Jedi Temple, General Storage
The general storage room was actually less of a storage room and more of a dumping ground for stuff that no one wanted but no one wanted to throw away. So the room was filled with all sorts of stuff and a decent size, but it was rarely visited. That, of course, meant it would be perfect to set up a prank. She would have ample time to set it up, and if someone walked in, plenty of places to hide.
Maura was actually supposed to be in class, but she'd decided to skip when she'd been told there would be a substitute. She was finding it exceedingly difficult to go to class. Not because it was hard to get to class or anything, but it was just hard for her to want to go. Her teachers used to love her, but now they scolded her for everything she did. Likewise, she used to have friends in every class. Now they got fed up with her and told her to go away. Maura wasn't exactly sure what had happened, but she was trying not to be bothered by it.
"Class is boring anyways," she declared to herself as she teetered on the edge of a box ten feet up off the ground, fiddling with a mess of strings. "Everyone takes forever to learn anything and I could catch up in a day if I wanted to!"
With a final tug, Maura separated the bundle of string and began to use her sharp nails like crochet hooks to twist and knot the strings into something more suitable. The strings went off in two different directions with one leading to a bucket of water and falling down to the ground below. She was trying to create a slipknot of sorts that would tighten when pulled hard enough but would be able to be lengthed again later. It was needed for the classic bucket-of-water-over-the-door prank the alien was working on setting up, though her progress was slow going.
"It's not fair that I don't have a master yet, anyways," grumbled the kid as she dropped the finished knot from her hand and began to climb down the stack of boxes. "I'm totally ready for a master! I'm the best in all my classes!"
When her bare feet hit the ground, she grabbed the dangling bit of string and yanked it down from the tower as she made her way towards the to-be-pranked door. She began to tie the string around the handle, trying to get it taut without actually pulling the bucket down herself.
