Bruce listened closely without another word. When Aliyah decreed her intention he would likely disagree but he would not be discussing that at the moment. That was more of a private matter and would be addressed, more than likely. Though disrespectful as he may be, Bruce would admit to himself that Leto's reaction was proper... he might have gotten carried away, he sometimes talked a bunch.

After Aliyah laid down her lightsabers and Vollen made his statements and declaration, Bruce choose to chime in. He stepped forward and collected the lightsaber hilts before presenting them to the young twi'lek yet again. He'd keep it short this time. "Aliyah Phoenix (@Autumn's Firefly), take your hilts young lady." He was almost carrying about of a father-like sternness, "To lay them down is to give up. This is not what you want and I know you're capable of more then simply slaying. You are a Jedi and we need your blades, accept them - by your request we will look within, but as of now, there is no malice in you. Your death will not be served this day, you are a Jedi. Remember our discussion." Bruce spoke low in which he and her could talk, it wasn't necessary for the entire conclave to hear it. "Phoenix." he concluded flatly.

The Caretaker looked up and now address the conclave, as he returned to his seat, but as he promised himself - no big speech. "Jubba (@Xorism), that is a fantastic plan. Seek out friends we can work with - all has not abandoned us. I trust you to make those decisions."

"Azar, (@Phoenix) speaks true. We are dwindling and we mustn't allow it to finalize. Your statements about the start of this war will be looked into, and we thank you for bringing that to our attention and we will most certainly explore it the best we can - we do not doubt your claims, this is why we take it seriously; in addition we will also look into the Chancellor and what transpired for him to make this decision - confirm our suspicions. If anyone has information now and going forward, please bring it to us as we investigate further.

As Lucian (@Nefieslab) and Azar both mentioned we must change our way of fighting. A direct attack is not possible and I urge you all to understand that. As I said before and as Master Shai (@Nightfall096) has stated. Look to our homes and our borders; please undertake your missions and build our forces, reinforce what we have. That is the best we can do and that is what the Council has decided as the best course of action."

Bruce offered a smile oddly enough, a means of comfort really. It would be Master Shai who would have to conclude these proceedings but the Caretaker wanted one last moment; a generalized moment actually.

"Thank you all for coming. May the Force guide us through these darker days."

But she hadn't given up. She'd just placed herself at the mercy of the entire Jedi Order, dropping her force defenses and fully willing to let them kill her. She wanted to know... she had to know whether one of them would actually do it. And if they did, she'd slam into their hypocrisy like a freight train moving at hundreds of miles per hour. It was time to get through this, once and for all, no matter the cost to herself. "Masters. I am not giving up. And I will never give up, not now, not in a thousand years from now. I know this is the right path to take, I can feel it, and I'm surrendering myself to the Force and your judgement so you can see that. Guerilla tactics are perfect, and taking the fight head on is suicide, I know, but it's something...

It's something I feel I have to do. Don't worry, Bruce. There are more of us where I came from. There will always be another Phoenix in the Order. My sister has accepted her new name, and so has my child. We will not leave this Galaxy in darkness.

I feel a calling to them, something I just can't shake. I will meet Kravos. And when that day comes... I know what I have to do. I will beat him. And I hope that he lets me take him here unharmed, but I know in my heart he won't..."
She stopped. Inhaling, she grabbed her weapons off the ground as Bruce told her to. She didn't bring her force defenses back up at all. "But that doesn't matter now. You're correct, this is the path to take. I hope you consider what I have said regardless."

Numerous discussions with Kit had given Leto a slowly growing impression that he wasn't the ideal Jedi, that there was still much for him to learn. But being here was making him reconsider all that.

"I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Did you expect us to kill you?" He was genuinely confused by Aliyah's words, because it seemed like she had ignored everything that people had said to her and really misinterpreted the reason. "You might be speaking like a Sith, aspiring to do things a Sith would be proud of, but you really aren't anywhere close to being a Sith." He was just being blunt now and speaking things as they were. No more sarcasm, no more dancing around the point, because this was getting weird.

"And just so you know, even if you were a Sith no one here would cut you down. We're Jedi, not savages. Besides, it's way more fun important to talk about this, because there's a question I really need to ask of you. Is Kravos the father of this child you speak off?." He heard the confused exclamations in response to that, a few heads turning towards him to confirm they had heard him right. "You seem really obsessed with him, and you know what they say about women scorned."

"Enough." Councilor Shivaaga hissed with finality through his rebreather.

He'd been content to sit back and listen to what the assembled Knights and Masters had to say, and to let the newer Councilors handle things, but this was starting to get out of hand. These Conclaves were typically rambunctious affairs, but he'd had greater hopes for this one. It appeared that no matter how often he repeated himself though, brevity would never be considered a virtue in the current Order. It wasn't a total waste. The Council had discussed several courses of action, and it was good to hear some of them echoed independently by experienced and more sensible Jedi. It was time to wrap things up though, before they had a brawl here in the chamber.

"I think we've heard all we need to out of both of you," Rem rasped, admonished Knights Antiles and Phoenix. The former was a disruptive dingus, and the latter was long winded and had even more flair for dramatics than even Knight Kane. Turning his eyes from those two, he scanned the crowd with a piercing bloodshot gaze- a permanent feature now due to his wounds.

"Councilor Guleya has given us a path to follow... It has many branches, and will demand much of most of you... Further instructions from the Council will follow soon... but, do not let that keep you from being proactive... Avoid Republic space, look out for yourselves, and look out for eachother."

He wheezed and coughed, and took a moment to collect himself before concluding.

"You're all dismissed. Force be with you."
