Kyi had agreed to escort the Rebel Gervais Duval transporting cargo and supplies for the Galactic Alliance, in case any pirates would try their luck with the cargo on board. Kyi was accompanied by Jedi Master Eisa Swan and Jedi Padawan Kye Gruu'kran on this mission also. It was a simple mission to Ithor and a good way for Kyi to become more in-tune with the Force. Kyi's relationship with Gruu'kran was...complicated but improving after they dealt with a raider problem on Dantooine some weeks prior and Kyi wanted to use this as time to hopefully grow closer to both Kye and his Squadron leader, Eisa.

During the trip to Ithor, Kyi passed the time honing his lightsaber form, Ataru as a better chance to survive this crazy war. Whereas Kyi and Gruu'kran took the time to practice in strengthening their connection to the Force through a lot of meditation - much to Kyi's dismay as meditating drove him crazy. Kyi also used his free time to get some piloting tips from Eisa, learning more ways on how use the Force through his piloting endeavours. Now with Kyi and Gervais, he didn't know the Rebel very well - first meeting him through this mission, but the Knight was a sociable person and hoped to at least become an acquaintance of the older man during this trip.

Gervais had made the decision to cut through a debris field outside the not well-known planet Corstris. It was a dangerous move but it would get the mission done quicker. Currently, Kyi was in his quarters, messing with his lightsaber to pass the time while also staring into the void of space through his window - it was...calming.

Getting out in the galaxy felt good, working more for the Galatic Alliance was... okay. Kye's loyalty fell mostly with the Jedi. With order. Mostly, it seemed the Galatic Alliance felt like a group of insurgents trying desperately to feign law and order. However, Kye trusted the masters, and if the masters were allied here, Kye would do so willingly.

The mission was really simple, transport cargo. Kye came mostly because as a member of Star Squadron he was useful in situations that can go wrong in space. Less so, he came because Kyi, the padawan he had worked with on Dantooine invited him.

There wasn't much to do, so Kye did a lot of meditating as the freighter cruised through open space.

Kye was in the cockpit when Gervais had decided to go through the debris field. Kye wasn't one for cutting corners, especially when they came with needless risk. He went to the back to fetch Kyi.

He knocked on the door before stepping through the open door. "We're about to enter the debris field... We may need you up on the bridge."

Gervais was by no means much of a fighter pilot. The reason behind him piloting the vessel instead of the younger hotshots was beyond his understanding, but then, who would dare to take the helm from the grumpy old man? A smirk formed on his lips as the freighter made its stead way through space. It was never his intention to come across as grumpy, but sometimes, it just happened, especially with the youth he didn't know. Working together with people was always a boon and more times than not, the key to getting out of tricky situations - working with the Jedi was more than that, it was a privilege. So far, he had only worked with other rebels on his rather low profiled tasks.

Looking over to the Bothan next to him, the older man broke the silence "I think my youngest is around your age. Crazy about ships, blasters and whatnot." he said fondly with a nostalgic smile, only going by the looks of the teen. "It is brave of you to be out here already. There was no way that I was gonna let mine leave the farm, not now." the rebel kept blabbering, trying to strike up conversation. He drew air to continue the attempted dialogue but fell silent. A larger metallic object floated past them. It soon became clear that he was fully focused on the piloting of the ship, barely even noticing the Bothan leaving to fetch the other Jedi.

Cutting through the debris field was a risk, certainly. But then, the debris didn't appear to be too shattered to be flown through and the cargo and supplies they were carrying were needed by their allies. "Steady now" he mumbled as they entered the field, making it past junk, rocks and shattered ships of various shapes and sizes. With immense focus and calm, the freighter made its way further and further through the perilous area in a manner which could generously be interpreted as elegant.

The calm wouldn't remain, however. A stream of heat from the engines remained behind the freighter; a stream that ignited an exposed fuel tank floating in behind them. The risk of such a thing happening was slim, but it was bound to happen to someone. The vessel was propelled forwards, and hit multiple pieces of debris causing it to become highly unstable. Multiple alarms went off, making the even hard to miss by anyone who didn't hear the loud collision noises. "That's not good" he said whilst desperately trying to regain controls over the ship.

Well this was an escort mission that she had not really been expecting! When the young Jedi knight approached her for support on escorting a transport ship to Ithor, the ashen haired Jedi master initially expected to be flying separate to the transport ship. Though as it would turn out, it wouldn't be the case. The three Jedi would be on board the transport, as a means of either bolstering the crew compliment or guarding the cargo from any potential boarding parties that would try to capture the ship. Though she didn't mind the change in pace, she did find that the freighter's owner, well the she presumed that the older male was the craft's owner's insistence on flying the ship did leave the Jedi master in a rather bemusing situation of becoming rather fidgety during the flight so far. Meditation had been done to it's death during the trip, so the Jedi master found herself retreating to the rear of the ship, picking up some tools and setting about to carry out some routine maintenance on the ship's s

Cocking her head slightly as the transport violently shuddered forwards, the sensation was almost like the first stages of the freighter's break into the upper atmosphere, Eisa simply shrugged at first, figuring that they were running ahead of schedule. The turbulent shudders of space craft didn't really worry the Jedi master, owing to the fact she spend her child hood and early youth living aboard her father's bulk transport ship - a shudder of the ship was like water off of a duck's back for the ashen haired female. What however she had not expected was the that rocked the ship violently before suddenly the distinct sound of the hull being pounded by countless unknown objects. This wasn't supposed to happen during a break into atmosphere, the Jedi mused as she looked around the compartment she was in, her eyes narrowing as she listened out to the various groans of the hull and the ships systems under the constant hammering from outside.

Then her ears picked up on something that definitely didn't sound right, alarms started ringing out throughout the ship. Almost instinctively the master sprang up to her feet, ditching her acquired tool satchels and bolted towards the front of the craft, gesturing for her droid to follow. Pausing momentarily mid stride to brace herself against a bulkhead as the ship veered to the side slightly. "What in the Kriff is going on?" Eisa called out as she steadied herself against the lurching motion of the ship. Her gaze fell upon the young Bothan padawan who came staggering out from the bridge of the ship over towards the dormitories up ahead of her, an eyebrow raising in a questioning look at the revelation that the ship had strayed into a debris field.

The Jedi Master's mind ran through the situation that was being presented to her, the shuddering of the ship and the unmistakable groans of something being removed that shouldn't be removed, and Kye's announcement that they had entered a debris field, this needed the Jedi onboard to step up and spring into action, otherwise the ship would be torn apart. Eisa had experieced that for herself during her training as a Jedi during the entry into Ellora, and somehow managed to walk away from the wreckage of the ship - she didn't want to tempt fate to see if she could pull it off again. Pressing into the corridor that Kye had stepped into and disapeared from, Eisa closed the distance towards the two younger Jedi. "Kye, Kyi Both of you man this ships turrets, blast any bit of debris that comes our way" Eisa instructed as soon as her gaze met the other two Jedi. "I'll go assist on the bridge, Ditto gonna need you to run damage control bud" she continued, as her attention moved towards her droid, who in reponse simply chirped back before it's casing split open and it's inner appendages sprang out before scuttling away towards the engineering section at the rear of the ship.

Leaving little time to linger further on the matter, Eisa swiftly made herway onto the ship's bridge, making a bee line over towards the co-pilot's seat beside Gervis, and fastening herself in with restraint harness. Her bright emerald eyes scanning over the various read outs before reaching over and pressing down on a few of the more urgent of flashing buttons. "What do you need me to do Gervis?" Eisa spoke out as she silenced the last of the alerts flashing up over the console's readout.s

Kyi was deep in thought when he suddenly heard a knock, then followed by a familiar voice, it was Kye, the Bothan informed the Jedi Knight that Gervais had entered a debris field and that he was needed on the bridge. Kyi responded with a nod and got out of his bed and followed Kye toward the bridge. As the two made their way to the bridge and the ship was flying through the debris field, Kyi received that confusing feeling again - he wasn't sure if it was just his anxiety about being in a debris field or if the Force was warning him something bad was going to happen.

As if right on queue, Kyi heard a rumble outside the ship and then it was accompanied by a sudden jolt in the ship's movement which staggered both him and Kye. "What was that?" he asked the Bothan while looking around the ship for any hint as to what was going on - then an alarm began blaring thoughout the ship's interior and it didn't take long for Master Swan to arrive, seeming panicked, which confirmed his suspicion that something bad was happening. Eisa ordered both Kyi and Kye to head to the ship's turrets and destroy any debris that threatened to harm the ship. Kyi responded with a simple "On it!" before accompanying his Bothan ally to the ship's turrets.

Kyi jumped into the seat and placed his hands on the control wheel that was connected to the ship's turrets. He placed a communications device around his ear so he could communicate with Kye who was manning the turrets on the other side of the ship,
"You ready, buddy?" he said, eager for some action after this dull trip, even though their lives were at stake - "This is where the fun begins." he said quietly to himself with a smirk.
