A Cut Above the Rest (Elijha only)

Deep within the forests of Naboo, a tall, menacing man with bronzed shoulders and large chiseled muscles waited impatiently for the newest rag-tag band of warriors. One among them was Elijah, a man rumored to be worthy enough to become a warrior to the Dryw just as Ry was.

Unlike with Buan, the warrior was not accompanied by the Elder. He knew more than anyone else who was worthy to watch the back of the Elder's apprentice. Knowing the Elder's ways and decisions could not be questioned, he still sought to try the boy out on his own before he took the test of the warriors. Even if he was special in the eyes of the Elder, he needed to learn that he, Ry, was the superior one.

Elijah walked calmly through the forrest. He was running slightly behind schedule though this time it wasn't actually planned. He had been too absorbed in one of his books and hadn't been paying attention to the sun in the sky. This knowledge however for some odd reason didn't compel his feet to move faster or for him to actually look up and take his hands out of his pocket. Quickly stepping over and jumping off a fallen trunk he looked up and found himself in the small clearing where he saw the muscle rippled man.

"Uhm, hello...?"

Ry waited until the man came closer and he threw down his stick, coming for the new recruit with murder in his eyes. It was time to test the grit of this man and see if he truly was as gifted as the Elder had believed him to be. Rushing him, he reared back his right fist and slammed it forward with deadly force toward the man, aiming for his nose.

If Elijha was expecting anything from this encounter he had not expected this. The man had brought his fist back and that could invariably be the move that got Elijha time to move. His hands were in his pocket and all he could think of doing was falling backwards. The ground's soil was slightyl moist and cushioned with some leaves, still he had to arch his backso he kept moving backwards. During the fall Elijha had brought out his hands and now used them to brace some of the pressure off his neck and to srping him off the ground and onto his feet.

That had been pure instinct and his brain was now completely up to speed so he could think. Elijah brought back his fist but then came forward with his right leg aiming for Ry's left side. He hoped to catch the man with his knee and atleast had to come forward a little more to do so. This forward motion put a little more force behind his attack but also brought the smaller man into swinging range of his opponent.

The momentum with which Ry had been coming for the man couldn't be stopped as he swung at dead air, a cry of rage escaping his throat at missing his intended target. His reflexes were good, so far.

Whirling around as the man sprung to his feet, Ry felt the next move through the Bua and reached out, grasping the man's leg, muscles bulging as he stopped his momentum. He then kicked out, hard at his knee, wanting to make him eat dirt again.

Elijha was surprised when he was stopped in almost middair. He didn't have time to react to the man's assault on his knee. The blow hit with a serious force and Elijha didn't have time to catch himself so his face ended up smashing into the soft soil. Instead of laying their dazed, he rolled around and aimed a quick boot stomp into his opponents gut.

The boot made contact with Ry's gut, but it only caused him to stagger back a little, buying the smaller man just a little bit of time. Ry roared with frustration as he came for the man again, ready to grab his leg should he decide to kick out again. If not, he was ready to reach out and grab the man, pulling him up and slam him against a tree trunk.

Elijah went low and aimed a right hook at Ry's gut. This would hopefully knock the wind out of the larger man, though if his opponent was quick enough he'd get another beatdown like he had before.

OOC: That's supposed to be a k. I notice the k isn't relatively close to the why so I admit I have f'ed up.

OOC: LOL! I thought that was what you meant, but I wanted to make sure before I responded.

As the punch connected with the larger man's stomach, his breath was knocked out, causing him to fall upon the younger man. His hands made their way toward Elijah's throat, pushing in on his airway, as he tried to fill his lungs with air again.

His airway cut off Elijha fuitly tried to pry off the man's hand but his opponents wrists were like iron. Ry was somewhat situated on his upper body so Elijha could amneuver his flexible frame somewhat. He put his legs into the air and brought his right boot on a path to the back of Ry's skull. Hopefully this would daze the man.

OOC: I'm confused here...lol. Aren't you still on the ground?

OOC: Damn, am I that bad? Yes, I am on the ground but I assumed that Ry was sitting on Elijah's chest choking him with one hand. I was going to use Elijah's limberness to kick Ry from behind and in the back of the head. If ry is just close to the groun and not on me then I believe I can still swing my legs up to kick him in the face. Sorry, as you know words escape me at times or I'm just trying to convey to complex of actions.

The foot connected with Ry's skull, causing him to loosen his grip only slightly as he shook his head. It seemed the man was of tougher stuff than the boy first believed.

"You're weak," he said through clenched teeth. "You are not worthy to protect the Dryw. The Elder is wrong in this," he said, hoping to get a rise out of the man and push him to call upon his reserve strength.

Elijha's eyes flared as the man on top of him spoke. He was not useless and he was sure as hell going to knock that ugly face from his vision. Balling up his fist andyelling he aimed a right hook towards his opponent's nose. This would surely hurt if it connected as it would probably break his nose or jaw if it landed. Elijha also noticed that his peripheral vison was starting to cloud up due to the lack of oxygen.
