Yeah... I just realized that Kai didn't bring a training remote and Soresu is designed to deflect blaster bolts... which is hard to do when you don't have something you can shoot with. Plus the remote is necessary for Tutaminis as well. :(

But don't worry once I finish another thread up I'll make sure Iris and Kai get some good quality training time in.

If you really want to make a sniper rifle, you should use a projectile weapon. Use some sort of mechanism to propel the object to near light speed. At 87% the speed of light, the impact a projectile makes when it contacts its target is equivalent to the objects mass in antimatter. That is to say, it makes a big bang. So having a large caliber rifle firing projectiles at 0.87c can potentially take out tanks and heavily armored infantry. Another advantage is that projectile weapons are capable of carrying additional payloads, or having a guidance and failsafe system (useful if a force user attempts to block or redirect the shot with the Force) They also can't be blocked by lightsabers.

Some should say of an NPC is needed or not. And if you're not sure just ask.

Some threads need an NPC to control the other characters, others don't. Generally higher level bounties or those targeting high risk NPCs need it, if the bounty is on a PC then they obviously get to control their character and the other NPCs.

If you're going for armor penetration, you're better off going for a plasma-based blaster. Those were meant to tackle heavily armored targets. But, no, a blaster bolt cannot be 'superheated'.
