Tournament Fight - Alex Raider vs. Filose Naj

[Dexington]

*Thyferra, a dense and hot land of thick forest, and one of the most precious resources in the galaxy, bacta. Filose stood in the middle of the forest, far away from any civilization, waiting for his opponent, Sith Lord, Alex Raider. He knew it would be a very difficult fight, maybe even impossible, but the fates had brought him here, and he would do his best to keep up with the Lord. He was holding his Echani vibroblade in his off-hand, a Mandalorian ripper in the other, waiting.*

 

[Raider]

*Alex Raider finally appeared through underbrush, a few cuts along his arms and face. Why did he always have to fight out in the middle of nowhere? Shaking his head slightly at that annoying question he peered toward his waiting opponent.*

"Any terms for this fight?"

 

[Dexington]

*Filose was suprised when he came out... He had a lightsaber, why not just cut his way through the jungle, instead of taking all the scrapes from branches?*

"None of your aggressive dark side powers, lightning, choke, that kinda thing."

 

[Raider]

"Very well."

*The snap-hiss of his lightsabers coming to life filled the air, he reflected with some annoyance it would have been easier to have used them to cut his way through the forest. Not to mention that thornbrush he'd tripped and fallen into, that was something he was certainly going to passover telling anyone about.*

 

[Dexington]

*Filose spinned his vibroblade in his hand, making it look like he was going to use that, but suddenly held up his blaster and took one shot at the Sith Lord's shins, trying to catch him offguard before he could deflect it with his lightsaber.*

 

[Raider]

*Raider swung one saber through a downward arch catching the blaster bolt mere inches from his shin, it hit and reflected off the very tip of the crimson blade heading back towards its sender. He then settled into a more defensive stance, waiting for his opponents next move.*

 

[Dexington]

*Filose figured it wouldn't hit him, but didn't count on the bolt coming right back at him. He quickly rolled to the left, narrowly averting it. He was then crouched down, and began slowly walking towards his opponent, putting away his blaster and taking out another vibroblade, throwing it as hard as he could at the Sith Lord, aiming for his head this time.*

 

[Raider]

*Raider was impressed the blaster bolt hadn't hit his opponent, not many beings moved that fast. His eyes stayed on the Falleen, he kept himself focused, sensing what his opponent would do as the plan formed within his mind. He bat the oncoming vibroblade away with one presice movement of his sabers, he smiled at his opponent, rising one blade toward him, beckoning.*

 

[Dexington]

*Filose knew that fighting straight up against a Sith Lord was like a death wish for a non-force user. He turned around and walked into the forest, then activating his stealth belt, hoping that the Sith wouldn't be able to see him without draining his force energy. He then began climbing up a very high tree, taking a seat on a branch and holding his vibroblade at the ready still, incase he decided to throw the lightsaber at him.*

 

[Raider]

*His opponent was indeed a clever one, trying in outwit instead of outfight him. He focused his power reaching through the forest, searching. He found him sitting upon a tree branch, a smile spread across his face. He thumbed his sabers off, and started circling around the tree the Falleen was hiding in. He stayed low, using the underbrush as cover and drawning on the Force to dampen the noise he made.*

 

[Dexington]

*Now it was Filose's turn to smile. He reached into his grenade puch and pulled out a thermal detonator, activating it and dropping it down to the base of the tree, bracing himself because he knew the tree would fall to the ground soon after it exploded.*

 

[Raider]

*Raider didn't need to see or hear the Falleen drop the thermal detonator, he'd been keeping careful watch on the Falleen through the Force. As the thermal detonator fell Raider moved with the speed only a Force user could have, his leap carried him just far enough toward the fringe of the detonator's blast radius so that instead of blowing him to pieces it gave him a very strong and hot push. He rolled as he hit the ground and patted out the places his robe had caught fire. Looking back he saw the tree begin to fall, that had been far to close for his liking. He started toward the fallen tree, lightsabers back in hand.*

 

[Dexington]

*As the tree slammed to the ground, his legs buckled underneath him from the impact and his stealth generator got jammed for the moment. Still holding one vibroblade in his hand and crouched on the fallen tree, Filose got ready to parry any attack that came towards him, even though he couldnt get to his feet at the moment.*

 

[Raider]

*Movements enhanced by the power of the Force, Raider on the Falleen before he could recover from the fall. One saber attempted to smash the Falleen's vibroblade away as the other drove downward to sever his hand.*

 

[Dexington]

*Filose shook his head as he saw his opponent nearing him. He felt his vibroblade jerk in his hand, losing control of it as it fell to the ground. Luckily, he still had the presence of mind to move his wrist in the way of the attack, the lightsaber making but a scratch in his wrist plates, made from Mandalorian steel and reinforced with cortosis. While still in a kneeling position, he rolled backwards and broke off a very large branch from the fallen tree, swinging it at the Sith with all his might.*

 

[Raider]

*The end of the branch gazed across his cheek as he pulled his head back to avoid getting his skull broken in. Scowling at the pain and the blood flowing down his face he lashed out with quick saber strikes. His blades flashed toward the Falleen, intent on crippling his ability to fight by striking at weak points in his armor.*

 

[Dexington]

*As Filose swung the branch as hard as he could, he spun around with his own momentum, blocking one of the strikes by accident, though it considerably shrunk the branch down to a large stick. He figured it wouldn't do much good, so dropped it and began staggering backwards, moving his body as best he could to dodge the attacks, until one finally clipped him under the right shoulder and across the chest. In some pain, he decided to turn around to run while his opponent was still focused on attacking, taking out his Sith war sword with his left hand and getting into a defensive position, until he could shake off the pain from his right.*

 

[Raider]

*As his opponent retreated he turned off one of his blades. He stood there, one blade humming gently at his his side as he waited.*

 

[Dexington]

*Seeing that his opponent was no longer chasing him, he put his blade away again, taking out a heavy blaster and a plasma grenade. He hurls the grenade at his opponent with his left hand, then raised his right arm enough to shoot the grenade as soon as it got close enough, causing it to explode prematurely.*

 

[Raider]

*Raider was again in motion as the plasma grenade was thrown, leaping up and back mere seconds before the grenade exploded. He landed faced down in the dirt behind the fallen tree, which blocked most of the grenade's blast. Standing from his cover he reached through the Force to tug the heavy blaster from the Falleen's hand.*
