What is it that makes a person who they are? Is it their birth, or is it their environment? That debate has been raging for centuries without abating, and still we are no closer the answer. Of course, we should add a third influence to the two mentioned previously - that of the Force itself. After all, there have been those touched, Chosen, by the Force since birth, or even before that. What, then, made me?
What am I? A predator, yes as the Sith usually are. A killer, that goes without saying. A being of anger and hate, of Passion; that, too, is not unknown amongst our kind. A Sorcerer, indeed yes, but that is just a word, a simplification that hides what that truly means. A Bringer of Chaos - well, is that not true of all life? Life is Change as Life brings Change - this is not to be debated. Perhaps things may become clearer with a look to the Past; let us see.
I was born on the volcanic world of Mustafar, and I suppose that world's raging infernos and boiling rivers of lava and molten iron match my temperament when I release my emotions from their restraint. It certainly was evident during my childhood; I hated both my brothers, often fought them to prove my superiority, and was regularly beaten as a result by my parents and tutors. I soon grew to hate them too, but that hatred I hid; they were far too strong for me, then. One must know which fights to pick if one is to survive, though it is true that some fights are thrust upon one whether one desires it or not.
I soon found that there are other ways to fight than simply using one's fists. One can use one's mind and tongue as a weapon, stirring up hatred amongst others till it erupts into violence. That I did, setting others on my brothers by starting anonymous tales of how they abused other girls then drugged them so they forgot. Of course, I made sure they were found with the drugs in their possession when the angry brother and fathers of the girls came calling! My younger brother died, my elder crippled for life, and I? I pointed the security forces at those who'd attacked them! My family torn apart by people they'd known as neighbours; those neighbouring families destroyed by their sons and fathers being sent to prison! And no-one suspected me ... after all, what can a young child know of such things?
Of course, it is clear to me now that the Dark Side was already whispering to me of the power of anger and hate to achieve what one desires, to strike down others and take one's place at the head of the seething mass of humanity. And it wasto me that it spoke; I found no hidden cache of Sith holocrons, had no Dark Jedi tutor in the ways of the Force. No, the Dark Side called to me and I listened. Willingly. Eagerly.
Then They came. The Sith. They came to Mustafar for reasons I know not what, but they found me and took me back, back to Korriban to learn their ways. Imagine their astonishment when they found I could already use the Force to manipulate others to my will, move objects with my mind, even resist heat and fire by thought alone! I was trained by Sith Masters and learnt faster than they could teach me. They taught me the Sith Code and the central tenets of their belief. And it was there that I came to understand a fundamental truth about the Galaxy, even the Universe.
Matter without Life is simple, it is largely unchanging, winding slowly downwards through the Entropy Effect to the Heat-Death of the Universe. Life reverses that; it builds greater complexity. Life has the power to reverse a fundamental Law of Creation! It can change the cosmos! And thus, not only is Life complexity, Life is also Change; it brings about Change by its very existence. Therefore Life must be about bringing Change, not sterile Order, but glorious Chaos! At that moment I made it my life's work to bring Chaos to the order-loving denizens of the Galaxy. I would show them the essence of what Life is, or kill them trying.
It is perhaps a little unfortunate that so many people are slow to learn, and thus die during their lessons. Or perhaps it is not unfortunate at all, but Natural Law that they die; they could not learn the truth of Chaos in life, so they had no reason for existence. I merely swept away what was useless rubbish. I have travelled to many worlds, trying to awaken others to chaos and strife. I have had to kill many, including wielders of the Force such as the blind Jedi, and even Sith who could not learn truth in time to save themselves. But in order to sculpt perfection, one must cut cleanly and mercilessly. The Force is the offspring of Life, and since Life is Chaos, then the Force itself must be the pure essence of Chaos, and used to further Chaos. The Jedi fail to acknowledge this, and use the Force to spread enervating Order amongst others as they do within themselves. For weakening the true strength of Life, the power of Chaos, they must be exterminated, the social order of the Galaxy thrown down and Order cast into Chaos, that Life is strengthened by conflict and strife.
I began to search out the ways of the Dark Side. I travelled to worlds steeped in its power to learn what I could. In these travels I did find and plunder secret libraries of knowledge. I found Force crystals that opened one's eyes, and other senses, to the Dark Side. I found substances that resonated with Dark power and could be used for alchemical purposes. I found holocrons of ancient Lords and Masters and took their learning for myself. And I found more; I found spirits.
Spirits of the Force, they were, though not like Force ghosts; these lacked their individual identities, and most of them hungered to devour the life forces of any that they encountered. Not surprisingly, such entities were to be found only in the darkest, loneliest places of the Galaxy, otherwise their predatory natures and unquenchable thirsts would have led to their discovery, and likely destruction or banishment at least. Still, I tracked them down and turned them to my will. These are not like the zombies of Korriban - they are shadows within the Force, true ghosts, if you will.
It may be surprising that entities that have lingered for so long that they have forgotten their identities in life might be of use to a Sorcerer. But they have power over those not blessed by the Force, especially the power of fear, as they often resemble the withered husks of their former lives. Find such spirits, bind them to your will, then unleash them on those you wish to test - or destroy.
I have learnt this, and other things too. I bring the fire of the Dark Side to burn away the weak and useless, leaving only that which is fit to survive. The destruction I wreak contains within it the germ of future strength that must be set free for the Galaxy to thrive. All that which seeks stagnation must be brought low, mewling Order undone, Chaos sown in passing and allowed to thrive, that adversity strengthen those that survive.
I am Zarinia, the Bringer of Chaos, and I will see the death of the Jedi and the shattering of social order wherever I pass. It is the way that things must be. It is the way that things will be.

Unusually for a Master, she has only studied one Form, though she is a true Master of it.

Zarinia, as with so many Sith, is infused with anger and hatred. Like so many powerful Sith, however, she has learnt to control those emotions, to use them to fuel her lust for power rather than be overwhelmed by them. She is also dedicated to spreading Chaos, seeing it as being what winnows out the strong from the weak - a quiet, ordered society allows the weak and foolish to prosper, instead of allowing them to die out as they should. By bringing Chaos to the settled and secure, she stirs the Cauldron of Life that the Strong may spring forth and take their rightful place in the Galaxy - at it's head.
Her dedication to Chaos does not end with the settled and pacified society, however; she sees it's need amongst the Sith themselves. She stirs up her fellows and challenges them to demonstrate their superiority over lesser beings by throwing obstacles and tests at them. A gathering of Acolytes to test themselves against one another might suddenly find an angry Terentatek coming into the room, and they have to show their skill or cunning by surviving! She may suddenly cast Force Lightning at a passing Acolyte, or even Marauder, to see if they were alert as they should be at all times. She may even interfere with the plans of another Master or even Lord, so that they may become stronger by overcoming adversity!
As a self-proclaimed 'Chaosbringer', she has no permanent residence anywhere, save on the dark ship she calls home; the Black Blade. This stealthy, extremely fast ship is only lightly armed, relying on speed and agility for safety - with a small helping hand from the Force, of course.

Well, there we have it; another Sith. A bit more conventional in her motives but hopefully with some individuality. I've left off Force Powers after the debate on a previous character. So, comments anyone?
