  • what is going to happen in your plot?
    The Republic will consolidate its power in the Gamor sector, dealing with the various planets as the situation demands in each. I have listed the scenarios that need to be dealt with in the annex.

  • What other players will be a part of this?
    Various IR players as volunteer
  • Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?
    Planets in the Gamor Sector (O14) (listed in annex)
  • Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.
    Rather than RP the annexation of the sector, the plot happens immediately afterwards in the consolidation phase. All threads are contemporaneous with each other. The converse is that, if the threads go unfulfilled, the IR is driven back by the local population straight after.
  • What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?
    The neck of planets in the Gamor sector are controlled by the IR, thereby controlling the flow of goods and people between the IR and Galactic South.
  • Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
    No, thanks. (As long as I can DM the Moff for appropriate cameos)
Annex: recruitment blurb
Control the routes to the Galactic South decreed the empress. She raised up Moff Tilbury to establish a buffer zone on the neck of the Correllian run. He was assisted by a young Sith Crusader, Saric Noms as his aide de campe. The armies were deployed and found little resistance, but the following need addressing:

The long night
Location:
Milagro
Situation: the working population of Milagro were largely unfased by the change of regime - one taskmaster is as bad as another. However, they sat up and noticed when the tariffs meant that local factories started going out of business. The ensuing civil unrest threatens to cripple the sector.
Tasking: 1x military, 1x administrative personnel
Mission: you will take charge of a district's civil defence force where a riot is expected. Formulate a plan of action, quell the riot and survive the night


The jewel in the crown

Location:
Bacrana
Situation: Bacrana's privileged position and advanced civilisation means that an alternative strategy is required.
Tasking: 1x negotiator, 1x bodyguard/intelligence advisor
Mission: negotiate a settlement agreement. The ruling party may retain domestic control as long as they conform to the empire's foreign and trade policy. If the incumbents won't agree, find a faction that will. Alerting the local population to our involvement will, of course, defeat the object.

Cave painting
Location:
Aridus
Situation: mining operations have begun in earnest. However, the local population have started a guerilla war from their network of caves.
Tasking: 2x commandos
Mission: intelligence has tracked down what they think is the leadership of the resistance. Take a crack team of commandos into the cave network and show no mercy.

Strange mysteries
Location:
Iktotch
Situation: there are reports of strange goings on on this planet, believed to be connected to a force phenomenon.
Tasking: 1x Sith academic (or similar); 1x bodyguard/assistant
Mission: document the phenomena and advise the Moff on policy for this planet.

Defection!
Location:
Gamor
Situation: the spaceport on Gamor has become a hot bed of itinerants: both so-called refugees fleeing the empire's light and immigrants looking for work within its bounds. Shanty towns have built up around the ports of people who have got this far, but hit the blockade. These are lawless places where an imperial uniform can get you shot.
Tasking: 2x intelligence agents
Mission: a famous artist has expressed their disgust at the Empire's way of life. Before facing justice, they have fled to the South. They are believed to have been held up by the blockade and in hiding. Search the shanty and return them to our loving embrace and so prove that money does not put you above the law.
All threads dice/DM depending on availability of DMs (except maybe strange mysteries, self DM)

Addendum

Smugglers
Location:
Allanteen
Situation: the otherwise barren planet of Allanteen has become a favourite stop off for smugglers, with a semi-permanent trading depot established there, selling bootleg fuel and other supplies. Such flagrant disregard of Imperial rule cannot be tolerated.
Tasking: 2x military personnel
Mission: take what assets you need and clear the smuggling base once and for all.

Blockade run
Location:
the correllian run
Situation: a group of traders have taken exception to the tariffs imposed by the blockade and have convoyed together. They mean to run the blockade.
Tasking: 2x naval personnel
Mission: if these ships get through, more will be inclined to try. Stop them at all costs.

As the present faction leader, plot administrator and forum loser, tagging @Nefieslab for thoughts and review.

But as I understand he is busy, here are my own:

We've stopped following the grid system after the sixth timeline, although I understand what you're implying here. While it didn't take much to take a square during that timeline, the Fires of Rebellion is a different case. As seemingly unimportant as these worlds are, I recommend looking back to plots with similar goals. For instance, Operation Stardust.

However, seeing as the Anoat sector contained far greater resources, I don't believe it's necessary to go that far. Five ASK/DICE threads is a little too short for my liking tho. Could you do me a solid and adjust?

I totally take your point on the square thing - a previous incarnation of this post made clear that this was not square grabbing, but rather focused on the cluster of planets on the correllian run where it bottlenecked on the edge of Imperial space. The fact that they all happen to sit near enough in one grid square just made it easier for reference. Somehow that got lost when I rejigged it.

I have added two more missions - is this what you had in mind?

Okey dokey, @Ulysses, it checks out!

While similar plots may not require PvP, your expansion grab is beginning to encroach a little into the Alliance's sphere of influence, hidden and intangible as it is. Mind switching one of the threads to Open PvP? All I ask.

Tagging @Nefieslab as he is the present Imperial FL for thoughts.

Aside from that, everything looks good.
