It has been around a month since The Lucent has been taken for the Alliance, repairs were well underway and the station was looking less and less like the cesspit it previously was with every passing day. The smell of the previous owners had long since vanished and a fresh lick of paint on every wall was making the entire place look clean and tidy. Freyja was stood in her main quarters, a large table before her, its surface covered with holo-screens covering everything from the station supply status, personnel records for The Valkyries and general orders from the Alliance High Command.

Commander Ion had only left a few days earlier from the station and the Alien's visit had put Freyja in a bad mood ever since she needed a way to let off some steam and not in the manner the Jedi was preaching to her. She needed to hit something and hit it hard, she hoped something from High Command came along soon otherwise she might start fighting the next alien she saw.

Tycho has no idea why Freyja had called for him. He was busy at work helping with repairs that needed to be done in the lower levels. In between missions and helping run the place the man is in all honesty exhausted. The annoying wheezing sound from his lungs may be barely heard by anyone near him, but it all the same annoyed the criminal. How he wished he could get the wheezing to stop because the last thing he needs or wants is to be kicked out. It is not because his health is poor, but something that happens when the man is exhausted. Ever since he had that childhood illness the wheezing happens here and there, usually when he is exhausted.

Freyja's assistant opened the door to the Valkyrie commander's quarters. Then gestured for the man to head inside. Taking a deep breath Tycho entered the room, this time not bothering with pleasantries or formalities, "You sent for me?" He will ask, looking over the hologram wondering if something on there is the reason for him being summoned.

Before Freya could even answer, a loud boom rattled the station. Metal ached, alarms blared, several worried shouts followed. Neither of them could have any idea what it was, but they would soon enough. The Lucent was not experiencing malfunctions, a blown generator or an accidental hull breach. Rather, it was purposeful. After crashing through one of the docking rings of the orbital space station, now drilled into its side, a boarding ship unleashed a band of marauders. Armed, armored, experienced. They charged inside and immediately began to sweep through the station. Behind them, through the smoke and flame, none other than Captain Ironwolf, one of the most infamous pirates in the sector, stepped forward.

Light repeater slung over her shoulder, decked in heavy Brutus Assault armor with gription-boots, and several frag grenades on the waist, Ironwolf was more than ready for a fight. She had little clue about the residents onboard but she neither cared. The station was out in the middle of space, barely defended, and ripe for the taking. Whoever was living inside, be it gangsters or another pirate clan or the so-called rebel movement who had been encroaching in her territory for the past year, they would stand at the mercy of the pirates. Tempting as it would be to massacre everyone on the station, she preferred to take on new folk. Slaves, mechanics, or expanding her crew. So many options, not enough bodies. Until now.

One rebel technician hiding behind some rubble suddenly charged toward Ironwolf. With a shattered pole in his hand, they aimed to smack her aside her head. The pirate saw it coming from a mile away but decided to feed the fool a sense of hope. The pole slammed into her helmet, and instead, shattered against it. No effect, no damage. All it was left was a smug pirate and a stunned rebel. With a spin, Ironwolf revealed a stun baton and smashed against the man’s face. Blood spilled from his mouth as he hit the ground cold. One out of the few pirates accompanying her dragged the man aside. “Oh, how I’ve missed this.

Freyja grabbed hold of the holo-table as the explosion rocked the station's frame. "What the Frak." She shouted as she steadied herself, the lights in her room and throughout the station and sirens began to blare through the speakers in every common room and corridor. "Captain, we are under attack." One of the men in the command centre a few levels above them called through the comm to her room. Freyja looked up at Tycho who had only just entered her room, giving him a stiff nod, she moved over to one of the cabinets in the room which carried her weapons and gear. Strapping the utility belt and blaster to her right leg, slinging the vibrosword over her left shoulder and the rifle over the right. She hoped Tycho had his own stuff on him or near before they headed out to confront this new enemy. If not there was a spare rifle and a few grenades in the cabinet.

"Ready?" She asked once she was fully equipped. "You take point, you are good at that." She said with a smile, before pulling the rifle from her shoulder and pulling it up to her shoulder ready to go.

Tycho dropped to a single knee as the station shook violently. It was a bad enough shake that if he didn't drop to the kneeled position that he would have lost his balance. He was not close enough to the table to lean against it. For sure though there is no way that they were struck by some space object like a comet or asteroid. This was something more sinister. Well he didn't need to hear what the man said through the comms to know they are being attacked, "I think we have already figured out we are being attacked." Tycho said as he got back to his feet.

Whether out of making it a habit to be ready or being paranoid, Tycho was already in his battle armor. But his gear is in his quarters down the hallway. So he will have to stop there to get his weapons. Minus his pistol that is currently in its holster on his left hip. The criminal unholstered his pistol, holding it in his right hand as he armed it, "My rifle is in my quarters a few doors down. Other than that I am ready." He will tell her. The rogue chuckled, "Great. Then let's go give them a warm welcome." He will say as the man took the lead. There was no way that the enemy had gotten down two levels, though he will keep his blaster pistol raised just in case.

As soon as the two rebels were out of the Valkyrie Commander's quarters the Criminal will dash down the hall to his quarters. Slamming his fist on the control panel he waited for the door to be open just enough for him to squeeze through. Since the room was neat, clean and organized it took only a few seconds for the man to get his vibro sword and favorite rifle. Holstering his pistol the man attatched the vibrosword sheath to a slot at the back of his armor. He will then arm his rifle, a fresh cartridge already in and ready, "Alright. Now I am really ready to knock down some intruders." He will say. Figuring that they are better off taking the stairs, the man will lead the way to the stairwell.

As Tycho and Frejya descended down the stairwell, the marauders would continue to wreck havoc throughout the base. More technicians and rebels were plucked from their stations, forced into cuffs or chains or thrown about like playthings. They were no longer members of the Alliance, of the Valkyries or even remotely human. They were now slaves. Men and women impressed and forced to serve under Ironwolf and her company of pirates. What could the Alliance do? Nothing. So far, they did nothing.

There was resistance. Several guards and armed civilians made a number of attempts to rush the attackers but to no avail. They were either shot dead, threatened into submission or surrounded, cornered and imprisoned with the rest. So far, Ironwolf’s gang already squeezed a hefty sum of credits and valuables from the station and its residents. Rippled from necks, out of pockets, from chests or drawers or lockers. Even the restaurant was ransacked. Mead, whiskey and gin flowed from barrels and into the mouths of welcome pirates or onto the floor. Again, the rebels could do little to stop it.

However, Ironwolf knew there would be more coming. The station was small but there were far more levels and floors than the one she now stood in. Assuming the superiors of the station would be either at the lowest level or at the peak, the pirate lord decided to remain and wait for them to come to her. Better than to split away and search. And once they were certain the battle was over, they would finish looting the station and leave. Then again, Ironwolf found the base rather cozy. Maybe she would settle in, turn it into a new foundation of her makeshift pirate empire.

Meanwhile, in the stairwell, two pirates waited at the doors. When they realized the pair of rebels coming close, they quickly moved to surprise them. At point blank range, a shot would kill immediately, but aiming would prove difficult. Of course, the pirates didn’t have to aim. Each held their vibroblade, and by catching the rebels off guard, aimed to impale them as they rounded the corner of the stairwell.
