Zechs's greatest strength is his military mind. He can easily devise superb military tactics and employ them with lethal efficiency. He is also able to use knowledge about his enemy's previous battles to form battle plans specifically to defeat that specific opponent.
Zechs's greatest weakness is that even though he is a skilled tactician he has low actual experience in combat. Another weakness of his is that he has only nominal training in personal combat and would not be able to stand up to a trained soldier in a firefight or hand-to-hand combat.

PERSONALITY:
Zechs is a man with a very strong sense of honor. It is his belief that the rules of war should always be followed and that proper respect should be given to an enemy at all times. Also, he does not look down upon those who are a lower rank them than him. He understands that they are not expendable and all of them are very important to a working military. This is one of the reasons he is often respected by his subordinates. He will also always shows the proper respect to his allies. Those who would betray a comrade or ally for almost any reason are considered worthy of nothing but contempt by him. He is generally not given to strong emotions, but under certain circumstances he has been known to lose his cool slightly. Otherwise he is a calm confident leader.
HISTORY:
Zechs is from the capitol planet of a small Monarchy that shares a border with Republic space. He was the second son of one of the most prominent families in the Monarchy's fleet. It was always expected that either him or his brother would rise to the admiralty just like their father, grandfather, and great grandfather before them. For the most part he grew up rather normally for someone with such a powerful family. As soon as his brother was old enough their parents sent him off to the Monarchy's most prestigious naval academy. Then two years later when Zechs was twelve his parents sent him to the same naval academy.
Here he began to learn how to become a proper naval officer to serve the Monarchy. He also began to come in direct conflict with his brother. They were each at the head of their class and Zechs was always challenging his brothers records, he even succeeded in breaking many despite the fact that they had only stood for two years. Yet, he learned more than just military skills. He also began to learn more about the Monarchy, the military, and even his family.
As he progressed though the academy he discovered many secrets that had been hidden from him in the past. Before he had believed that he would serve with honor and distinction. Now, though, he has discovered that his family was not known for military genius. Instead they were known for the manipulation and deceitful techniques. These turned out to be prided qualities in the Monarchy. He went to his brother when he discovered this, only to learn his brother had known for a long time and had used deceit to become so well respected.
Zechs stayed in the academy after all this, though he did so only because he was thinking of his future. He eventually graduated with honors from the academy, but then he caught the first transport to the Republic. He left his old life behind taking his knowledge and honor with him. He has since then he has been wandering around serving as a military advisor for multiple groups. Each time he decides to leave. Recently he had decided to join up with the Sailo Incorporated in hopes that they will have sufficient honor not to disgust him. This did not work out though as the organization quickly collapsed. Since then he has been looking for some other organization he can join with.
