  • Name: Ura De Tsuki (Counter Moon)
  • Coordinates: P13
  • Hyperlane: Nearest hyperlane is the Corellian Run
  • Climate: The climate is naturally cooler than most. It only receives 8 hours of sunlight a day, so this makes the dwarf planet cooler, however it is in close proximity of the sun, and the larger planet it orbits acts as a heating lamp, giving life to the dwarf planet. There are only two seasons on Ura De Tsuki, what we would call Fall and Winter, however, every three years a a heat cycle starts, and lasts an entire year, many dangerous fauna and animals come to life during this time, the heat cycle also makes it unbearable to stay outside, however it is not life threatening. During the heat cycle a very large rain storm takes over. It doesn't rain any other time other than during the heat cycle. The rain is cold, that way the animals and plants that need to cool to survive aren't killed off by the heat cycle.
  • Terrain: The planet is encompassed by thick forests, the canopy's of the trees have evolved to withstand the snowfall that happens throughout the three years until the heat cycle, which the trees then shed their leaves to allow sunlight and rain to touch their roots and water the ground. Near the three cities of Ura De Tsuki are rolling farm lands, the farmers have adapted the crops to grow year round, so that when one crop is finished another is immediately planted, no matter what season. The only hard part is the heat cycle every three years. The cities and farm lands only account for a total of 10% of the dwarf planet, the rest of the planet is uncharted, unmanned wilderness.
  • Rotation: There are only 8 hours during the day, but the rotation is a full 19 hours. The night life is where most of the organisms come out, the day is usually only for the farmers or business people. The other 11 hours are filled with sleep, or partying.
  • Inhabitants: Ura De Tsuki is a wild planet, it was only inhabited close to 700 years ago by a military group looking for a base to keep its occupancy on the near by star systems. Only 18 years ago was it opened to the public, many star maps still haven't updated their inquiry on Ura De Tsuki. When the military group made contact with the planet they started cutting down forests and replacing them with metal structures. The secret bases were quickly overrun by wild animals, plants, and the planet itself. Only one base is clearly known throughout the planet, but it doesn't hold any inhabitants, instead it is riddled with fear, and anger. Some say when the planet took back its land it left the base as a reminder to the people, to leave the planet be. The clearings that were already there were then inhabited and the planet was left without its industrialization period. However, instead of being stuck without money and bankrupting, a spaceport was set up on the surface and in orbit, it was a much needed stop for space travelers traversing the Corellian Run. You can find any sentient species there that you could see anywhere else. Humans and Duros however are the main inhabitants of Ura De Tsuki.
  • Resources: Aside from the plethora of farm goods the planet provides, not much is known about the resources, like was mentioned earlier it is mostly uncharted. However certain tales tell of an old Jedi or Sith Temple hidden deep in the forest, it was used as a place of rest for weary travelers, and excavation for saber crystals. Long before the armies arrived the temple was swallowed by the forest, it wasn't torn apart like the bases were because of either the Jedi or Sith's power, but it was swallowed nonetheless. Still though these are just rumors, not much else is known about the planet.
  • Government: Contrary to what you might think, Ura De Tsuki is ruled by a dictator. Though not in traditional sense. There is a leader in every city who has clearance to do with that city has he or she may wish, but before they can carry on with said plans they must be approved by the ruler, Master Cornoa Holt, a notorious pirate from the outer rim territories. Some people who hate the thought of being ruled by one man, in this case one Rodian, say he's never even set foot on Ura De Tsuki, which is fine I suppose, he's extended our revenue ten fold by selling to pirate gangs, allowing smugglers safe passage, giving bounty hunter refuge, creating fugitive safe zones. To those he owes favors he gives them large plots of land on Ura De Tsuki to do what ever they wish with it. He just sits in his orbital station looking down at the planet below. The three leaders who contact him have their own councils they confess too, ask for advice from, but Master Cornoa Holt likes to keep it simple, three people report to him every week to tell him how his planet is, no more, no less. It works.
  • Culture: The culture is simple, people farm, people work in factories, people sell goods and wares, people come and go, people live their lives. There is no bleeding heart nationalistic support group for the government, nor is there a rebellion uprising happening. Ura De Tsuki people just go with the flow. No qualms to speak of. They don't side with either Jedi, or Sith in any debate nor do they side with Republic or Empire. The people just are.
  • Technology: Basic Technology, orbital platform above atmosphere for defense capabilities, along with several pirate gangs to back up the government, they have been turned into hired hands, and two star destroyers for a defensive Navy. The planet is completely self governing. They trade with anyone who will buy or sell, with no strong opinions on what you do with it you need. Imperial front line troops need food? Buy from Ura De Tsuki, Republic soldiers need weapons, buy from Ura De Tsuki.
  • Satellites: The planet itself acts as a moon to a much larger planet nearby, the dwarf planet itself has no moons to speak of, only orbital stations, and satellites. The planet is in fact surrounded by an asteroid belt on the right side of the map, this is a nice barrier between the planet and blank space.
  • History: Nearly 700 years ago the planet was inhabited by a small militia of a neighboring planet, they used Ura De Tsuki as a base planet to keep watch over the star systems closest to it, almost as sort of a front line of defense. The planet didn't much like that, almost as if the planet was somehow alive, through the Force or some unknown power the planet possessed, but before too long the planet swallowed up and ripped apart what the militia had created, leaving only one base, whose name has long since been forgotten.
Sometime before that, a Jedi or Sith temple, not much is known about the temple, when or where is constructed, was placed on the planet, some say it was a a place for rest and respite for the Jedi or Sith that inhabited it, some others say that it was a mining facility to extract the saber crystals, these crystals were said to be unlike any that have ever existed in the galaxy to date, and only a select few knew about the temples whereabouts. Only those chosen would be allowed to travel to the unknown planet, to find the temple using the force and to collect the crystal to match their saber. A battle of some sort took place in the temple, and the little leeway that the planet allowed for the Temple was taken away. The power the temple possessed held it together so that the planet could not rip is apart like the bases that were to come, but the temple was fractured, parts missing, parts blocked. No one has ever been inside and lived to tell the tale, not a single life among the stars is still alive to have ever entered it. The only clues to that the temple was ever built in the first place are the light sabers that remain scattered throughout the galaxy, and Master Cornoa Holt has one.
Rumor has it that Cornoa Holt won Ura De Tsuki in a sabacc game from one of the generations of the militia that had lived here long ago. Others say that Cornoa Holt brought found the planet after being almost killed by a Jedi and that the force guided him here, he escaped to the jungle and the Jedi wasn't strong enough to last and died, thats where he got the saber, after he survived the Jedi the planet bestowed itself unto him and he became the ruler. Some others say he saw the planet and said, "Mine". Many rumors surround the Rodian, but he is the ruler of Ura De Tsuki, if its self proclaimed or bestowed, it doesn't really matter.
  • Intent: I want the players, especially the force users, to really delve into the mystery of the Jungles, I want them to want to find the hidden temples and bases, to RP the destruction. I gave very little information on if it was a Jedi or Sith temple, perhaps it both? It really just depends on the RP that someone does on the planet. I also gave a reason for scoundrels and Bounty Hunters to come to the planet, Its the perfect getaway planet to come to. Many adventures can take place here, but my main purpose is to have people explore the Force on a deeper scale, ponder the reasons why the temple was built, why the temple was built, I want them to explore with their words on a planet that can be used by anyone. I also want my Jedi character (when he's done) to find the exhilarating side of the mysteries of the planet. I will be spending a lot of time here exploring the force. I hope that others do the same as well.

Hey! Just letting you know, this needs to be posted in the unapproved planets section.

Also, WIP profiles are generally frowned upon. If you put it up, it should be ready for an Admin to critique it.

No problem man! Generally, its good to write stuff like this externally, either on a cloud service like Google docs or a local client like Word.

Well, I wanted to correct a few things here, but due to the fact that the author was last online in the early August, this planet will be ARCHIVED.
