DESCRIPTION
Resources are commonly thought of in the form of physical materials like stone, metal, ores, even timber or gases like tibanna. Known deposites and areas with these are closely guarded and costly to acquire. So the search for undiscovered resources is forever persued by the those willing to traverse the void, or at least willing to pay for someone else to.The Yalub STS - 5 is Bellica Works Incoporated answer to the Core Galaxy System's Farsight scout ship. It is noticibally an overall inferior product but BWI knew they could not match CGS's borderline luxury scout ship. Instead they went for the more pragmatic and industrial angle. Because of this the Yalub is far more like a hybrid between a nerf herder light freighter and a farsight. It also makes it far less costly to both produce and own allowing for more clientele to purchase and make up for loss in prices.
Whether a user wants to scout the edges of wild space, try to navigate forbidden space in the core or search for resources on behalf of an employer the Yalub is a solid choice. It bears long range scanners for analyzing planetoids, asteroids and other points of interest. Its long range comms allows the Yalub to relay their findings so ships capable of mass collection and hauling can come to the location.
The laser cannon on the surface of its 'deck' allows the ship to fend of dangerous pirates and other undesirables that one often finds lurking beyond the reach of the law. It is common for an STS-5 to have a small collection of scavenger or collection droids since it lacks any tractor beam that the farsight bears.
LEGALITY
Legal with permit and a large amount of registration.INTENT
There is only one official 'scout' ship submitted so I figured I would make a starter craft for those characters that are more interested in that aspect of space travel.ADVANCED TECH
No. This should be available to starting players, is inferior to the nerf herder in terms of freight and combat even while definitely not as good as the farsight. These are common on an industrial scale across the galaxy.
