up at Koran half expectantly, half excitedly.

"I'm getting better at telekinesis master, it feels easier that it did before. Anyway, what's this surprise? Is it something fun?" He asked.

The meditation was all good, and Koran was pleased to see that his padawan was getting better at telekinesis in such a short time. He was impressed by the progress Denzein made, for this padawan had even been able to learn the basics of Force Speed in one day, which happened to be just the second day of Denzein's training. The boy never had any exercise in the Force before, this was a proof that Denzein had potential. Force Speed was something that Koran had not been able to learn in such a short time, it took him a week, although he had mastered it. It did not matter though. Koran gave his padawan a praise after he had shown his telekinesis and then heard the young lad asking about the surprise.

"Well," Koran began, and he turned around to walk over to a table in the corner of the room. On that table stood a small steel case with a red button on it. The Kiffar did not press the button, but instead gestured for Denzein to come over to him. "If you would come here, Den. Then you can see what's inside this box once I press that red button."

Denzein was fighting the hardest battle of his life not to run over to the box, hit the button and find out. Instead he walked, slowly, over to Koran. He looked at the small steel box. He was brimming with curiosity, but he left it alone. Koran said he would open it...

"What's in the box, master?" He asked, looking from box to Koran, Koran to box.

Koran was glad Denzein stayed in control of himself, instead of running over to the box. The Kiffar waited a little longer, to test the Padawan's patience, and then pressed the button. The box opened up and revealed a small silver-colored cilinder stave.

"This, Denzein, is a training lightsaber." Koran said. "It might not be as powerful as a real lightsaber, but you can use it for training. Take it."

It was torture, waiting those few extra seconds, but somehow Den managed it. When it opened he knew instantly what it was, and his jaw dropped slightly before he could stop it. He glanced at Koran quickly, was this a test? Probably not he reasoned, Koran had told him to take it, after all. He reached in and picked it out of the box. It was nothing like the one he had imagined, but then this was not his final saber, he realised. He was itching to find out what colour the blade was, but again he held back, although now it was more because he didn't want to hurt himself than anything else.

"Thank you master Koran! Its wonderful! Um, how does it work?"

Koran smiled. "There is a tiny red button on the hilt, when you press it, the blade will ignite. Just becareful you hold the hilt in the right direction, so you will not get hurt when you ignite it. If you want to, you may ignite it now and see what colour the blade is."

OOC: You can decide which colour it is yourself ^^

(OOC: excellent =])

Denzein found the red button, turned it so the blade would come out the top at a 45 degree angle away from his face, and pressed it on. A bright green bar of luminescent light protruded out of the hilt, and Denzein couldn't help but grin. He so wanted to give it a few practice swings, but reluctantly he de-activated it with a click. He looked at Koran.

"Master, are you going to show me how to use this? or is that for me to find out myself? I have never heard of how Jedi train to use their lightsabers before." He said uncertainly. He did not fancy his chances of having to learn how to wield such a strange weapon himself...

"Of course I will teach you." Koran said friendly. "Of course I will. I won't let you teach yourself how to wield it. I even forbid you to use it when I am not around, although that does not sound like I want it to sound like. Just remember you are only allowed to use it when we are going to practice."

"Now you may choose what we are going to do next. Do you want to learn more about a technique you already know? Or perhaps you want to learn a new power? Maybe you want to start with the lightsaber lessons right away? It's up to you this time."

Denzein knew exactly what he wanted to do. To him the lightsaber was the physical embodiment of the jedi, and he felt so pleased that he was holding one that he could call his own, at least for a little while until he got his permanent blade.

"Master, I would like to learn how to wield the lightsaber, because that way I will know the basics of force using, and swordplay, instead of just focussing on one area." He said, looking Koran straight in the eye.

Of course Denzein wanted to start with lightsaber training right away. It was something very exciting, and intense. Especially Koran's own lightsaber form: Ataru. Koran had been taught by Retto Veraber, who was a great duelist himself. In the years to come, Koran had mastered Ataru and thanks to that deadly and fast saberform, he was able to defeat many foes.

"There are many lightsaber forms, and you will be taught one. Do you know the names of some of the forms, or have you never heard of any before? If so, please tell me all you know. Otherwise I will just explain things to you." Koran said.

"Master, I know nothing of the forms, I was only ever told about the lightsaber itself." He said, slightly disappointed that he did not have any knowledge to offer on the subject.
