A Bus Full of Problems.

Rayne sat in the front most seat of the ED-3 Stargull passenger liner, taking note of every person that boarded the public transport. The ship was a decent size, and hosted a passenger capacity of eighteen. The crew closed the boarding door, and a prep was made prior to initiating take off. Only about half the seats were full on this flight, something Rayne was happy to see. With seven passengers other than Rayne herself, and the two crew members including the pilot, Rayne figured she'd be in for an easy time on this little side project of hers.

Rayne had worn her armor into the republica controlled space, but kept her helmet in a backpack she wore slung around her back, she'd have likely been arrested if they had seen it prior to take off. Rayne double checked her weapons, all were in order, and concealed under her poncho.

The ship was taking off from Nimban, breaking atmosphere, and supposedly heading to Myrkr, or at least that's what everyone's passenger tickets said.. Rayne however had other plans for this ship, its crew, and its passengers. She didn't plan on killing anyone here, but she sure as hell wouldn't take the chance if someone else started waving a weapon around.

After a while, Rayne estimated they were somewhere near Gizer, just a little over halfway to their destination. The attendant, who was actually the copilot doubling as an attendant, the star line must be hurting for people. was down near the back row of the liner, and Rayne stood up pulling her Renegade Heavy Blaster Pistol from its holster on her right hip, and sliding her helmet on from it's bag.

No one had yet noticed Rayne's movement, something she was about to fix.. With a loud whistle Rayne called the attention to herself. The seven passengers, five of which were Nimbanels, and the attendant slash copilot all looked up at her, Ladies and Gentlemen! I believe you all know what a robbery looks like.. If not, prepare to bare witness to it's enchantment.. Rayne called out as she pointed the blaster at the nearest Nimbanel, and pulled it from it's seat. Screams of protest came bellowing from the now scared captives.

Pressing the barrel of the heavy blaster pistol to the female Nimbanel's head, If nobody moves, nobody dies.. Rayne said as she pulled the girl backwards toward the cockpit. Rayne donkey kicked the cockpit door open and keeping a hold on the girl and keeping her in the doorway, Rayne pulled the blaster barrel from the girls head and pointed it at the pilot in the cramped cockpit, Land on Gizer or I'll vaporize you and this girl! Rayne yelled at the pilot. The man yelped and then started clicking buttons and pulling the ship out of hyper space. The star streaks outside the window slowed and stopped taking their place in the distance. Good, so far so good... Rayne thought.

[Brianna Saxon]

Brianna felt the shuttle drop out of lightspeed, and now it was time to make a move. Nicely done Rayne. The Mandalorian slide on her helmet and came out from the back cabin of the shuttle, dual pistols out. She intercepted an older man trying to draw a blaster, and did the right thing of cold clocking him. "Listen old timer, you don't want to be the hero today." She warned, then seized the weapon. There was lots of confusion as the newly appearing Mandalorian began to herd citizens together, but it certainly did it's job. Brianna did a sweep of the back half of the ship, and gathered the stragglers up to move to the front surprisingly no one wanted to try an jump the heavily armored woman. After a few moments, she would join back up with Rayne at the front and give the 'All Clear' signal. "Stopped an older man in the back. Poor bastard though he'd have a chance." She laughed in Mando'a. It was a little unorthodox, sure, but she didn't like the idea of Rayne trying to hijack a shuttle all on her own. She would take a position in the back half of the ship, watching for anyone who thought they'd be able to manage the two Mandalorian women.

[John Lex]

Peaceful Nimban, fun they said it would be, exciting trip they said, getting robbed wasn't exactly John's type of fun. As usual before boarding, he had shown his documentation and conceal and carry blaster license stating his job that he was a professional hitman working for their government, which was true. With his claim checked out, he had his A-10 sniper put in cargo, but kept his Guardian holdout blaster in his large coat which covered his vest. Today he wasn't wearing his usual suit, but a big hot coat and long work pants. The take off was alright and the crew were friendly, although the Nimbians who surrounded him were a little chatty. Well one problem was solved when two women suddenly rose out of their seats, brandishing blasters and telling everyone not to move. Being the rule breaker he was, John scratched his arm, and recognized one of the bandits, who he had met several occasions. He continued to be seated and raised his hand. "Um, miss, I have a very important meeting that I have to go to, so if we could get this process done a little faster, that would be great."

Rayne smiled as the mandalorian woman made her way through the cabin taking charge of the situation, her dual pistols drawn, now three blasters were pointed at the captives, meaning any further resistance was unlikely.

Hello beautiful.. Rayne said in Mando'a, there was literally no one she'd rather have searching her back.

Rayne glimpsed over her shoulder, Gizer was within eye shot now. Hopefully she could unload the captives and be done with this as soon as possible. The pilot it seemed was being a very good boy and following her directive.

As @Brianna Saxon was rounding up all the hostages and having them huddle in one small space a hand raised out of a seat near the middle, and a familiar voice came out of the body it belonged to, John? Rayne thought, the man was everywhere, loosening her grip on the girl and directing her to go join the others Rayne walked over to the man's row, It seems we both get out of the house a lot more than we thought.. Rayne said, returning to galatic basic, This shouldn't take long, but you'll have to catch another ride.. Rayne said, she wouldn't leave him on Gizer, but she also wasn't planning on actually going to Myrkr. After we drop off these liabilities, we're heading to Concord Dawn. Rayne informed the man quietly, Obvisously, you'll be exempt from the robbery, that is of course as long as you're not planning on stopping it? Rayne questioned the man, they were friends, but in honesty Raybe didn't know him all that well.

They were about ten or so minutes from landing on Gizer and so far it seemed this mission would be successful.

[Brianna Saxon]

Brianna whirled her guns up to the man who had dared to stand up, and only kept herself from shooting him when Rayne seemed to recognize him. Great, was this a snag now? They had to bus around a third person? She scowled under the helmet and lowered the guns only a small bit; she wasn't sure what this guy was up to. "Wait you know this guy?" She asked, before looking back to 'John'. "What are we going to do with him then? We can't take him back with us." Brianna's tone suggested she was the slightest bit annoyed now. Hopefully this guy wouldn't try anything, if he did well....given Rayne seemed to know him, she'd probably let him live; they weren't here to kill anyone anyways, they just wanted the ship. "I'm fine with dropping him off somewhere else, so long as he doesn't try and get in the way." Brianna would settle for that compromise. Gizar wasn't that far off, so ideally they'd be wrapping this op up soon, assuming 'John' didn't throw a hyrdospanner into the works.

"Oh, yeah just drop me off at the nearest spaceport when convenient. I would never disrupt a proper robbery, i'm all for that actually and to get your little business started i have some credits i can invest to your noble cause. " John watched as her companion appeared and spoke to Rayne in what appeared to their strange Mando language. "Don't worry about me, i'm just passing through just happened to be on the wrong bus i suppose aye? In the meantime, might as well get caught up on the recent events." John lowered his hands, and slowly and carefully took out a holo tablet, turning it on. He anticipated both the robber's reactions by saying, "I can assure you, I have no slight intention of disrupting your very uneven trade, this is just my holo device, if you want it it's yours." John offered them the device, which had already been wiped while John talked.

Rayne looked to @Brianna Saxon, He wont be a problem.. She said, And I don't want your stuff.. Rayne said with a laugh, betraying a friend was not a move she like making. Just sit tight, we're just about done here. Rayne finished as she saw they were breaking atmosphere of Gizer.

The ship touched down in the middle of no where, a city just on the horizon, pushing everyone from the ship Rayne pointed and said, Walk that way.. as she pulled to door closed and hoped in the pilot seat, it would only take a short time to get this ship back out of the atmosphere and on their way.

Hey John, how does Contruum sound? It was just a short jump away and it would let John get back to his own business quicker.

 

[Brianna Saxon]

Seeing as how the situation had be resolved, Brianna set her guns to the side and relaxed, as they began to set the ship down. “Alright, but if he tries anything. I don’t want to hear you getting on my case.” The younger Mandalorian would let Rayne have it her way, but at least ‘John’ wouldn’t be causing a problem. “How exactly do you two know each other any how?” Brianna asked, her gaze directed towards Rayne, as she took a moment to lean on a bulkhead. As Rayne funneled the civilians off the shuttle, a terrified Rodian looked back at her, but nearly fell out the door as Brianna turned the stare. She couldn’t stand these cowards, but it’d be a waste of ammo and honor to kill them; not to mention messy, they’d have to clean it out themselves. “I’m guessing Alcohol was not involved?” Brianna would smirk under that helmet, ignoring the groups of terrified civilians about them. If anything else, this killed time. Wasn't much else to do on the shuttle now with a third person around. Though, if Rayne was going where she claimed, then it'd be over much sooner.

"Alright doable, Contruum sounds nice, haven't been there, but im sure theres lots of people to kill there." John said to Rayne. To Brianna, "Well funny thing, we actually did meet over alcohol, then coincidently we both went for the same bounty another time, we keep bumping into each other."

He wont get in our way, but if he does.. Rayne laughed a bit, take him out.. she finished with a tease. She was sure John wouldn't interfere, but enjoyed teasing him a bit.

After @Brianna Saxon spoke Rayne was quiet for a second, which gave John a chance to respond to her. Rayne took off her helmet, wait a second.. she said walking over to @Brianna Saxon and started guiding the womans helmet off, assuming she allowed her to. Are.. Rayne studdard with a bit of a laugh, Are you jealous? Rayne would say as she pulled the woman by her armor and pressed her lips against hers.

She then pulled back, now biting her lip, you're kinda hot when you're jealous.. she'd say not clarifying anything and turning to head to the cockpit, Contruum was a short jump along the way and they'd need to let John unload his stuff from the storage before they left him there.

 

[Brianna Saxon]

Brianna starting to seem a little annoyed at ‘John’s’ presence, though it was hard to tell with her helmet on. She wasn’t jealous; Mandalorians don’t get jealous, they get even. At least, that’s what she told herself. It was fairly clear that she was getting defensive though. “Oh, I see.” She muttered at John’s response and went silence, crossing her arms. He wasn’t even a Mandalorian, why was he being given this kind of treatment? It didn’t sit well with her. She caught Rayne’s movement out of the corner of her eye, as the woman removed her helmet. What exactly was it about ‘John’ that made her like him? It just wasn’t-

Her thoughts came to a screeching halt as the Rayne moved closer to her. “What?” She stuttered, unsure as to what the woman was doing. She allowed Rayne to remove her helmet, her face would be displaying a look of confusion as it was removed. Though the confusion would change to that of surprise at what Rayne insinuated. “Jealous?” She managed to get out, before being silenced by Rayne’s lips. Much of her discontent was silenced, as her face took on a shade of red. The only thing she could say as Rayne turned away was a quietly muttered. “I’m not jealous…”

“Take me out like trash. And for what the tenth time? I don’t have any intentions whatsoever of interfering with your sketchy operations, I got my own anyways.” John chuckled. He liked Rayne but not in the sort of way he did before. Sure she was cute but after they way he saw her act on that bounty he respected her. John was getting a vibe from the other mando that she was tense and jealous? “Uh pardon me but what exactly are you jeal-“ John watched in curiosity to surprise as Rayne approached her partner and full on kissed her on the lips. Sitting next to John was a boy who stared at the women kissing everyone in the ship stared with wife eyes momentarily forgetting they were in the process of getting robbed. “Aha plot twist. Miss Rayne I do have to say you always surprise me.”

Rayne smiled at John's comment, neither of them could see it, but it still made her smile. a moment later she punched it, the captives had all been let off the ship and it was off, the atmosphere passing by the window a moment later as they left orbit and headed to Contruum. Rayne would allow @Brianna Saxon to handle the "security" of the ship, by keeping an eye on John, maybe in the future when they weren't working they could all get a beer together, Rayne figured she'd eventually have to have a longer conversation with @Brianna Saxon about her and John's friendship, they were more like work partners at this point, having now met on the field more times than not.

After a short while the nav computer indicated Contruum was coming up, assuming they were all alive, Rayne looked back and said, We're here! as she pulled the ship out of hyperspace and the sub-light engines kicked in. The Planet was in the distance, they could drop off John and go home, Make sure you got everything, you wont be able to get it back if you leave it on the bus.. Rayne said.

 

[Brianna Saxon]

Brianna had retreated from the passengers area to the co-pilots chair, sitting across from Rayne. She was still processing what had just happened, and the last thing she wanted to do was show John her face. Was she embarrassed? Certainly so. Being caught venerable like that in front of so many people had her burning with shame internally. Rayne had certainly meant it as a playful way to make her lighten up, but the younger Mandalorian felt humiliated. She sat quietly, her gaze looking out the view screen as the blue tunnel of hyperspace engulfed them. Rayne and John might not have been partners in that sense, but she couldn't help the way it made her feel.

She didn't like the man. Perhaps it had to do with Rayne being so close at hand, but it was more than that. There had to be right? Yea, she was young and brash at times, but she had a right to feel this way, didn't she? It had to be more than just simple jealousy. Not that she was jealous or anything.

Rayne pulled the ship out of hyperspace, and broke the atmosphere of Contruum, John?, this is your stop.. She called back. Once she landed the beast she'd walk back into the cabin, ignoring @Brianna Saxon's mood for a moment as she said bye to @John Lex. Make sure you got your stuff.. You're not gonna see this ship again... Rayne laughed.

Hey John.. Don't get yourself killed, and if you ever feel like getting your butt kicked, just give me a call.. Rayne said.

Once they were back in the air, Rayne would poke @Brianna Saxon in the side with her fist, Hey... She said, trying to break the silence.

 

[John Lex]

John got out of his seat and stretched. He walked towards the exit and said, "I look forward to seeing you again, and you too, Miss Saxon." John grinned as he left the ship. He had gathered intel on the mysterious passenger. He silently smiled, he knew there was going to be a robbery on the ship and committed by the two. His employer had told him to go as backup should any interference occur. Apparently his client had a thing with mandolorians. It didn't matter he was getting paid to see a old friend.

Brianna jumped up as Rayne poked a particularly sensitive spot on her side, though she suppressed the verbal cue that often accompanied it; thank the force for the armor, hopefully Rayne didn't suspect anything. She blinked in rapid succession as she was knocked out of her thoughts. "Yea?" She replied, though she was jostled by the sudden contact. John had apperently left the two alone, and they were well on their way out of the sector. If there was a time to air out the things going on between them, this was the time.

Rayne's surprise at @Brianna Saxon's surprise cause her to jump a bit as well, and her heart dumped a quick hit of adrenaline throughout her system, Kad.. Rayne said taking a deep breath, she hadn't expected the light tap to surprise the girl.

You look like you got something on your mind.. She said, they were only a short trip from Concord Dawn, and Rayne's home, so they needed to get the conversation going before they landed and had more work to do sorting stolen goods, was she really jealous? All he'd even done was mention knowing Rayne, whatever was about to happen, Rayne was sure she wasn't prepared for it.

Brianna exhaled and bit her lip. "Sorry." She said, readjusting herself in the chair. She wasn't sure what there was to say. She cast her gaze on Rayne and sighed. "Yea, I do. Just...not sure how to say it." She leaned back in the chair and tapped her chin. "I just....didn't like seeing you talking with John. It just....it didn't feel right. Like....I...." Brianna stopped and shook her head. "I don't know. It just bothered me. I...felt like I had to fight to get your attention." Brianna's gaze dropped down now, as she was staring at her mothers helmet. She really wasn't good at the 'feelings' sort of thing. She wasn't sure how to really say it. It was like watching someone try and take your favorite blaster rifle right in front of you. You try to tell yourself they aren't going to steal it, that it'll steal be yours, but you still felt angry when they were handling it. But Bri couldn't bring herself to say that, she couldn't admit she was being selfish. Especially not in this manner. "I just...don't know how to say it..." She was repeating herself now, her eyes continuing to stare down at her helmet. Real smooth Bri.

Rayne was smiling, but kept silent as @Brianna Saxon fumbled over herself, trying to explain. It was adorable, and if anything described that @Brianna Saxon actually had feelings for her, which was very nice to see, it had probably been a very long while since anyone had really cared about Rayne in this way, sure her Clan didn't want her to die, mostly just cause they'd lose an operative, and Mandalore as a whole would probably prefer she stay alive as well for the same reason, but having someone who wanted more than just for her to stay alive so she could keep paying taxes was very nice.

Rayne took Bri's hand in her own as she flew one handed. John's a good friend, and he's had my back through a lot.. Rayne started to explain, he's a good man... but that's just it.. he's a man.. Rayne said with a smile, sure she'd had some bedding time with males of select species, but she really preferred females, of just about every species.. She didn't blame Bri, after all they hadn't really had these conversations yet.
