Biology
Slender and Lithe, they have pale almost bleach white skin and bright colored hair ranging from pinks to blues. Their eyes are very acute and range in color from a shining gray to a shining blue and any color in the spectrum of blue and gray. However they can have other colors but that is rather rare. They are also noted for their elf like ears inherited from the Sephi.

Not born so much as originally created around 50BBY, they were created to be the next line of Soldier’s to overthrow the Dominion. Their Creator’s fled to the unknown regions when the Jedi arrived to return order. As such They were created to be the perfect warriors, they were fast and strong to the point of rivaling Wookiees. While weak and fragile looking their bodies are indeed very strong to handle the excess muscle strength. They also have the luxury of being able to absorb most of the nutrients of the food they eat so that even on long campaigns or in areas with scare food they could still survive and operate at optimal levels.

They were spliced together from Sephi, Arkanian Offshoot, they were modeled to be even more long lived like the Sephi, adaptability to the genemods of the Offshoot. After the defeat by the Jedi, they were modified to have similar resistances to Force techniques that effect the mind. like the Epicanthix. They have a light blue blood and also have the ability to have new limbs grown and attached to them without the side effects most species might have as well as regrow or repair some of their own organs.


The ability includes repair of the spinal column from light or moderate damage, and repair or regrowth of the Liver, and smaller less important organs. While they can repair damage to the spinal column they can't regrow new ones and fully severed ones require time and really skilled healers and doctors to reattach without side effects. Since they were created as soldiers they don't have blood types making each member both a universal giver and receiver for blood.

Breeding
Sexual or for same sex partners through a type of genetic manufacture. While they have the ability to reproduce without the need for any sort of genetic modification, it is extremely common for parents to undergo treatments to make sure that the baby will have the desired traits. Usual full biological adulthood is reached at close to 20 years but adulthood status isn’t considered reached until close to 80 years , full age for both sexes can reach as far as 700+ but its not uncommon for them to live only 600+ years. It is believed that interspecies procreation is possible sexually, however it is almost always done under the watchful eyes of the Geneticists to make sure there will be no problems, this has the effect of mating with more than the usual human like species. Their genes tend to be the most dominate or engineered so they are.

Strengths
The were engineered to be able to run faster than average for longer periods of time as well as engineered to be be nearly as strong as Wookiees with a skeleton that is stronger then Bonemer. The have continued to modify their ability to heal quickly, their bodies are able to except new cloned organs or regrow in some cases the damaged or destroyed organs (chiefly repair the spinal cord, parts of lungs, teeth, liver, some smaller internal organs). Created to be resistant to mind altering effects of the Force, they like the Epicanthix have a very high natural resistance to reading of minds by the Force and to mind tricks in general. Bred with natural resistances to some of the more common weaponized gases: Coma, Dioxis and Stun gas being them. It allowed them very limited exposure to them without succumbing to the effects of the gases. They had excellent visual acuity and reflexes as well as slightly above average night vision.

Weaknesses
Tended to shy and despite being ideal soldiers they were very slow to anger and quick to forgive. They only used violence as a last resort. When they were in new places not around family or their own kind they preferred to keep as little of themselves exposed as possible. Rarely did they use their full strength in combat, they tended to always hold back not wanting to release their full strength. They tended to be very secretive with those they didn't know and were rarely the first ones to talk or to have started a conversation. Their good eyesight came with the downside, they are more prone to temporary blindness caused by things like Flashbangs and hibernation sickness as well as the effects lasting longer on them. As a side effect of their ability to regen or accept new organs is that full dunks or even a moderate application of substances like Kolto or Bacta can cause severe anaphylactic shock that is deadly to them. Very localized external application is considered best practice when dealing with Kolto or Bacta. In the cases where it is needed, it should always be done under the care of UCOG with a Xanthos Force Healer present in a very controlled environment.

Diet

Omnivorous, but mostly rely on food packs that they can quickly eat and their bodies can quickly break down.

Behavior
Peaceful and borderline pacifists. While some of them have the aggressive attitudes of their Null Ancestors, they try to either engineer it out or work their life to not succumb to it or few will join UCOG as part of the Self Defense Force. The few times they have have had to use violence they tend to only the amount needed to end the threat never more.

Communication
Verbal, Basic, they also use a sign language when they want to talk to one another when out from their planet.

Culture
They are very clan based, tending to keep to their clans and are not big fans of large groups. While on their planet it is very common for them to dress in more revealing outfits, when seen abroad or outside of one of their small enclaves they tend to wear armor or clothing that hides their white skin and their bright hair color. While they do have a loose central government each clan or enclave supplies its own warriors and only in times of need do they unite. The only real exction is they do maintain a small "Army" of full time soldiers who are assigned to the various enclaves and cities to help if they are needed. They tend to avoid conflict and when they do engage they prefer commando style hit and run to all out warfare. Force sensitives are extremely Rare and are considered members of all the clans. Those very few, 1 in every 100 million births, are trained to be healers, not dissimilar from Voss mystics.

While there is a central government of sorts, most of the species live in what amount to city states and enclaves across the planet. A hold out of their family first ideals. While they are well aware that they don’t need to keep onto the various modifications that had once made them ideal warriors, they keep holding on to them as a reminder and a safeguard. So that hopefully they are never used for anything that they don’t want. While it has been hard to break out of their shells in the greater galaxy, they tend to be loyal and start opening up once they get accustomed to their new group; will start to see them as their family. Once that happens they will start to treat them the same and open up around them; stay protective of them.


Since the population has grown, its not uncommon for the species to pick up the extra protective and aggressive traits of the Null Xanthos from in the past. While most parents choose to have this gene brought to more acceptable levels, some do keep it and find themselves working to either overcome it through willpower or hone it to use it as a member of the self defense forces.

History
Created as the next step to make sure that the Dominion lost control of Arkana a band of rebel cyberneticist and geneticists set about drafting and creating what they figured would be the soldiers that kept the peace. So they started tampering with various species before creating their Null line. However, they came too late to be of any use as the jedi help secure the Dominions hold over the planet and the scientists seeing the writing on the wall fleed.

Their creation’s were perfect in their eyes, they were easy to modify and resilient frames that were designed to be stark and easy to see. That way everyone would know when they were on patrol. They had fled first to Imynusoph before finding the route to a world over a ways that would keep them hidden from their jedi pursuers. The Scientist were able to bring their vast facilities and technology with them. They started on their next batch of warriors based off the genetics of the Null production they brought with them. So created were the Aurek batch. However, something had happened and the Aureks, unlike their cousins in the Null batch were far from aggressive and were almost passive. While they scientists worked on what went wrong they decided that they should remove what the seen as the inferior ones by killing them. This was not an immediate plan, but it was the plan. They waited and watched as they grew, the small population of scientists taking very careful notes on the Aureks to make sure that they kept what worked great and what didn’t they could remove.

After a time the two groups intermingled and the Arueks who were working as assistants started to teach their more warlike cousins. This had forged the bonds that the groups were family, this was reinforced by their enhanced loyalty. While they had been breed to be loyal to their creators they instead found loyalty to one another. So when the time came and they Nulls were asked to destroy their cousins so they could begin the next batch there was outright revolt. The Arkanians were quickly removed from power and set adrift on a ship with no hyperdrive by the Nulls. Only the Aureks intervention saved the scientists a fiery death into the sun. This cemented the idea that the species was on large family, an idea that still holds strong.

The Nulls knew that they were too aggressive and if those traits stayed they would never survive. So when they started to breed, the Aureks were asked to make sure that the aggressiveness of them would never be a thing. With time they as a population grew. Some cloning at first but over time relying on “Natural” births.

Over time they have become a rather large if unknown population that has a few enclaves on a few planets. At one point when the first force sensitive was born they were visited by an ancient Jedi healer who trained the young one to be able to assist the people of the planet with their medicine before passing onto the Force. Their closeness and loyalty are still as unmatched as before with the species as a whole staying away from violence with one another. Though they have had a few skirmishes it has never been very bloody. The only real bloody time in their history has been when pirates had tried to abuse the natural good will of the planet. The few times where pirates have landed either to gain access to or to plunder their genetic knowledge have always ended bad for the pirates.

The bloodiest bout happened when one had forced them to clone him a small army. The pirates then intesified the mistake by trying to force slavery on the female population while holding the top scientists under guard and working on this clone army. This ended rather badly for the pirates as whole communities banded together and using their talents they had trained, honed and perfected after years of genetic manipulation, started to remove the pirates army. Killing them off it flash raids that left the half trained and barely old enough army to fight. It finally ended when the Zabrak pirate lord finally took the lead scientist and threatened to kill her that he learned of their true strength. In what was recorded by the few pirates that were left alive she moved as such a blur they could barely see her overpower and massively dislocate the man’s arm and proceeded to end his life with some well placed blows to the chest. After that, the pirate stood down, and as they had long ago with their creators the pirates were set adrift with no hyperdrive and no communications or navigation towards the unknown.

Since then the United Council of Genetics (UCOG), the ruling body of species, has since formed a small self defense force that is made up of small commando units, to patrol and secure their borders from the various cities and enclaves that dot the planet and their very few offworld enclaves. The self defense forces are also often signed to other enclaves or The whole time since they have been on the planet they have focused on growing their knowledge and new things about Genetics and how to apply them to themselves and how to at some point overcome their shyness and help the galaxy at large progress.

While they don’t like to let their technology go off planet they do trade it in very rare circumstances at a very premium price as well as help out in hospitals and other areas of that field. They do have traders and their own manufacturing base that they help keep their economy afloat but they generally only sell from they enclaves so few in the greater galaxy know who they are or where the goods they might be buying even come from.

Technology
On the medical and genetic field they are top notch, while they are somewhat isolationists and secretive with the outside world, they have kept up to date with the advancements in the Galaxy. While they tend to shy away from normal cybernetics, they are fans of bio mechanical implants that work nearly as well as the more mainstream cybernetics.

Intent

I wanted to create a race that seemed to be missing from the Star Wars universe that broke many of the traditional Archetypes that the galaxy has on species while making one that I felt would be a bit different to play from the said archetypes. Namely that if you are strong, you have to be culturally primitive and if you are smart you have to be weak. Also I there are no real space-elves as wolver put it, and aside from the Diathiam there are no real humanoid long lived alien species and I was feeling that needed to be fixed since I wanted to play as species with a rather long life.

From reading the biology, weaknesses, and strengths, this species appears extremely powerful with very little drawbacks. The only prime weaknesses stated are being shy and not prone to violence (which seems strange considering that they were bred to be soldiers). My recommendation is altering some of the strengths into weaknesses. I.e. Their natural healing ability is unreceptive to artificial means of healing such as Bacta or Kolto as the body attempts to fight off the foreign entities believing them to be disease or pollutants. Personally, I would recommend sticking to largely agile or super-strong. While there's nothing wrong with being agile and strong at the same time, it is a bit extreme that a person can dance around like a fairy around the battlefield and be able to rip the arms off a man using Wookie strength. To be honest, the species appears a super-strong Sephi with other addenda.

I pulled back the fast and agile to being faster than average for long periods of time. I added that they can regrow or repair some damage the biggest is spinal cord injury repair. I had debated the point of the healing but it seemed odd that as soldiers they would have an effect to the agent but I see your point so I changed that around. I also would like to point out that in the history it explains why they tend to be against violence but I added some of it into the culture section to better explain it. While they tend to be similar to them, it makes sense since they are part sephi at one point. Though I disagree about them on other parts being like them. Aside from their old age and pointed ears they don't act much like the Sephi culturally or behaviorally.

I will look over this application again this weekend. I'll be honest, changes likely will be needed. I also need a fleshed out Intent. To be honest, simply wanting to have a species that can brag it's joined the Modified-Genome Club that the Arkanians and Kaminoans are a part of is not a valid justification for the creation of a new species in a universe filled with pre-existing species.
