Depends on what you want! ARES is good for the Imperial Knight types, Imperial Defector types (You'd need to probably clear this one with Blacknoise though), and the more spy type character's. The Rebel Militia is good for your standard Rebels, Pilots, and Soldiers whether they're fresh off the farm or Ex-GA. The Civilian Resistance is good for Pirates, Bounty Hunters, Smugglers and the like.

Yes, and to answer your earlier question, if there is no way at all to get out, then it would be godmodding if your character never died.

Just so you are aware, Geonosis is an ally of the Mandalorian Clans. Most of the galaxy knows that, so taking any action against them will have severe consequences.
