Tournament Match - Mandalore vs. Dace Hu

Okay well, I hope this is where I am supposed to make the thread. If not, we'll figure something out and get it moved.

Now let's get this show on the road!






The cityscape known as Eriadu was known as an industrial world not a few short months ago. That was before the Mandalorian invasion, of course, before their armada conquered this sector and claimed it as their own. Now, where civilians once roamed free, Mandalorian soldiers march. Docks used to be filled with transports and yachts. Now all they saw were fighters and occasionally frigates.

Right now, however, Mandalore was not focused about what he had done to this planet. He wasn't thinking about how many credits he'd gained, how many people he'd killed, and how many slaves he'd... erm... enslaved. No, right now he was thinking about the battle at hand, a battle with a Jedi Master.

He stood alone in the street, perfectly still and perfectly silent. In fact, nothing at all could be heard except for the faint humming of Mandalore's armor. It's systems were all functioning perfectly, and that meant that today was the perfect day for ass kicking. That is, once his opponent arrived.

*Such a sad world this had become, so many things had changed here and every single part of it braught great sadness to the heart of Dace. The council had not thought much on what was to happen to the mandalorian thred, how could they with the sith trying to wipe them out but it was obviously important that they thought on this*

*Dace turned a corner and came face to face with the mandalorian warlod, he bowed to him though it was not as low as he would usually to another head of state*

"Mandalore"

"Yes, it is wise to bow before me."

Mandalore's greeting was much more impolite, and showed that he expected to not only win this fight, but to be obeyed blindly by all those who saw him.

"What terms do you wish for this battle, Jedi?"

*Arrogence, one of thhe strangest personality traits dace knew of, why would someone be arrogent, why would someone have such blind faith in there skills so as to believe he is nothing but the best. Perhaps it was complete lack of arrogence that made dace always work on his skills, perhaps this is what made him one of the best lightsaber duelists in the order though dace neither thought it or admitted that fact*

"Whatever you want, I would not want you to feel you were limited in this duel"

Mandalore smiled behind his tinted visor. Being able to unleash his full arsenal upon his foes was a rare pleasure, seeing as how most of his opponents died within the first few seconds of battling Mandalore.

Jedi were always arrogant, and Dace was obviously no exception. He thought he could beat Mandalore without taking every advantage available!? Arrogance was such an odd personality trait, so much so that the leader of the Mandalorian Clans thought about it briefly. How could Dace could have such blind faith in his skills, so much so as to believe that he was nothing but the best? Well that was just typical Jedi nonsense, wasn't it.

"The fight hasn't even started and already you've made a mistake. I gave you an opportunity to take the advantage, but you shunned it. Fine. Don't say I never gave you a chance. Now I shall be forced to wreak havoc with my complete depository. But I can't say I won't enjoy it."

And with that little speech, Mandalore drew forth his trademark Mandalorian Disintegrator in his left hand while also unsheathing his Mandalorian Bastard Sword in his right. The blaster in his left looked as if Mandalore had ripped it from one of his capital ships and decided to wield it in battle. It was so large that it could even work as a formidable smashing weapon. The sword, meanwhile, was equally huge. But it was also lined with intricate carvings, and was polished so well that it glowed a bright white.

Mandalore also activated his armor's stimulant system, as well as two Mandalorian Power Shields. In his estimation, this battle would not last long.

"Maybe I am merely trying to get inside your head mandalore, an old saying goes that when men feel secure they make there first miistake"

*Dace, taking his time to properly preset himself took off his simple coat over his basic robes and folded it neatly and tightly together, what he said could be conceived as a mind game and it was, battle was faught with the mind before all else. Dace felt he was prepared as he layed his robe down at the side as he streched his body, it would be most embaressing for there duel to end because Dace pulled a muscle*

"I am ready Mandalore, please show me what your wide variety of tools can do, I however prefer to stay simple to truely test myself"

"There's also an old saying that goes 'The guy with the biggest gun always wins'. The great General Hoorex Kwando said it."

Mandalore points his gun towards Dace and starts the battle by firing three quick shots at Dace. His sword was at the ready, knowing that the Jedi would most likely dodge or block or deflect the shots and attack him in close combat.

*As the shots came at him Dace force pulled his saber into his hand quickly igniting it, the green blade came to life with a familier hum as Dace deflected the shots right back at Mandalore, Dace was a master of Djem so, A form known for it's ability to not only strike with great levels of power but to turn defence into attack, If mandalore wanted it hit Dace with blaster fire all day he was more then welcome to.*

*Dace stood ready his blade pised ready for any other attacks coming his way, he knew mandalore would have no problem dealing with his own blaster fire*

Mandalore was no slouch either. Despite his bulk, a combination of anticipation, stimulants, muscular strength, and raw speed gave him the skill to dodge out of the way of two of the blasts, as he rolled to the left. He hit the third blaster shot with his sword, barely tipping it and batting it to the sky like a Jedi might. The idea that a non-Force user might be able to anticipate an incoming blaster bolt and even touch a single one with his sword was a sign of Mandalore's skill.

Mandalore, upon rising up from the ground after his combat roll, fired another flurry of shots at Dace. This time, however, he shot more than three; in fact, he fired a baker's dozen, thirteen bolts. They flew from the gun rapidly, one after the other, and made their way towards Hu with great speed. Mandalore knew that a Jedi Master could deflect most blaster bolts headed his way, but eventually, Mandalore would get lucky and one would get through Hu's sterling defense.

*Dace knew he spent hours practicing his two main forms for a reason. Soresu was designed to counteract blaster technology and Dace had mastered this to, As the bolts came at him dace was an eye within a storm, centred on nothing but deflecting the blaster bolts, they were sent in a variety of directons away from his body*

*As a small lull came in the shots Dace felt the need to go on the defensive, switching effortlessly back to djem so dace jumped high into the air, as he came down he had his saber ready as he slashed downwards aross the front of mandalore armour hoping to do some damage*

Even with Dace's great speed, he had telegraphed the blow; jumping into the air and attacking downward was about the most overrused move in the book. Mandalore's blade was ready, and he blocked the blow with ease. Though Dace was strong, and had the advantage of coming from above, Mandalore's strength, thanks to his armor, was unparalleled, and his sword did not quiver a bit as the lightsaber struck it.

Mandalore kept his sword in a defensive position, and pointed his blaster hand at the ground at Dace's feet. He then made a bold move; he fired his wrist-mounted rocket launcher straight downwards twice. The rockets only had a very short amount of distance to travel, and so they would hit the ground in roughly half a second. Mandalore wasn't worried about himself, though; his personal shields would deal with the physical blast of the blow, while his Thermal Shield Generator would protect him from the fire.

*The attack was a testing blow to use against mandalore to test out his defences and they were indded formidible, Dace's always relied on his strength in battle despite his thin frame he was indded a very strong person but he was no match for mandalore's power, However Dace had the force and thankfully it served him well*

*As mandalore fired downwards several rockets Dace witha wave of his hand used the force to control them sending them skywards, they exploded with great force that shook nearby buildings on there very foundations, As soon as the explosion went off Dace took a step bck falling into Djem so and lungeing forward his lightsaber held high as he slashed at Mandalore's blade, he wanted to get into a duel, to beat mandalore at dueling so as to keep mandalore's 'toys' out of the battle*

Mandalore's blade switched to a better defensive position as he blocked the blow. Sparks flew as the two swords clashed, but Mandalore held his ground and did not move; he had a plan, and it relied on maintaining the closeness between the two, at least for now.

Knowing he was wielding two weapons as opposed to Dace's single lightsaber, Mandalore decided to benefit from this advantage. He swung his sword hard, attacking Dace's right thigh with a powerful strike. But just as the sword flew through the air, Mandalore fired two shots at Dace's head with his blaster. The two attacks were spaced far enough away and were both quick enough that blocking both at such a close range would be a difficult task.

*As the blow came down Dace rolled away from the side, the heat from mandalore's blade brushed the side off his boot as he rolled away to safety, the blaster fire went shooting off into the distance as Dace flipped his back allowing himself back onto his feet and turned sending a forceful force push towards Mandalore*

Mandalore stood firm, not moving an inch. This was the ace up his sleeve. Over a century ago, the Ebonclaw had given the Mandalorians the technology to build special backpacks which would house the animal known as Ysalamari. It had been part of their alliance, an alliance that had been remade under Mandalore's reign. The technology the Mandalorians had had for decades, combined with an alliance to those who farmed Ysalamari, gave Mandalore the outlet to acquire a specially built backpack, housed in his armor, that effectively shielded him from the Force. The Ysalamir actually lived inside his massive armor, strapped, netted, and cushioned safely, so that Mandalore could still perform various maneouvres. That was part of the reason Mandalore's armor was so big; it had to be if it wanted to contain another living creature.

Hoping to catch the Jedi by surprise, but doubting he would, Mandalore fired five more shots at Dace. Specifically, one at his head, one at each shin, and two at his chest.

*Dace deflected the blows away with little trouble sending them back towards Mandalore but his mind was elsewhere and with this he came up with an idea, it was obviously that the force seemed to have no effect whatsoever on the mandalorian but the forst could still be his ally, as he deflected away the last of the blows, Dace using the force to help him leaped high into the air landing gracefully ontop of a nearby building, if Mandalore wanted him he would have to come get him and unless he had some 'toys' that could knock down buildings, this is what he would need to do*

Mandalore side stepped the blows with a sort of graceful ease, as if he expected the blaster bolts to come back at him. Dace was good, and smart too; he was trying to lead Mandalore up towards the skyline, where Mandalore's blasters and ranged weapons would be put to less effect. The ploy, however, wouldn't work.

Mandalore put his blaster away, putting it at the holster at his side. Keeping the sword in his hand, Mandalore pulled the sniper rifle off the straps on his back and held it in one hand. He activated his jetpack, and began flying straight up. But not towards Dace, no. Instead, he flew on top of a building across the street, on a rooftop that was just as high as Dace's.

Quick as he could, Mandalore put Dace in his scope and fired three potshots at him. His incredible strength allowed him to control the kickback of the rifle even while only using one hand. Nevertheless, the blasts weren't aimed all too well since the shots he took were rushed, but they were powerful nonetheless. Mandalore anticipated that Dace would close the distance between them soon, and so he kept his sword in his opposite hand, ready to go.

*Dace deflected the blows away without much trouble but underestimated mandalore's technology, he thought for a moment after deflecting the blows skywards and came up with a brainwave, he had to take down that jetpack and if he did then he would have a chance*

*Dace ran towards mandalore not using the force to help him, he would need alot of force energy later, as he closed the gap Dace swung his blade towards mandalore hoping to lock up with the mandalorian, lightsaber to sword*

Dace's skill was considerable, and Mandalore was unsuspecting of his plan. In fact, the alien's skill was so considerable that just the way he held his lightsaber forced Mandalore to lock blades with him. And Mandalore was unsuspecting enough to not try to pull his own blade away from Dace. And so, sparks flew as the two blades met and remained in between the two.

However, Mandalore's strength was immense. So immense, in fact, that even though he was only using one hand, he was pushing both clashed blades back towards Dace. If he kept going like that, Dace's lightsaber would soon meet with its owner. To add to his attack, the Implacable One fired his off-hand blaster in two quick shots, aiming at Dace's shins. If Dace managed to move his lightsaber down to block them, Mandalore was still pushing his sword, and would strike down upon the Jedi.

*As Mandalore made a move for his blade Dace was left with little choice, he pulled his blade back from the locking action as the heat from his lightsaber went to his side, it was litterally centimetres from his face, Mandalore had pushed it back so far Dace very nearly killed himself. Dace jumped turning his body in mid-air as Mandalore's shots hit the rooftop denting it rather badly as he went over Mandalore's shoulder, he turned around slashing hard at Mandalore's jetpack*
