The V'zari, native to the planet Ci'phae, are considered one of the most honored and feared sentient species from the Unknown Regions. Their culture was deeply spiritual and warlike. War was seen as an essential part of life, and wars between houses were common.

Biology and appearance
The V'zari can have a skin of any color; white, blue, green, purple and red complexion are examples of most known pigmentations. The V'zari also have facial markings, which are unique color patterns that vary for every individual. Some of these facial markings are associated with eyebrows by humans, but the V'zari do not think of the markings as such themselves. In the place of head hair, V'zari possess semi-flexible, cartilage based scalp crests that grow into shape. These structures are rigid, and do not "flop around" as some believe. V'zari also have a robust cellular regenerative system; while they do not heal faster than other species, they are known to reach over 600 years of age. V'zari blood is black.

The V'zari are a mono-gender, being all members of the specie females. They also can mate and successfully reproduce with any other gender or species. Although they have one gender, they are not asexual. An V'zari provides two copies of her own genes to her offspring, which is always an V'zari, regardless of the species or sex of the "father", and in the case that the offspring is of two V'zari, the "father" is the one who does not give birth. They also can reproduce from parthenogenesis.

Breeding

With member of other species:
  • Duration: 9 months of gestation
  • Distinctions: Skin pigmentation resulting from the mixture between the skin color of the mother and "father". They also acquire certain characteristics of the "father" species.
With other V'zari:
  • Duration: 7 months of gestation
  • Distinctions: Skin pigmentation resulting from the mixture between the skin color of the mother and "father".
From parthenogenesis:
  • Duration: 5 months of gestation
  • Distinctions: Same skin color of the mother.

Strengths and weaknesses
Due to they warlike culture, the V'zari eventually desenvolved a natural ability to combat, increasing their strength, constitution and dexterity. They also possess a military knowledge that is passed from generation to generation, like martial arts and battle tactics.

The V'zari also developed a natural instinct to hunt they targets, this is due to thousands of years not only hunting their rivals, but also the countless predators of Ci'phae.

They also have a weakness against poisons and diseases out of Ci'phae, this is due to the fact that they body is not prepared to face unknown microorganisms. This situation made the colonization of new planets would take generations to achieve. This forced them to manufacture enviro-suits to protect themselves from this threat.

The mono-gender specie have a huge weakness against the Force, this because they body does not develop midi-chlorians enough to perform the simplest powers, even with heavy training. Force-sensitives of the V'zari specie are very rare, being dated only two force-sensitives over the past nine centuries. In the V'zari culture, a force-sensitive individual of the specie is considered a living goddess.

Society and culture
V'zari society was a classical meritocracy, where rank and status meant nothing in comparison to a being's actions and achievements. V'zari houses were led by matriarchs and the loose affiliation and cooperation between them was the closest the V'zari had to a standard government, the houses and their matriarchs were all subordinate to the Qe'zari, the one individual recognized as sole ruler of the V'zari and the nearest parallel for a proper head-of-state. The V'zari held a general dislike for a system of hierarchy, and held no interest in ranks, they were extremely cooperative when in battle. When drawn together as an army, V'zari easily settle into an informal command structure, arranging their priorities on outcome rather than personal ambition, and it was this flexibility that contributed to their success as soldiers.

The V'zari were a spiritual people, believing that those who performed great deeds in life became goddesses in death. Therefore, burial places were sacred to them. War was viewed as an essential and sacred practice, and the culture's large emphasis on honor was known to spur many acts of vengeance among the various houses.

Hierarchy

V'jaeh'riim
V'jaeh'riim is the initial caste of the V'zari society. All the young V'zari who have not made the V'mer'sha (The way of the huntress), a rite of passage usually made when a young complete 15 years old, are within this category. They have no voice and no power in they House. They sole task is learn from their mothers, aunts, cousins and older sisters about their culture, traditions and knowledge of combat to prepare themselves for the V'mer'sha.

They are also taken to the halls of reproduction, where pregnant and thus help to increase the number of members in they House.

It is the most popular caste in V'zari society. Its members are those who have managed to complete they V'mer'sha successfully. They have a little power and voice in they House, having influence on the V'nee'sha and the V'jaeh'riim. Also, they major responsibility is hunting and fighting the other houses, but when not at war they are placed in caring of they younger and inexperienced sisters, aunts, cousins and daughters.

V'nia'sha
When a V'zari manages to finish her V'mer'sha with something extraordinary, they go directly to that caste. Have voice and power in their House, being respected even by her sisters from upper castes. His major responsibility lies in serving its matriarch as elite warriors, gaining the top positions in the army and the best jobs in the city. Unlike the V'nee'sha, who are forced to reproduce when ordered, the V'nia'sha can choose not only when, but also who will be her partner.

V'nee'daeh
One of the higher castes of the V'zari society, V'nee'daeh is totally focused on the reproduction and war. It is usually composed of the best warriors of the House. Also, they only breed with others V'nee'daeh or upper castes, keeping their strong DNA to their daughters.

V'nia'daeh
It is a caste that can only be composed of a single individual, usually is the most influential and powerful daughter of the current matriarch occupies this position. Your goal is pretty much the same as the previous caste, the only difference is the member of this class is destined to inherit the leadership of the House.

V'nee'maeh
It is the second most powerful class of the V'zari society. Its members have the sole purpose of reproducing and assist the main matriarch in her government. They are very respected and sought after by members of lower castes by they wisdom and experience.

V'maeh
It is the highest caste of the V'zari society and can be occupied by only one person. Its main responsibility is to reproduce and rule the House. Also called "The Matriarch", is well respected not only by members of her House, but the other also.

Technology
V'zari focused their technology on the creation of military equipment, being one of the most advanced in the Unknown Regions. With the fabrication of different type of armament and warfare technology, the V'zari became deadly enemies even for a Sith. The V'zari navy and ground forces are very known for their destructive power. On the other hand, the medicinal and civilian sector evolved more gradually causing the planet turns in a giant warlike factory.

With the colonization of other planets, the V'zari began to study the use of biochemical weapons, creating various weapons of mass murder. However, on planets like Ba'huan, research is focused on medical technology and civil infrastructure.

History
Pre-Qe'zari (unkown - 12.000 BBY)
For thousands of years the Houses of Ci'phae lived warring each other. During these chaotic times four Houses stood out from the others, the House of Nne, the House of Zah, the House of Lia and the House of Ahi. With they well-trained armies, advanced technology and superior strategy they subdued the other minor Houses, and soon after began to battle each other for dominance of the planet.

The First Qe'zari (12.000 - 11.601 BBY)
After years of conflict, was born in the House of Nne a force-sensitive which was believed to be a living goddess for her abnormal abilities. This child grew up and eventually learned to control such power and became the first Qe'zari, unifying all the Houses. Times of peace and cooperation started, technology has advanced very quickly and the population multiplied alarmingly.

The D'ogo Invasion (11.600 - 11.500 BBY)
The D'ogos, a species of mollusc, fish and anemone humanoids, who lived in the deep of the oceans of Ci'phae marched to the surface and attacked the V'zari. Led by the Qe'zari, the mono-gender specie bravely fought to expel the invaders. During the final battle in the Io'hum bay, the invaders are finally defeated and flee to the deep ocean, with the cost of the Qe'zari's life. After the victory and the death of they leader, the Houses began to fight each other again.

The Second Qe'zari (11.500 - 5.000 BBY)
thousands of years later, born in the House of Lia the second Qe'zari. In her reign she made the military technology develop twice and formed an army that seemed to have no end. She soon begins a massive crusade against the rest of the D'ogos, attacking they underwater cities and conquering them. After decades enslaving the D'ogos, the two species began to create links between them, negotiations, friendships and even marriages were made between them. Afraid that D'ogos betray her people, the Qe'zari orders a mass execution, leading the D'ogos to near extinction. Sometime later the Qe'zari was killed during one of her hunts by a Ar'dha'ma, leaving the Houses without leadership. The old days returned again.

The Great War (5.000 - 3.500 BBY)
The four houses were weakened and this resulted in the rise of House of Ira, which has a vast and mighty army of V'zari and domesticated predators. They have won numerous victories against the others House, even the House of Ali. For fear of being overwhelmed by a House considered lower-level, the Matriarchs of the other three majors Houses formed an alliance, gathered the minor Houses that still free and went to war. The war lasted for one thousand years. But finally the House of Ira was defeated and it was decided that all its members were executed. Secretly, one Matriarch of the alliance saved a baby of the House of Ira, a force sensitive, who grew up and develop her skills.

The Third Qe'zari (3.500 - 2.900 BBY)
The third Qe'zari, also called "The Avenger", was the last member of the House of Ira adopted by the former Matriarch of the House of Zah. In her reign she ordered the execution of all the V'zari who participated in the massacre that led to the near extinction of her House. She chose the new matriarchs breaking the meritocratic tradition, and made an alliance with the D'ogos. It was during her administration that her people finally colonized they first planet, Ba'huan. The V'zari society evolved as a whole. The Third Qe'zari had several daughters which after her death continued the lineage of the House of Ira in Ba'huan.

Pre-legacy (2.900 BBY - 1 ABY)
The V'zari with they warlike culture never stopped fighting and evolve their technologies of war. Using resources of their planet to make different types of weapons and armor. Armored vehicles and starships have also undergone a major development at this time. While the Houses of Ci'phae focused on military technology, the House of Ira in Ba'huan focused in the medical technology and civil infrastructure, developing and selling their products to their sisters in their species homeworld. Secretly, the Matriarchs of Ci'phae signed a pact to kill all children who were born force-sensitive, so that there was one more Qe'zari and they do not lose their power over their Houses. Many other planets were colonized and the V'zari culture spread in the region.

Legacy (1 ABY - current)
Years of war have passed, nothing too abnormal for the V'zari, advancing their technology and combat skills. Now the wars were not just in the planet, but in the space and the colonies. The V'zari domains undergo in bloody battles mixed with wrecks of starships. It was during one of these wars that a starship of explorers made their first contact with the V'zari, such event happened two hundred years ago, making the V'zari a enigmatic species for the rest of the galaxy. Without leaving they region the V'zari are hardly seen, causing only few travelers had a truly contact with the species.

While a hardy, war like mono gendered species is nothing new, sorta like the Crystavians - my ultimate concern is that they seem a little " too adaptable/skilled " I want to say an asari, krogan and vorcha got smashed together to bring only the best traits of them together with really the only flaw being the rare force connections and sensitivity to its use against them, but on the other end- you have accelerated healing - better strength, better dexterity, better perception skills, ontop of what is basically an immunity to climate and atmospheric conditions.
thrown all together comes as highly over powered on a few levels, Id personally suggest picking one or two of the most notable boons and build upon them with a good ideal of the comparison , IE how say a crystavian is physically on par with a wookie strength wise, or a Danthiri is weaker than humans but far more dexterous - something to give a good idea about " where" they sit in scale and give better idea of their uses. the impervious to climate conditions and such bit feels...off..more so with an amphibian based species as biologically amphibians are generally one of the most hypersensitive of genus to environmental changes - thats more of a personal note of my own.

so its a really good start, but I think needs just some fine tuning and balancing

I'm not sure if it matters, but the Asari model was already used for another species: Lamian.

The two races are distinctly different though, so I'm not sure what to make of it. Just thought I'd make you aware.

Distant cousins

That's definitely worth taking into consideration. Might prove to be an interesting angle too. How the two split and began to differ as the eons passed. Just spitballing, here.

Is an interesting idea. I put a section about V'zari language with some words, just for curiosity.

(increasing their strength, constitution and dexterity) still a blanket term, what is this compared to? strength closer to an average human male? or an exceedingly well conditioned human female? or more like another species known to be slightly stronger. It may seem like nitpicking but its really helpful to give an approximation of where they stand on these sort of things so it sets a universal norm for people making characters of this species

I'm also still slightly edgy on how much of the asari traits they kept - riding a pretty fine line - which I can see alot went into it, and Id hate to keep dragging things out because of, but I just cant help but notice in alot of areas, they basically still are asari in function, with different words, and some side things like not force sensitive, and an almost quarrian inability to deal with illnesses not pf their homeworld ( which I actually really like because it seems fitting for a new species to a galactic community ) so I would really consider one last look over and make sure your really diverging away from the inspiration as much as you can without having to start over -
