Draven had been travelling with Valek for a few weeks since they met. Valek had told him he wishes to take him as an apprentice, Draven felt a bond with this man like thing through the force. He wished for Valek to teach him and instruct him. Valek told Draven to find a training location on Ilum and he did so.

It was in the middle of an icey plane on a frozen lake.

Draven figured it would suit both of these two men's natures and give a harsh enviroment to get used to.

Draven used telepathy. "Valek... My master I have found a suitable location, I believe you will find it most interesting."

Draven pulled out his Mandelorian Iron sword which he acuired on Tatooine.

"I am ready to be a Shade knight."

Valek walked away from his shuttle he parked near the outpost, sensing that Draven was already inside. He wrapped himself up in his longcoat to protect himself from the cold, making sure his every inch of his skin was covered and made his way towards the front doors. Once he arrived, he used his key he had to unlock the doors as he made it inside, closing them behind him as he brushed the snow off his coat and helmet. Valek really was not the one to go and take on another to teach, but he felt that he must if he were to make sure everything would go according to his plans.

He knew little about Draven just as Draven knew little about Valek, and it would stay that way unless Draven really needed his curiosity satisfied. He sensed where Draven was and made his way towards the inner where he found him with his sword.

"Good, you are here. Now, Draven, did you have questions before we begin your full training?"

Draven looked upon Valek. "Yes, I wish to know more about you. Your understanding of the force, your life. I feel something through the force about you since we first sparred. And I am curious."

"My past... is something that you will learn in due time, for not even Quentell knows entirely of my past, though I will tell you that I am a human being though. Before I became a mercenary, something happened to me where I was over come with guilt and sadness where it was overwhelming. Not wanting to have help from the Jedi, I found a doctor and he removed a part of my brain so I would no longer have such emotional pains in my life, and in turn is where I acquired my new face. The untrained Force inside me eventually became too painful and I was found by Quentell where he helped me come into terms with it and learn to control it."

Valek explained, Draven being the first person to know to an extent on what Valek was once like. He would tell him more later as the training progressed and more knowledge of the Force was known to Draven.

Draven understood what it meant to feel such pain... "I my life has been.. I usually am an outcast a loner, most people reject my species and it doesn't help to never have a mother or father either.."

Draven's words made Valek remember his past life, back when his parents were still alive. Both of them died when he was an adult, natural causes was what Valek knew, but the pain he felt of their departure was hard, especially when... she too left...

"You will learn to cope with those feelings, I am sure. You already know the Code, but I want to know if your definition for it has changed any in the past weeks."

"Not as of yet Valek, my meaning remains the same. What shall we start on first?" Draven felt the energy within him start to muster. It felt strange a new power he had never felt before.

"You need to learn to control more of The Force before you are to handle a Lightsaber, so I want to run a few more lessons of The Force first. Show me a demonstration of telekinesis, grab an object in this room, any object you think you can lift through The Force."

Draven tried something he knew his master would be impressed by. He lifted his blade and threw it in the force while controlling it's spin. He lifted in the air and swiftly brought it back to him.

Valek watched as the levitated blade turned into a deadly weapon through the Force. It then went towards Valek as he watched it, grabbing the handle and observing the blade briefly; It looked in fine shape and was of a strong material. He then looked back towards Draven and tossed the sword over to him, knowing he was getting used to the use of Telekinesis.

"Good. Now try it once more on a different object, one slightly heavier."

Draven looked to a nearby crate. He lifted it up slowly, this was hard for him it felt heavy, "Come on I can do this" Draven lifted it higher and brought it next to Valeks side.

Valek looked at it, reaching out with his hand and grabbing the crate through the Force and setting it on the opposite end of the room.

"Good. You will need these skills if you are to construct your own Lightsaber, for it is nearly impossible to build one with just your hands. You must continue to use this telekinesis until you feel you it becomes natural to you."

Draven had been practicing weeks since he met Valek and Quen so it was becoming simple. He lifted his sword the crate and even mediatated himself 4ft off the ground it became easier when he let go.

Valek looked on at the demonstration, seeing Draven lift himself and several surroundings in the room. Valek only nodded in approval, obviously satisfied with his ability to use telekinesis.

"That will do. Now we must move onto two other powers that you will learn. I want to see you use the Force to push the crate back into the corner of the room, and to pull the sword back into your grip."

Draven easily pushed the crate into the wall... But the sword was another story, he pulled the sword catching it by the blade, he looked down and felt blood coming out his palm. "Damn"

"Focus. Focus on the blade next time. Direct the part you want to pull towards you first, not the entire thing. Patch your hand up if it is going to cause you problems before we continue, otherwise I want you to try pulling the blade towards your hand one more time."

Draven wondered if he could heal it through the force... <focus, focus on the cut, seal it,> Draven saw his skin slowly start to form and re seal. "Valek I how did I do that?"

"The Force. It can be used to heal small wounds and ease the pain when needed, though I know little on this power and rarely use it. You can, however, and it can be a life saver in times of need. Are you ready to proceed?"

Yes master I am ready, Draven hurled the blade with the force and went around the room like a boomerang. This time Draven caught it by the hilt. "Ah there I got it" He succesfully tried 3 more times.

"Good. Now you are becoming more familier with The Force. You must not rely fully on it however, for if you do, you may find yourself in danger. Here, these two weapons are what you will be training with."

Valek reached into his coat and pulled out a training saber and a handgun and tossed them to Draven, expecting him to catch them in both of his hands.
