Corellia, Alysa's first stop since she left Coruscant. During her studies she remembered it mentioned once or twice. It isn't a remarkable planet from what she could see from her ship, but she didn't care, it wasn't Coruscant and that was good. Alysa had spent all of her life studying and working on Coruscant, after her employer was almost completely destroyed, she sought to get away for a while, take an adventure.

"Quite a sight, isn't it?" she asked P.R.O.T.O.

"Yes ma'am." it's hollow voice replied. The Droid wasn't built to sustain any form of communication.

From the Pilots cockpit Alysa could see the planet in all of its splendor as she headed the ship for landing in one of its cities. As she neared the city she took note that the city was a lot "Shorter" than what she was used to. She almost would've considered it rural. Alysa took a sigh of relief, this would be a good beginning for her exploration of the galaxy...

After landing, Alysa and her assistant left her ship in the hands of the spaceport workers. She hoped that she could meet a local maybe, take a day to explore the city...

Odökkan stood in the market on Corelia. His Capital ship, The Dark Intent, was stationed on a nearby system awaiting his orders. The Chiss was taking a small break to the planet of the greatest ale. If there was one weakness for Odökkan, it was a good ale. His shouldered the disrupter rifle and headed towards a nearby bar that looked interesting.

It would be a strange, and perhaps dangerous, thing for Odökkan to wear his military uniform. Thus he had left it behind on the ship and donned a more appropriate casual wear. This consisted of a black armor over a blue fiberweave armor. Perhaps not the best choice, but it was highly flexible, something required for Odökkan's Echani skills. Of course, that was in the highly unlikely and unfortunate event that he got into a fight.

Of course, a Force Commander in the Chiss Ascendancy would never get into a fight.
Would he?

Alysa stood near a kiosk selling various odds and ends; a particular necklace had caught her eye and she decided to stop and chat with the owner. An attractive pendant showcased a shimmering black freshwater pearl accentuated by a row of icy white diamond accents. Alysa admired the craftsmanship, it was a stunning piece. However she was not looking to buy. She thanked the trader for their time and walked away from the kiosk.

The market was crowded but no where near as much as Coruscant's crowds, so she moved through it with ease. All of the shops seemed so different to her, she couldn't help but get sucked into every one. As she was traversing the crowd she bumped an individual slightly more than she had planned, stopping her where she stood. She looked up to see it was a Chiss wearing some sort of armor. Alysa immediately took in its qualities: lighter, flexible, and durable from the looks of it. He was either military, mercenary, or bountyhunter.

"Pardon me sir, wasn't watching where I was going."

Odökkan had not seen the woman.who had bumped him either, elsewise he would have moved out of the way. Looking down to her, he said in a flat, almost cold tone.
"That is fine. It would seem I was not watching either."

Odökkan kept walking toward the bar then. The very last thing he needed was to be discovered. After all, what he was doing was highly frowned upon. And a Chiss Admiral would have some explaining to do if he was discovered on Corellia for the sole purpose of buying an alcoholic beverage.

Before the Chiss could leave Alysa was able to spout off a few more words...

"you wouldn't by chance know of anything really unique to Corellia? Places, foods, or anything."

She didn't know if he was a local or just a passerby but anyone would most likely know more than her.

Pausing, Odökkan stated.
"Supposedly Corellian Ale is the best actually on Corellia. I'm going to test that for myself, and if you were wondering, no I'm not from around here."

Odökkan wasn't a mind reader, but he knew what a person thought of you as on a planet if they started asking questions only a local would know. He was anything but a local to the planet.

"alcohol is all they have here?"

Alysa sounded less disappointed than she actually was. Saying she wasn't a drinker was putting it lightly, reality was that she had never drank. Not because she didn't want to but because she never found the time. She looked at the Chiss, he didn't seem like a bad guy, perhaps he would help her out of her shell.

"I'm not very familiar with alcohols, what makes Corellian Ale so different?"

Aye leaned against the wall, his pearl skin somehow gleamed from the several bits that were exposed over his black robe and hood. The almond eyes scanned the cantina, he had left his blaster rifle on the ship. That size of weapon was much harder to conceal versus the thigh-strapped machete and tucked blaster pistol. Below his heavy robes laid a blaster vest, the resistance had already proved vital in his short but violent working history. Fingering threw one of his loose robe-pockets he played with a bag of pills, the small tablets floating over his indexes like water.

Aye sat down four seats over from the blue guy and human female. His trained ears allowed him to focus on the conversation despite the derisive atmosphere, he was most keen to listen if they were a couple. From his observation the relationship seemed chance, but it could have just been the awkward greeting of two lovers. He tapped a finger on the glass counter-piece, fixing his gaze on the bartender. "A local ale is all, Corellian elixir is the best in the galaxy!" His cheer aroused several of the patrons, the three sitting down from the man and woman were part of the little uproar.

"Aye, an' I'll drink to that!"

The small man perched on the barstool raised a glass a little too enthusiastically, and almost fell off his stool. He floundered, slopping the amber liquid onto his already stained clothing before regaining his balance and downing the last of his drink.

To look at, Chace Skirata was a metalworker, having his usual three after his shift closed. His coveralls were burned in tiny scatters, as if he'd walked through a rain of superhot sparks. He was short and stocky, had a toolbelt strapped to his waist, and rested his scarred boots on a clearly broken piece of machinery. His face, usually handsome, was flushed and slightly swollen, and his dark hair was singed back from his forehead.

The jocularity of his response to the toast was born partially out of agreement--he did love the Corellian Ale. But the single greatest emotion he felt was fear. Fear that he would be recognized by the very man who'd offered the toast to begin with. For hiding in plain sight was one of his best skills, as was fufilling archetypes, but he knew that he played a deadly game. For he'd fufilled the very same archetype before, in another bar, on another planet. While pretending to get drunk, he'd seen the young man rendevous with another being, one that Chace had been hunting. History was repeating itself, it seemed. Chace's current mark was slouched in a booth, comforting himself with a Hoth Blizzard, extra Lum Rum, and his favorite consort. Chace didn't want to just leave, he still had a contract to fufill, but if he was recognized he might as well throw a grenade into the middle of the floor and get all the damage and violence over with.

He rapped on the counter, and his drink was replaced with another. He continued to sip while watching a young woman speak with an actual Chiss, a shabla Chiss, and hope that the slaver would leave soon so he could continue with his surveillance unperturbed.

Odökkan sighed, he had to remind himself that the humans were not as intelligent as he. Speaking in a flat, non-condescending tone, he informed her.
"All drinks and foods unique to particular planets are best on the planet of which they were created. For example, Corellian ales will taste better on Corellia because the secrets of making the ale stay on Corellia. Thus why Corellian ale is cheap when not actually imported from Corellia, because many species try to make poor counterfeits and these insulting counterfeits do not even deserve the same of which they take.

Now, I'm going to go get one, would you like one as well?"

"I suppose I'll give it a wirl. How are we on time Proto?"

"6 hours until the planned time of departure ma'am."
it replied lifelessly.

Alysa gave the Chiss a smile, not that he would care. So far the Chiss seemed rather annoyed by her company but she didn't exactly care at this point. If he asked her to leave then she would, if not, she would stay and keep the company. Even unwanted company seemed a better choice than being kept company by the lifeless husk of a droid...

So it was just a chance meeting. Still this guy seemed interested, and shaking him might be a little hard. Horniness was persistence, and worse case he'd get two for one. Calling the bartender he asked for an exotic glass of wine from Tanaab, his hands hovered over the drink swiftly. Then he told the man to send it to the woman four seats down.

{waited long enough for posting order to continue}

Alysa was surprised that someone had sent her a drink. Before the waitress left she asked her to point out who it was from. Following her finger she spotted a Rodian, an albino Rodian. She gagged slightly at the thought of being with a Rodian. She smiled at him, but held her hand up, shaking her finger. He was not her type.

Turning back to Odökkan, she emptied her glass in the center piece of the table, a plant of some sort. Alysa wasn't oblivious to the world, she was curious why a Chiss would come to Corellia.

"So... Odökkan, is Ale the only reason you're here? I mean what do you do? are you," she laughed jokingly, "a bounty hunter?"

Odökkan ordered himself an Ale and nodded, answering.
"Actually, yes. Ale is the only reason I'm here."
He let a very small smile come to his face when she called him a bounty hunter, he added.
"No, I am no weak bounty hunter. Let it suffice to say I am in the Chiss Military, and I'm not supposed to be on Corellia just to buy Ale. But yet, here I sit."

He didn't think his superiors would take too kindly for him to simply 'go out' for a drink. But that did not matter, he did have a real reason to be on Corellia, which justified him being there enough. What the superiors did not know would not kill them.

He watched the bartender who pointed him out, anger boiling through his veins. He acted calm, calling the man for another drink. A second later his hands were latched to the bartender's neck, with rage-fuelled strength he lifted him over the counter. Intentionally the bartender's face crashed into the bar's floor, a smidgen of blood on both.

Two bouncers leapt forward against him, he reached into his pocket and pretended to wield a gun. Except his was real, only hidden behind cloth. He dragged him by the collar bone towards the club's exit, the bouncers forming a neat separation in front of him.

Alysa stood, like the rest of the patrons, to see what all the noise was. She was surprised to see that it was the same Rodian who sent her a drink earlier. Proto stepped in front of her as he was programmed to do when danger arose. She spoke as if she was thinking to herself...

"what the hell was that all about?"

Odökkan sighed, stepping up and shouldering his rifle, he really shouldn't get involved. Rather, leaving would be a better option. Of course, if they tried to attack him, he would kill the rodian. Looking to the woman Odökkan nodded to her and said.
"Well, it would seem I must be going. If I were found out to be here I do not think it would sit well with my superiors. It was nice to meet you miss, perhaps we'll meet again under more favorable circumstances."

A bouncer drugged on bravado charged the man, a shatter gun shell lodged into his body followed by several others and he fell dead to the ground. The other had attacked seeing his partner do the same. The second tackled him to the ground and began to beat his face, apparently this wily stranger was no good up close. The bartender ran out the door, free.

Alysa smiled at the Chiss, perhaps another time then.

"it was nice to meet you too," she looked to the fight once again, "you wouldn't mind walking me out would you?"

The Chiss looked over to the fight and sighed, annoying Rodians. Turning to Alysa he said.
"Not at all."
He opened the door to the Cantina and held it open for her, allowing her to walk out first.
