Chalacta

zYvlN0jm.jpg

There was absolutely a lesson in this and Loa wasn't pleased that she couldn't figure it out. She sat in silence overlooking the rolling hills and forests. Occasionally she watched as a shuttle would land in the distance or take off from a camp set up for travelers. Chalacta was desolate and the isolation of it was enjoyable, though she would admit, she was beginning to miss her family, Silas, Alex, and all the other children at the orphanage on Andara. She had spoken to other monks about her homesickness and though some were very dismissive of her situation, others were more accommodating on her feelings of longing to be back to others.

Loa knew she could leave at any time, but the adept's exploration into the Force had drew her interests. It wasn't like the Jedi Knights she had come to know, these individuals were more spiritual, seeking their guidance and knowledge in the Force that seemed to sharpen their minds and focus their resolve.

Though Loa on the other hand was just tapping into her potential, her connection with the Force had strengthen and she wondered if she would strong enough one day to be a Jedi Knight as she aspired to be. The dark haired girl looked down at her hand, the riddle was written on her palm so she could think about it more. She found it irritating to think on something that she wasn't even sure what to think on.

A trail of dust in the wake of the speeder flies up into the air as it speeds over the terrain. That is still there is a load boom that shoots out a chunk of metal from the engine. White smoke comes rolling out of the hole and every other opening in the chassis. Nasikey brings the speeder a stop as it losses power and make contact with the ground. Nasikey pulls the pack on the back off of the speeder and steps away from it for a few minutes to let the smoke clear.

Nasikey gives a slight sigh at the sight of things but mostly because Nasikey knew that it was about to get dirty. Pulling off the blue and white hooded robe and the black jacket to let them rest on top of the pack so they do not get soiled, leaving Nasikey in a loess fitting white tank top. After opening the panel, some more smoke rolls out of the speeder. Nasikey starts to dig round to find out that was wrong. The long lightsaber hanging from Nasikey’s belt dings on side of the speeder as the hips abject around it. From afar it would look the speeder was eating some poor young woman with her lower half hanging of it. It would not take long for Nasikey’s upper half to get grime all over it and the young Jedi begin to grumble about it. It wouldn’t take long to find that cause of the breakdown.

Eydis needed a break. As she raced through the stars at hyper speed in her gauntlet fighter she took in a hefty sigh and leaned back in her worn, peeling chair. Her hands gracing the ripped leather arm rests. Her visage scanning the multitude of switches, flight instruments, red buttons, blue buttons, green buttons, and interfaces galore. Her mind ached like it was physically sore just from looking at ever, like it needed a nice relaxing massage, a break away from the dangerous, risky and adrenaline pumping world of being a smuggler - not even to mention the war going on between these Jedi and Siths, what with their magical powers and lazer swords. Luckily, she knew just the place for such a break. Chalacta. It was a place of never ending green planes and prairies, of blue skies and of crystal blue waters. It was a place of paradise, and the perfect place to take a break. She looked to one of her interfaces, her navigation screen in specifics. It was a blue screen with a map with several points and coordinates pointing out several planets and moons that she had visited, yet to visit, or was going to visit.

She shifted forwards lazily, sighing for a moment as she dotted in the coordinates with her left index finger. After a moment of exhausting thought her starship gave a powering up sound of rushing energy, electricity and fuel - and a moment later. Her ship shot off towards her destination.

The planet itself was pretty on the outside, proudly bearing blue and green colors like awkward banners and carpets. Eydis took her star fighter into the planet and started to shoot down, herself bracing her already leaned back position further into her worn chair. A mere few seconds later her ship shot like a meteor towards the atmosphere of Chalacta and within a few seconds of slight adrenaline that was worn down time after time of doing this, she entered the planet. She was pleased to say the least as a wildfire grin crackled across her face. This was just what she needed.

Lush, green forests and fields, plenty of blue lakes and oceans, brimming wildlife and not a sign of a town or a city. Only the sign of a uh..smoke? As Eydis slowed her ship for landing, she spotted a small cloud of black puffs of cloud. It was obviously smoke and Eydis proved this to herself using her ship's observatory capabilities. She'd slow her ship further and further. opting to feed and please her curiosity as she brought her ship down vertically about 200 yards from the smoke. She couldn't get a good view of who it was, but she knew a busted speeder when she saw one. Eydis knew her way around machines, perhaps she could help. Maybe some credits in for her, or a favor if this was someone important, or perhaps even a friend.

Eydis landed her ship as grass was spat away from the landing process. The ship hefted onto the grassy prairie with a satisfying bump on Eydis's sitting position. Eydis grumbled to herself and steeled her resolve as she made her way up from her seat and out the door of the pilot's cabin. She made her way past the living quarters on the left and the storage on the right and out the boarding platform. Instantly bombared with the nice weather and fresh air, Eydis chuckled and made her way towards the speeder, calling out casually towards the robed figure of which she still couldn't really identify.

It wasn't uncommon to see speeders; Loa knew that there were the occasional merchant who went from village to village selling their goods and trading from other systems. Most of the villagers were not wealthy enough to own parts and still prefer what many would consider primitive, that of using animals for transportation. Loa watched the speeder though, there wasn't too much else to look at, but sometimes, she felt like she may needed just nothing to look at from time to time. However, as the speeder crossed the rolling prairie there was a distinct mechanical snap followed by the spilling of smoke from the engine of the speeder. The individual riding it looked slightly out of place, but then again, merchants always wore unusual garb, a mix-match of what they had collected in their travels.

Frowning, she'd best offer them some help, plus it would get her mind off the riddle she had been fumbling with in the past hours. Climbing off the stone, she grabbed her staff that rested against the side of the stone and begin to walk towards the rider and his broken transportation. Her senses stretched out, making sure there was nothing malicious; it was also not uncommon for slavers to scout out for potential profits. However, nothing gave her the sense of unease and in fact, she could feel their presence also.

In the distance also, she saw a ship land and at that point it made her uneasy; she stopped and watched for a moment as light haired woman exited and approached the young man and his speeder; from her observation it didn't look like they knew one another, however, if they were able to fool her senses and be present for something other than exploration and trade, she would be ready to stop them.

Loa got close enough before speaking up, "Hello there!" she said, her light eyes studying the one who she could feel in the Force, "Looks like you've gotten yourself in a bit of a rut." she said looking at his speeder.
