It's a word that I find myself constantly plagued by in lectures and just writing in general. It harkens back to the idea that the author should not be serving themselves, they should be providing the reader with an involving and ultimately worthit experience.

It could be a bit less convoluted, readers tend to veer away from things that involve a constant melancholy, it needs pacing, a motivation to keep going. Otherwise your left with a sort of hopeless feeling.

Lemme state that again.

The armor was given more importance in the write-up than he was.

The character is, essentially, a suit of armor. The tiger inside is an accessory.
