So basically I'm not allowed to dislike stuff. Alrighty then, I'll go back to doing what I was doing.
Ewan McGregor did a better job as obi wan than Alec Guinness.
People are too devoted to hating george lucas, and give him more credit in killing star wars than he deserves.
Many people infer too much real world issues into star wars, especially about characters or species they hate to the point of absurd comparisons and accusations. Though thats less a star wars thing as it is a fiction in general thing.
Grand Admiral Thrawn was a better villain than Palpatine ever was. I would also say he's more competent (and thus far more dangerous) than Vader.
I thought the new technology in the Prequels made up for a lot of the story failings. I hate the Gungans but their cities and technology was awesome. Thought the Separatists were never adequately explained or even talked about, but loved the Battle Droids (roger roger).
Artoo did not need to be in the Prequels.... neither did Threepio. It was shameless fan service and only added plot holes and contrived BS to the canon as a whole.
Most people give the nod to Traviss as the worst Star Wars writer in the EU but I would disagree. RA Salvatore did more to harm Star Wars than Traviss ever did. He killed Chewie, and I will never forgive him for it.
Anakin goddamn Solo... prick.

I think the Skywalker family's power is horribly overdone. In both canon and the EU.
I can't stand Obi-Wan in the prequels.
"From a certain point of view" is the worst plot device ever.
Leia was a boring character.
You know what? **** Luke. I can't stand him in pretty much anything.
"We" as in those of this site, or "We" as in the fanbase as a whole across the internet?
Because I was more referring to the later than the former.
If George actually killed Star Wars with the Prequels, I doubt there would of been as many books, games and shows bwteeen Now and when Episode III was released.
Both. The idea that prequel detractors hate George Lucas, think he ruined their childhoods, etc. is ridiculously overblown. That was media hype from the fallout of Episode I's release in 1999. Some of those people exist, but not many.
All I know was what I can go off from youtube comments and "the people vs george lucas" documentary. I don't actively seek out negative opinions or positive opinions, which is perhaps a flaw in my opinion building.
The People vs. George Lucas is a wonderful documentary. Restored my respect for George Lucas by the end of it.
