Tournament Match - Finals: Darman vs. Farlan

[Darman]

Darman stood on the heated land of Sullust waiting for his final opponent of the Grand Tournament. Supposedly, his opponet was to be another Mandalorian. He knew this may be the most challenging match yet, but he would give it everything he had.

Darman looked around taking in his surroundings. He felt the heat coming through even with the temperature regualtor on and Mark II armor. There was ash falling all over him, and he knew it would be hard to breath without a helmet on. He pulled out his blade and pistol, determined to win.

 

[Matt]

*Farlan walked into view of darman..The udnerground cities of sullest offered little refuge from the planet...Volcanos could be heard going off above on the surface and the smash of massive lightning bolts came and went as soon as they came...sullest was a great world...*

*Farlan tighened his fiber armour as he looked at Darman..He knew vaguely of him...And he knew darman would know him*

"Two mandalorians in the final...How it should be"

 

[Darman]

"Exactly." Darman said smiling, then looked at the Mandalorian much more closely. "Your Farlan aren't you?" Darman said remebering the time they met on Hoth. Darman chuckled underneath his helmet, knowing now this match would be the most difficult.

 

[Matt]

"Indeed I am...Returned after my scouting mission into the republic....And many things have changed..though...It seems mandalorians still know how to fight thankfully"

 

[Darman]

"That is always good." Darman said then cracked his neck and back. "You ready?" Darman said drawing his blade, then held it reversed and crouched.

 

[Matt]

"Always"

*Farlan took out his heavy mandalorians blaster rifle*

[Darman]

OOC: no problem

"Why don't we start with blades then move onto blasters?" Darman said keeping his stance, wanting to finish this match before it even started.

 

[Matt]

"Now why woudl I allow myself to be at a disadvantage?"

*Farlan didn't want to wait any lonhgher..He had been yearning for a battle since his time away...All he had been doign was folllowing republic fleets in there ion trails and marking where they were going...Less then interesting...He fired off several blaster bolts heading to different parts of his body,,,head, heart, torso and leg's*

 

[Darman]

Darman activated his power shields then jumped high into the air, making only the would be head shot be hit by the shields. Darman then landed and activated his speed and dexterity enhancers, knowing exactly what form to use. Darman spun his blade in his hand, then looked to his opponent.

Darman crouched low, thinking of his training with Mandalore, then rushed at his opponent. Darman dodged side to side, bluring motions coming from Darman's body, which should distract Farlan's shot. He then came into a few inches of his opponent, still blurs of movement seeming to surround him. Darman spun slightly, then slashed horizontally at his head.

 

[Matt]

*Farlan didn't bother shoting his rifle at the blurs that came towards him...Agility was darman one advantage and form what he was doing..It was standard training of what general aryas taught his recruits....Well mandalore now...As Darman looked ready to slash at farlan he did an old trick of his..He ducked and rolled to the side but as he did so...He left a small frag grenade....As he rolled away it went off*

 

[Darman]

Darman saw the small sphere drop infront of him, and only a thought occured in his mind. An instant later, something happened to Darman's advantage. His jetpack gave a powerful boost, pushing Darman outside of the explosion's radius, but because of the smoke and debrese it would seem as though Darman was caught.

Darman landed a few feet away of the explosion on his back, then flipped himself backwards and landed on his feet. He twirled the blade in his hand, then rushed towards his opponent once more, avoiding going through the smoke so it would be a major, and hopefully painful, suprise to Farlan. Once near him Farlan, Darman shot three electro launchers at his exposed back.

 

[Matt]

*Farlan saw the sparkle of his opponants jet pack fly off out of the massive explosion..and acted as if he hadn't..Surprise would be his friend..He could feel the actions taking place behind his back..As he heard the faint shot of something coming towards him he jumped as fast as he could to the side...As he was flying though the air he turned over in mid air and fired off several shots to Darman*

 

[Darman]

Darman dove to the side, then thought of a new approach. Darman activated his advanced stealth shield, making him invisible, but also blocking any proximity, infrared, or trackers following him. Darman stood up and waited, blade ready.

 

[Matt]

"Bit cowardly for a mandalorian who isn't a scout fi you ask me...."

*Farlan took out 4 grenades and threw them at all 4 sides...One behind...One either side and one infront and these were plasma grenades just outside of the blast radius so they wouldn't hit farlan...Evil little buggers that super heated and burnt an opponant alive....Not a mandalorian of course but it would still be a kick in the teeth*

 

[Darman]

Darman walked backwards as the detonators where thrown infront of him and to the sides. As they went off, Darman continued to walk backwards, then detonators failing Farlan this time. He then drew his pistol, then shot one perfectly aimed blast at the back of Farlan, hoping to end this now.

 

[Matt]

*The blaster bolt hit his shield....Farlan turned around and threw another grenade to where the shot came from..This grenade was a lovely little ion grenade...Even if darman was resonably close it would short out his stealth generater and then maybe he would fight like a mandalorian*

 

[Darman]

OOC: smart...but also unlucky.

Darman instantly recognized the ion gernade from his training with Mandalore, the same tactic that Mandalore used against him. Darman simply shot the gernade in mid-air before it reached him. Darman smile turned into a frown as his shields flickered off, exposing him. He thought for a moment, then realized that his advanced shields drained his power much faster than the normal shield, and the ion must have finished it.

Darman looked to Farlan, then pulled out his blade. He put away his pistol with his other hand then readied for the next attack.

 

[Matt]

*Farlan smiled as he let off a ferocious volley off fire towards darman...Farlan was flicking the trigger on his blaster at great speed as shot after shot was being sent towards Darman with great intensity....Blaster bolts being sent to different places all over darman's armour*

 

[Darman]

Darman activated his jet pack to see the volley of blasts shooting at him. He flew high into the air, the majority of the blasts missing low. Darman boosted higher, but suddenly stopped to see a bolt of lightning flash infront of him, shooting down towards the front of his opponent. Darman flew down, then once the lightning hit, Darman rushed towards Farlan and stabbed three times at vital parts of the body.

 

[Matt]

*The flash of the lightning caused farlan to sheld his eyes and hew knew darman would use this to his advantage...as the flash went away he saw darman incredibly close to him and he side stepped to just by the skin of his teeth avoid the blow...As darman went shooting past him he smashed down at the jetpack hoping to destroy it...and all this came from instinct nothing more as it happened within seconds of eachother*
