Which Faction Needs the Most Help?

I'm working on my first character (gasp), and I'm torn between the Rebellion, the Sith and the Hutt Cartel. My character is a lawful evil shithead, but I've got the writing chops to make him fit in with any of the factions, even the Rebellion.

The question is, which faction could use another guy? I did a cursory glance through the three factions' OOC sections, and their member-bases seem pretty stable.

Is there anyone that could use a little extra boost in activity, though?

Faction-progression wise, I would say the Rebels need the most help. In actually doing...things. The Cartel could say the same, but for the most part, they have been relatively active in helping the faction expand to some capacity, but I personally think the Rebels need to get on the ball the most out of the factions working right now. Maybe the Jedi too, but you're looking at a lawful evil type character, so your best bet would be with the Rebels, probably.

Sidenote: I will say you'll probably have a better time and still be able to help the rebels out by joining the Cartel. My two-cents anyway. I'm sure someone else can jump on this thread and nitpick every line where I'm wrong or not right enough.

Well, my indie faction can always use help, we have some big plans in the works, but need people to do them.

Rebels or Dark Jedi... I rarely see anything about them on the site, which to me says they need help.

I appreciate the sentiments, but this advice isn't very helpful to me. The faction that works best for my character, plot-wise, is the faction with the numbers/activity I'm looking for. Bit of a catch-22 there, I suppose.

In any case, thanks for the replies all. Looks like I'll be hopping in bed with the Rebellion.
