Xiang Liu
Faction: Jedi Exiles • Rank: Apprentice • Sect: Arcanists • Force Sensitivity: Yes
Homeworld: Panatha • Species: Epicanthix • Gender: Female • Age: 19
Character Data
-
Her frame is slender, but athletic. Though her species sport tan skin, Xiang underwent several painful treatments to rid the tan pigmentation from every inch of her skin; leaving it ghostly white. To further draw out the ghost-like appearance, she at times wears white make-up to give the image of death.
Occasionally she will don the traditional garments associated with the Exiles, dark robes. However, she normally finds better comfort in wearing silk based robes or clothes, opting to utilize colors and images associated with death or fear. Also, when the mood moves her, she will wear masks of red or black or in combination of the two colors to hide her identity. -
What is known, she was sent to an orphanage immediately after birth and was raised there until she was seven. Around the age of seven, she was adopted by an off-world family and whisked away to the planet of Coruscant. However, the ship malfunctioned, forcing them to crash upon a seemingly unknown, hostile world. Everyone aboard the ship died for the exception of a few survivors; including Xiang. Starving and alone, the survivors began to find ways to alleviate their situation the best they could; resulting in acts some would judge as horrific.
After a few weeks on the planet, those that remained where discovered by a group of Jedi on an expedition mission. It was here that these Jedi discovered the young Xiang was Force sensitive; and returned with her, after dropping off the survivors, to their Jedi enclave. Over the course of the next ten years, Xiang began to develop within the Force, though she was showing great interest in the Darkside. Her Master, forbade her from seeking out knowledge connected to the Darkside, citing reasons associated with the on goings of the galaxy; mainly the tragedy at Ilum.
It was during a routine mission that Xiang finally succumbed to the Darkside; aligning herself with the Exiles. Out numbered and practically surrounded, Xiang and her Master fought hard against a band of Exiles. Wounded and angered, she stared at the three captured Exiles feeling a calling to dispense justice in her own way. Her Master sensing this try to convey to her to get her anger under control; leading to a verbal disagreement that turned into a physical altercation. The three Exiles watched, with glee, as the two Jedi fought one another; encouraging Xiang to strike down the closed-minded Jedi. In the end, she struck down her Master and two of the Exiles in anger. The third Exile found the right words to set her confused mind at ease; promising her untold power if she joined them.
After many discussions, Xiang turned her back on the Jedi; turning Exile herself spending the next two years learning and growing in the Darkside. Free from the restraints of the Jedi, Xiang began pursuing her passions; the arcane, alchemy, and the art of mental domination. -
Xiang is a very aggressive confrontational individual. She views everyone as a potential target to be eliminated in pursuit of obtaining both power and knowledge; which she will go to great lengths to achieve. She is very untrustworthy, opting to deceive and lie to get her way. Xiang is also greedy, refusing to share in anything she obtains such as knowledge; and will kill to keep her secrets safe.
Xiang does not make friends, by her choice, leading to what some would view as a loner. Those she does associate with, are viewed as tools to be manipulated for future gains and standing in life.
Xiang is unique in her view of killing. Though it warms her cold heart to take lives, she does so only if there is no other course of action. When she does kill, it's usually discreet and cunning; unless she forced in a situation of self-preservation, then she will kill relentlessly. Because she has separate view of killing from other Exiles, Xiang opts to dominate and control targets; turning them to her cause or manipulating them for advances, discarding them when they have exhausted their uses to her. -
Xiang dabbles in the mysteries of the arcane, seeking power and knowledge from within the dark arts. She spends most of her free time studying, researching, and practicing the art of magick. As a side project, Xiang has been indulging in alchemy, learning the various applications associated with it.
Outside her pursuit of magick, she favors using defensive Force abilities to counter her average skill with the lightsaber; but she does tend to focus on mental manipulation. Like her study of magick and alchemy, Xiang has begun conducting extensive research and experiments to unravel the intricates of the mind and psyche.
Other than strengthening her command of the Force (Darkside), Xiang possesses few skills worthy enough to ensure her continuous survival. Xiang is well versed in herbal and plant sciences known as botany, knowing how to grow herbs for both positive and negative uses; such as growing food and producing poisons.
She will never be known as a computer wizard, however, she does know her way around computers; at least slicing and hacking less complicated systems. Xiang can be called a linguist, learning and knowing several different languages fluently. -
