A Dark Young Man(Venom's Training)

[Mars]

Aiden sat on the floor of the Bogan temple on Ando Prime. He was awaiting a new apprentice. He did not know much but he would learn more shortly. His shoulder was sore from a sparring session with Master Mirrik, one which he lost yet again. He was improving though, this acolyte would be much better off than any previous ones he had trained. Soon Aiden would be an Assassian and the fear of all Jedi.

Through the force Aiden held up a few small metal balls around him, training his stamina to see how long he could hold the dense little objects.

 

[Venom]

It would seem that Venom's search would lead him to the planet Ando Prime, where he would receive training by one of the Dark Jedi. He hoped that the one who was training him would be someone that he could easily get along with.

Venom was wearing some dark robes that he had been given upon arrival. He didn't have much of anything else with him, and he hoped that that wouldn't be too much of a problem.

He walked into the training room that he had been assigned to, and saw a dark jedi doing some sort of exercise in their already.

"Hello there, I'm Venom, you?" He greeted the man, hoping that he didn't end up disturbing him.

 

[Mars]

Aiden stood and cracked his neck. He released the flow of the force and the weight of the four balls was made aparent by their smack as they hit the floor. He cracked his neck and turned to face his new apprentice. His armour was on but it was light and few would notice it under his robes anyway. The first thing the young man would probably notice was the black headband that lay across where his eyes would be. That may need explaining later...

"My name is Aiden, and I will be your trainer from acolyte untill you become a Crusader like I am. Come let us sit down." Aiden said slowly.

 

[Venom]

"Good to meet you Aiden, thank you for taking the time to train me." He nodded to him after saying that as he watched the metal balls fall to the ground. He was impressed by the weight of them.

He noticed the black band around Aiden's eyes. But he chose not to say something. He didn't know if it was part of the training, or what the guy had been doing earlier. But if he was supposed to know Aiden would probably tell him.

He moved to sit down beside Aiden, wondering what they would do first.

 

[Mars]

Aiden sat down and gestured towards the headband.

"I am a Miraluka, therefore, I have no eyes and see entirely through the force." Aiden said. "Now, I know nothing about you at all so, I'd like you to explain some of your history to me."

 

[Venom]

Well, that explains the headband. Venom thought to himself as he wondered how seeing through the force would work. He had never heard of something like that before.

"There isn't really much to tell about me. I grew up on Coruscant, had to live by myself for a few years after a falling out with my parents, and now I am here."

He put his hand through his hair before continuing. He didn't have too much to say about his history, but it didn't really seem that Aiden had either.

"I'm hoping that my time working with the Bogan will make it so there is a lot more for me to say when someone asks me that question."

 

[Mars]

Aiden stood from his sitting position and began to stretch his legs out some.
"That was a good answer acolyte. How did you find out you were force sensitive?" Aiden asked.

As he was stretching his robes shifted and his ornate curved hilt lightsaber flashed in front of Venom. It wasn't really intentional nor was it a big deal. The blizzard began to brew outside and they would be going upstairs in a few minutes to see if he could fight with a blade.

 

[Venom]

Venom blinked twice and slid back an inch when the lightsaber blade activated in front of him. He tried to make it as unnoticeable as possible.

It wasn't that he didn't trust Aiden, it was simply that a blade of plasma that cuts straight through flesh and bone wasn't the best thing to have almost at a connecting point on you.

"A Jedi told me that I was force sensitive... but he also said that I wasnt fit to be trained in the force. He said that I had an... improper personality to be trained in the force. He said that I was too angry, and too... I don't know, quick to action to be a good jedi."

Venom was a little bit angry just thinking about the Jedi, and he was looking forward to finishing his training, and maybe being able to get back at the Jedi.

"Also, I've also been very lucky, and have always had some premonitions about upcoming situations."

 

[Mars]

Aiden felt his students unease when his lightsaber quickly lit and deactivated. He chuckled a bit.

"Ah the Jedi. How so many Bogan get their start. It is funny how many of our rank were turned away and now exceed the power of those fools. Not me, I was a bounty hunter before I came here. Well I was, briefly, but that is another story." Aiden said slowly.

"Now. Have you any experince with a sword or hell, even a lightsaber?" Aiden asked.

This was an important part of training and Aiden's favorite before their final duel at the end where he would test the new acolyte to the limits of his power.

 

[Venom]

A bounty hunter? Venom thought that seemed like it would be a pretty easy job if you were force sensitive.

Venom frowned before responding to the next part. "No, I haven't had any experience with a blade as of yet. I have done some hand to hand combat, and I have a bit of experience with a blaster, but that is pretty much it. I haven't had much use for a sword really."

He hoped that that wouldn't be too much of a problem. He was usually a pretty fast learner, and would hopefully be able to catch on to lightsaber combat quickly.

 

[Mars]

Aiden finished stretching out his arms and laughed.

"Oh boy." He said. "Come, follow me upstairs, and outside. I'll give you a vidroblade that was dulled a bit when we get up there. Your goal is to hit me and leave a mark or draw blood. Understood?" Aiden said.

He began walking, out the door and down the hall. His student had about five minutes to ask questions before they got to the stairs.

 

[Venom]

(Sorry for taking so long)

"Yeah, I think that will be manageable."

Regardless of being dulled, a vibroblade still seemed pretty damned dangerous to Venom. Since they still, you know, vibrated at sonic speeds to increase cutting ability. Oh well, he was going to be the one swinging it, not the other way around.

He followed Aiden down the hall, he didn't really have any questions. He was only eager to get into his training.

 

[Mars]

Eventually, they reached the stairs and climbed them to the roof. It was covered with snow and there was a few acolytes and crusaders praticing saber work or meditating.

Aiden stood at about the center of the roof and drew his own Vidroblade. He cracked his neck, assumed his stance and performed the Makashi salute. Aiden was on the "line" that all the Form II users fought and recent training improved his ability to keep it without it being a hinderence to fighting.

"Begin." He said loudly to his acolyte.

 

[Venom]

Hnh Venom thought to himself as he felt the weight of the vibroblade in his hand. He tested the balance of it, then put the blade so that it was resting at his side. His breath condensed when he blew it from his mouth. It was pretty cold out here, and he hoped that that wouldn't interfere with his ability to fight.

He slowly closed the distance between the two of them before bringing up the blade. He pointed it at Aiden, and a flake of snow landed precisely on the tip. This made him laugh for a second, and then he charged. He let the blade touch the snow for a moment, then brought it up in a diagonal slash to the left.

He had never been in a sword fight before, now it was time to see what he could do.

 

[Mars]

Aiden stepped back, out of the way of the slashing vidroblade. He had to keep in mind the student had no prior experience with a blade and he would have to be patient.

As he avoided the blade Aiden aimed a punch with his left hand towards his students nose. He was a southpaw and was stronger in hand to hand with his left hand. The punch moved quickly and would act much like a very stiff jab. His student would be able to block it though, if he had some very fast reflexes.

 

[Venom]

The moment that Aiden had jumped backwards from the slash, Venom used the momentum both from the failed slash, and from the charging motion to put himself into a slide tackle. While he didn't have any experience at sword fighting, he had spent quite a bit of time doing hand to hand combat, and physical training.

The front of Venom's foot connecting with the bones of Aiden's shin would probably hurt a good deal if it connected. Or, it would have the effect that Venom was hoping for, and that was to trip Aiden.

The slide tackle put Venom just below his master's fist. It wasn't a planned dodge, but it would work just as well.

 

[Mars]

Aiden leaned into the slide tackle and pushed most of his weight onto his lead leg to abosrb the impact. It hurt, yeah, and he was a little off balance now but he could have been much worse.

He stood over his acoylte now and his left hand went over his head. It came straight back like all punches should and he swung downward with the blade that sat in his right hand from his stance over the student. It was a relatively hard strike and would hurt pretty badly if it had landed.

 

[Venom]

Venom, more by luck than any sort of skill of his own, had his own blade at an angle when Aiden's came down upon him. This caused Aidens blade to quickly slide down Venom's sword. Venom took advantage of the moment and quickly rolled backwards. He knew that landing a hit on Aiden would be quite difficult, but he was at least going to try his best to make sure that he wasn't hit very much in the process.

 

[Mars]

Aiden flashed forward this time using a flurry of very fast attacks. Normally Aiden was fast as it is but this time he used the Force to enhance his speed. An over-hand right slash followed by a centerline stab and more slashing attacks.

This flurry was meant to overwhelm an opponent and if the Acolyte managed to come out unharmed it would be rather impressive.
