IMPERIAL KNIGHTS
MISSIONS

u4QM613.jpg

Below you will find a number of Missions and Targets of Opportunity specific to the Imperial Knights sub-faction.

Certain Missions will not be exclusive to only to Imperial Knight characters, however these exceptions will typically be related to ex-Imperial characters and still require the presence of at least one Imperial Knight.

Just because your character is a part of the Imperial Knights does not restrict them from taking part in other Rebel Coalition Missions. They're still part of the overall Rebel faction after all. With that being said, I strongly encourage people to undertake these assignments over others as a priority, given that we are a smaller group than the greater Rebellion and thus there is a need to foster and show activity.

These Missions are written with the development of both Imperial Knight characters and the faction itself in mind. The idea is for every Mission undertaken to either contribute something towards the strength/growth of the Imperial Knights, or at least form part of a greater overarching package with the same result. This is intended to make you feel like you are actually doing something productive for the sub-faction with your writing, rather than just throwing you a vague outline and hoping you enjoy yourselves... though, the latter will always be the priority, of course.

Though a number of former Imperial figures and their subordinates have defected to the cause of the Rebellion in the decades following the rise of the New Sith Imperium, there yet remain elements within Imperial society who have always, or have only now begun to question the rule of those in power. Few would dare to openly make their dissident views known of course, let alone act upon them. With that said, given the right (or wrong) circumstances, desperate men can to spurred to take a stand for what they believe in.

Blah, blah, younger officer - sympathetic to Rebels? Unpopular Admiral? Tight situation? - Ready to or encourage defection?

Ubi prisoner release -> Some important escape -> Pursued afterwards -> Imperial Knights intercept?

The Ubiqtorate's little stunt was daring and ultimately beneficial to the cause of the Rebellion, not only for the discord that it sowed but for the potential for recruits and veterans to find their way to a now visible, aggressive Rebellion. As anticipated, the release of millions of Imperial prisoners under the false behest of the Empress did not go unnoticed for long. In the time between their successful release and the stifled bureaucracy of their command structure realising that they had been well and truly duped, a massive number of detainees had managed to put enough space between them and their former captors that hunting down every single dissident was going to be an impossible task. Some among those 'pardoned' were more important than others however, and given the sheer number of detention and prison facilities that the Imperium had constructed, some had an easier time escaping from hostile territory than others.

Among those imprisoned by the Imperium were a high number of individuals of varying importance that shared similar views, or were already sympathetic, to the fight of the Imperial Knights and other ex-Imperials under the banner of the True Throne. From military personnel, to politicians and businessmen, for one reason or another, they had been silenced and locked away by the Sith-ruled Empire they had once served. Few of them had been stupid enough to voice such opinions with the Sith hanging over their heads, but one way or another, they had found themselves at their mercy. The Order has always had a bad habit of alienating their otherwise loyal subjects like that, ever ignorant that it was the masses who permitted their rise to power in the first place.

Sins of the Father - Whether by fortunate or even worse luck, Admiral Armin Stahl of the Imperial Navy was apprehended only a week before putting into action his plan to defect from the New Sith Imperium. Whilst his closest subordinates were arrested and imprisoned alongside of him, the time it would take to thoroughly purge the Admiral's enlisted ranks of dissidents would greater far longer. Merely executing a whole squadron's worth of personnel - many of whom may have been ignorant of any wrongdoing - wasn't seemed an appropriate course of action, even by the Imperium. Although Stahl succeeded in his goal of reaching the Rebellion (albeit in a less orthodox manner than anticipated), the Admiral's loyalty now comes with a price - the continued life of his daughter.

Still housed deep in Imperial space, Stahl's few remaining contacts confirm that - for now - she is alive and well. The Admiral is rightfully concerned that the Sith will move on his only kin, whether to gain leverage or simply to take revenge for his defection. Emerra Stahl currently resides at her home on Mygeeto, and though her father had put in place contingencies to maintain her safety in the event of discovery it is doubtful that her limited protection will suffice should the Sith pursue her in force.

Primary Objective(s):
Extract Emerra Stahl and safely return her to the safety of Rebel lines.

Secondary Objective(s):
Remain undetected for the duration of the mission.

Crimson Sepulchre - Among those imprisoned by the Imperium were a number of survivors of the original Imperial Knights. A considerable amount of effort has gone into attempting to locate these individuals of high importance; able-bodied, fully trained and loyal Knights are too much of a rarity among the resurgent order to afford otherwise. Contact has been made with one small group of escapees – numbering a mere three in total – however it has quickly become apparent that the Sith are actively in pursuit of the Knights. Trapped so deep in Imperial territory, the group has requested an immediate extraction by forces loyal to the Rebellion.

Their last transmitted coordinates place them on Dantooine. The Imperium shouldn’t be anticipating a rescue to be launched, particularly not this far into their space, but these escapes remain one of their highest priority targets. It is reasonable to assume that the Sith would rather eliminate these Knights than allow them to escape to Rebel lines. As always, the maintaining the internal security of the Rebellion at large, as well as the Imperial Knights, remains a key parameter. Until we can interrogate and discern that each member of this group are who they claim they are, keep your guard up and ensure you aren’t walking into a trap.

Primary Objective(s):

Locate the escaped Imperial Knights.
Extract the Imperial Knights to Coalition territory.

Secondary Objective(s):
N/A

Not since the Bespin stuff, which Insoulent actually gets most of the credit for. I need to revamp the mission focus' so there's more Reb vs Imp stuff, so people actually feel like their doing something with their fucking lives when they do these missions.
