Miranda found it entertaining as she watched in silence the multitude of ever changing lights dance behind he closed eyes. When she first realized what she was seeing was the life force of living beings, she wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Now however, she found it entertaining to watch others scurry about in their daily business. Her vision was still narrow when she was busy with her hands, but when she was still and in a meditative state, her vision was quite broad. Most of the people she saw were still strangers to her, Jedi she had never met, very few though, she did recognize at least by sight if not by name. She wondered offhand if any would visit her as she meditated. As of now though, she was quite content to sit and watch.

Once again it was a beautiful day on Naboo. Kai was meditating on a hill when he felt his stomach rumble for food. Checking his chrono piece, he realized that he had been meditating for over four hours on that hill and that it was already past midday. After grabbing a quick meal Kai made his way to where a few of the Jedi on planet held classes in this area. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be anyone there. With a sigh and a slump of the shoulders Kai began to walk back to his little hill. That's when he sensed a familiar presence. Miranda? Kai turned slowly and reached out in the Force. It was definitely her and she was close by. Well, he might as well seek her out, he had nothing better to do. It only took him a few minutes to find her; she was fairly easy to spot. There was only one girl around his age who looked so skinny, although she wasn't as skinny when he first met her. Walking up to her, Kai smiled, "Hey, Miranda! Pleasure seeing you here. How have you been?"

Kai was one of those familiar presences she had seen while meditating. While she was aware of his presence, she wasn't focused on it, not until it became clear that he was heading over. Admittedly she had Ben a little shocked when she learned that Kai was a boy. He looked so much like a female that she mistked him for one on their first meeting. When he entered the clearing she was in, she took a moment to gather herself before opening her eyes. As she did e saw a faint aura around him that slowly faded as she focused on him.

"I've been... Good," she said a little horse from lack of use, "how was your lunch?" It was a side effect after she used her sight, but nearly every time she did, she gained knowledge she didn't have before. It was one reason she enjoyed using it, even after she left Ryloth.

With a light laugh, Kai nodded. "It was alright, sounds like you haven't spoken in awhile." Kai remarked noticing how quiet she sounded as he took a seat across from her. He could sense the Force particularly strong with her right now, like she had just used it recently. "So, have you been fitting in? Learning anything new? What were you up to? Looks like you were meditating... and yet you knew I had lunch. Doing a bit more than meditating are we?" Kai felt a little bad for not having checked up on her sooner. After all, he was part of the reason why she was there, the least he could have done was come see her more often and make sure everything was fine. That was the life of a training Jedi, though. Still, at least he was coming to check up on her now and see how she was doing.

'She smiled a bit at his words, "Well, I was practicing an exercise an old friend taught me before I came to Naboo, it doesn't need much talking," she wasn't sure why she mentioned her past, but Kai was easy to talk to and she kind of liked him, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on you."

She was glad he had come by. He was one of the few Jedi she knewand she still hadn't thanked him properly yet for saving her. It wasn't that she disliked Ms. Lights place, but she saw no future for her there. The more she learned about the Jedi, the more she wanted to be like them. She wouldn't be here if not for Kai, if not for Jade. Her Jade had been her first savior, the one who taught her to see, the one who guided her out of the darkness. He had given his life so she could be free, she honoured him by keeping his teachings close to her heart. She was almost positive that had been a Jedi now. It couldn't be coincidence that his teachings had coincided so much with that of t Jedi.

"I could show you little bit if you'd like"

"Oh, so you were practicing? And don't worry about the eavesdropping, I don't mind." He replied with a carefree wave of the hand. Kai could sense that she seemed to be more comfortable. The remark about her past did not go unnoticed, but Kai wasn't sure what to make of it as he got the feeling that it was a touchy subject for her. He realized that he really didn't know much about Miranda's past and he resolved to find out more about her. Miranda seemed to be happier now that he was here, not that he was entirely sure why, but he was glad to bring a smile to anyone's face. At her offer his eyebrows perked up and he grinned. "Of course I'd love to learn something new! Maybe afterwards I can show you something new, too!"

She smiled, "Then take a seat," she said gesturing to a spot next to her, "Close your eyes and imagine that you're the center of the universe. Reach out and observe the stars about you. Do not focus on any one cluster, keep you sight broad and just feel the universe about you." Her voice faded into the background as she explained about sight the way Jade had taught her. Miranda sat next to Kai and watched with him. A fun thing a fun thing she liked to do when she saw was imagine that the life forces about her made shapes in the darkness of her mind. She often saw animals and other objects, some of which she didn't understand. As she talked, she hoped that she made sence to Kai. It wasn't often she talked or shared her experience, but she was glad for the opportunity.

Scooching over to where Miranda gestured next to her, Kai listened to what she had to say. It all sounded a bit more spiritual than Kai was normally used to. Even now that he was used to feeling and sensing, what she seemed to be talking about sounded more like the "big picture" as some people called it. Still, she was trying to teach, and Kai would be damned if he didn't at least try.

"Alright..." Closing his eyes, Kai began to feel the Force around him. He felt Miranda, her excitement and apprehension; the kind one gets from teaching. Beyond that he could feel the thumming of the power lines and the passing presences of other Jedi. Doing as she said, he broadened his senses and could feel Naboo's star. His eyesight was still black, however. He did not "see" anything. Well, this is vexing... Kai thought to himself. He wasn't sure what he was doing wrong; he didn't think it was Miranda's fault, but he didn't know what else to do. Kai had experienced something similar to what Miranda was talking about before, but he was never sure how he had done it; seeing with the Force. It was a frustrating experience.

Inhaling deeply, Kai refocused himself. If there was one thing he had learned over many weeks of training it was that when you wanted to accomplish something with the Force you had to trust in the Force. With that in mind he sat on the ground feeling, and trusting, in the Force. He felt out with the Force, sensing the things around him and trying to draw the Force into his eyes where it might enhance his sight. As he sat there, Kai focused on his breathing, listening to bother his breathing and that of Miranda. Listening, he could almost hear the texture of it, and he got a feeling of the life behind it. Stripping that away there was just the life behind it, Miranda's life. It took him awhile before he even began to get a glimmer of her, it was like a shadow of a shadow. But, as he focused his mind to the task, the shadow became more opaque, the edges more defined. Miranda's presence had grown much stronger to him. Opening his eyes he began to see the world differently. Next to him, Miranda seemed to glow with the Force. It was a very different experience for Kai, seeing someone aglow with the Force. Everything around him seemed to be so much clearer, so much more in focus. Closing his eyes again he could still see her, but now he could see the ground and the people around them much like how he could feel them with the Force. They too glowed with life. His eyes began to hurt a little; it was like using one's eyes for the first time. Doing as Miranda said he broadened his vision and looked to the stars. It was just as different as seeing Miranda for the first time through the Force. "Wow, that was amazing!" He exclaimed looking to his friend. "That was interesting, what you said. Where are you from, originally? I know it's not Naboo."

She watched Kai through the Force. She could see him struggle to see. She remembered when she first tried to see. It had been just as difficult for her, but she had no choice on the matter not of she wanted to climb out of the darkness that had been her existence for as long as she could remember. But she was glad when Kai finally saw. Then he ask a sticky question.

Miranda didn't like to talk much about her past, being a slave was one thing she tried to forget. However, Kai did show her a path other than the bleak existence that she had been living. The truth however was rather sad. While she had grown up on Ryloth, she had no idea if she was born there or not. Her mother had never said otherwise.

"I don't know if I was born there or not, but Ryloth was my home until not too long ago." She didn't feel like going into it much, it still brought bad memories, "What about you?"

Kai listened to what Miranda had to say about her past, which wasn't much. There was the distinct feeling of discomfort from Miranda on the subject. Which Kai took to meant it wasn't someplace she wanted to remember. For a moment, he regretted asking the question, but he knew better now for it. With a nod of the head, Kai wiped away a tear from his eye. It was a tear from the soreness created for using Sight. "At least you're among friends now. I'm from Naboo, actually. Lived here all my life. I only left after joining the Order. Every now and then I like to come back and train or see friends." He stated looking at Miranda for a moment before looming away. He would need to practice Force Sight more before he could really use it when he wanted to and how he would need to. Still, at least he knew the basics and could go from there. "So, you've shown me yours. Is there something you'd like to learn from me? I don't know much, but I'd be willing to teach what I know."

She thought how lucky Kai was to have grown up on such a beautiful planet. She had literally grown up in a hole on a planet which half was too hot to live and the other was too cold. His offer surprised Miranda. She hadn't thought of learning something from him. As she thought a scene came to her, one she had seen as she saw through the force. It was of Jedi moving objects without touching them. She hadn't been able to do such a thing yet, but she wondered if Kai could.

"I've seen some Jedi moving stuff without touching them, is that something you can teach me?"

Kai's mouth opened in genuine surprise. That was something he hadn't expected. Telekinesis was such a basic Force power. Then again, Miranda was still new to this. It shouldn't be surprising. "Miranda! You don't know telekinesis? Well, we've go to fix that today! That's a core power every Jedi needs!" Hopping up to his feet Kai offered the girl a hand up. "C'mon, let's go for a little bit of a walk. The sun's out, it would be good for us. Plus, I have an idea."

Heading back out to where Kai was meditating earlier, he began to talk about and explain the basics of Telekinesis. "Okay, so, the first thing I want you to do, is reach out with the Force and feel this stone. " Kai said pointing to a nearby rock the size of both of this fists put together. As she did that Kai would close his eyes and try to use the Force to see the stone. "I want you to get a sense of it first, feel it's texture through the Force. Focus your mind on it. It's going to be similar to using your sight, but this isnot about seeing the stone, this is about getting a feel for it only. Once you do that, I want you to picture the stone moving with your mind. Once you've got that picture I want you to reach out through the Force just like how you used it to feel the stone, but then I want you to move it. Treat the Force like an extension of your own arm. If you start having trouble don't get frustrated, just trust in the Force. Also, it might be easier if you close your eyes during the whole process. This should be a rather meditative exercise to start; I really want you to feel the Force, stretch out with your feelings, and touch the rock with it. Alright, whenever your ready. I'll try and give you some tips if you need it, but I want you to try this on your own first." Kai instructed. He hoped he didn't confuse the poor girl, but he wanted to be as specific as he could in hopes of giving her the best chance. Closing his eyes Kai began the process of using Sight again so he could watch her progress through the Force and so she wouldn't be the only one practicing.
