A continuation of A faint lead

Arikka watched the girl's movements, taking note of every small movement from the frown to the way her feet were positioned. A lot could be tell from just inspecting one's movements. Perhaps the same could be said about Arikka, where not even a bit of the cold was appearing to affect her physically, beyond the red cheeks on her face. "I am quite alright, I'll be fine in the cold for a while longer, unless you wish to seek warmth." The Knight was not quite certain what drove Kassa to take home in this barren land, but she did not want to question it too far.

She began to follow Kassa as they went towards the hut. It only took a peer in the direction of the tauntaun for it to know to come. Arikka had a strong connection with nature, and animals in particular. Being around them all her life, and subconsciously using the Force to befriend them, it had almost become a second nature to communicate with them. The white Tauntaun snarled before pacing itself towards it's temporary owner. Once it was walking along side them, and Arikka had taken the reins of it, she began to disclose her intentions; "I had heard a faint rumor about someone training in the wilderness of Mygeeto, and I thought it would be worthwhile to investigate, she said, using one of her other hands to rub the tauntaun behind it's ear. It murmured a happy noise as Arikka continued to speak, "I am Arikka-Mar, Jedi Knight. Through the power of the Force, I was able to locate you on this planet." She stopped once they reached the building, where she gestured for the tauntaun to go, not even bothering to tie it in place. "I'm afraid I don't know your name though, or really, much about you at all." She smiled to the girl, hoping that she was not being overbearing.

When the woman began to speak, Kassa frowned ever so slightly. "I know of the Jedi. My Elders taught me of your philosophy when I was growing up... Due to my Force Sensitivity." There was no point in hiding it, the woman already knew, that much was obvious. "My name is Kassa Sahl, Ember Firedancer and Warrior of the Echani, my people." When she said this, the young woman inclined her head, halting with her as they stopped outside of the hut. "Whatever else you wish to know I shall tell you, on my Honour." There was no use in lying, for that would be disregarding so much that she stood for.

Not wanting to seem rude for keeping her outside all the same, the young girl led the woman into the hut, noting how effortless it was for her to convince the Tauntaun to follow, without use of the reins. Frowning she kept her curiosity under strict lock and key, carrying on as though she hadn't noticed it. Once inside she moved to make a cup of piping hot tea for the traveller. "Please, sit," she instructed of the Jedi. Only having one cup she saw that it was used for her guest, rather than herself, and settled it down onto the table. Besides, I've already had one cup today, two is my absolute maximum... And I'd quite like one before bed. It got even colder at night, and it was just what she needed to settle and feel warm before sleeping.

In her peripheral vision, the Knight saw the motion that Kassa had begun. It was a motion that she's seen so often in her life, but yet she was surprised when the young Echani bowed her head. Arikka turned her body to face the redheaded girl and produced the same gesture, not wishing to offend her. It was odd, she had always bowed, but perhaps it was the wilderness that caused her to temporarily abandon her manners. It was not a mistake that she planned to do again.

Despite her heritage, genetics, and upbringing, the Codru-Ji maintained a facade that she was completely unaffected by the weather. Through the power of the Force, and the usage of Tapas, the cold weather did not have a great affect on her. "So Miss Sahl," Arikka said as she sat herself down on the seat, "You said you were an 'Ember Firedancer'? I am aware of the Echani, but not so much of their traditions. I would be honored if you would indulge me on it." She smiled to the girl, finally taking the opportunity to remove the hood which partially cloaked her head. Despite the cold, her face still maintained the warm embrace.
