A gentle ride through space

((I was just planning on that XD what good is testing a fighter, without testing it's weapons, I am not good with planning a thread for the long term XD never mind a story arc, i'll leave that to somebody better than me))

"Hey she flies just fine..it's just a little sluggish, give me a hour or so and my fighter would be able to shoot, fly or take punishment just as well any other fighter maybe even better hell I could tinker with your fighter and make it better than it is already"Jaz said before he noticed on the scanners two blips behind him, tilting his craft to get a better ook he noticed two X-wings flying high on their right.

"Contacts,right side, high" Jaz said before looking over at his console infront of him putting equalizing the power between his systems and allowed his weapons to power up incase they became hostile, of course before he could ask the newcomers their intentions they opened fire as soon as they were in range of the duo

"Break right..you lead and i'll follow..I'm better as a wingman than flight lead"and with that he dove to the right to force his enemy to overshoot allowing Jaz time to reform behind and to the right of Jake

"...Don't call my name in a fight...use a code name like..."Jaz spoke as he wracked his mind to think of what would be the best for him..when he realised that his old Galactic Alliance codename was probably the best

"Call me Mynock 4"

Jake thought about the offer but before he could think of a response 2 old model X wings rocked up flying straight for them at military speed, There S foils in attack position.

"you it Mynock 4"

Jake put is owns foils in to attack positions and moved to try and force a head on pass. At max rang the 2 X wings opened fire before each broke of in a different direction.

"watch my 6"

With that Jake sped of after one of the X wings trying to close in on him to insure a hit.

As Jaz quickly followed Jake as he went after one of the X-wings, staying behind the kid incase the other fighter moved behind Jake..which was just what happened, it was clear that target fixation was in motion as the two of them clearly forgot the fact that Jaz was behind, so when the second fighter came up behind Jake, Jaz simply moved before the X-wing and squeezed the trigger spitting the ARC's weapons at the target infront of him it's shields flashing and the pilot quickly banking left and instead of chasing after it Jaz quickly moved back behind Jake and waited until he needed help once again.

"..." well that was interesting, what began as a small test run for his fighter became into a race with Jake and then dogfighting against two unknown affiliated X-wings

Jake trusted that Jazz would keep keep any one of his tail. So he focused on the X wing ahead of him. Once he was at his wepaons effective range Jake opened up. The Rouge light lassers firing at a high rate. The X wing went in to a inverted dive witch Jake followed. The lassers nipping at the X wings shield. The X wing it seemed was trying to make a break for the astroid field.

Jaz watched as Jake poured laser fire on the remaining X-wing infront of the duo however Jaz on the otherhand was also keeping a eye out on the other fighter that had banked off to the left, and was now coming behind Jaz instead of the last time now this time it was Jaz's turn to avoid the hail of laser fire directed at himself, darting down he started to cut power to his engine to force the xwing to overshoot..however unike the first time the two x-wings dove at Jaz and Jake where they overshot, this time the pilot didn't fall for it and was sticking behind Jaz.

"Got a contact behind me" Jaz said as he kept swerving his fighter so the Xwing couldn't get a lock on him to shoot accurately and it seemed as though the fighter Jake was chasing was heading into the asteroid field..and the question was...were they good enough to fly through the field whilst in a dogfight?

The fighter Jake was following weaved through the asteroid field. Chunks of rocks bouncing of it's hull as Jake's lasers hit the asteroids around it. Hearing how Jazz was under attack Jack pulled a high G turn and flew straight at Jazz. "break left" with out waiting Jake opened up with his lasers.

"Tsk"looking at his monitors he could tell that his shields were taking a battering from the xwing that was chasing him of course because of Jaz's swerving a lot of the lasers were missing but the fact that he had only just got the starfighter some time ago, and was already in a dogfight annoyed the man since now he would have to check for any dam-

"Ah kriff it"looking at his left side he noticed a hole were a lucky laser shot managed to hit his craft..great repairs oh joy it's not like he could halt the dogfight just so he could fix his craft then start the dogfight from scratch again..life was so unfair at times..even more so after the battle of klatooine sleepless nights filled with nightmares weren't useful to anybody

"Roger"Jaz said in response to what Jake had told the man to do, so banking left he watched as Jake's starfighter zoomed by heading straight for the xwing chasing Jaz..and who probably wasn't expecting what was happening to happen, and while that was happening Jaz chased after Jake's original target and carried on shooting at that person

The X wing was taken by surprise, The closing speed meant that Jake did not have much time on target but the Rapid firing lasers did not need time to cause massive damage.

Glancing down at his scanners he had noticed that one of the hostile blips vanished off his screen, what what exactly happened he wasn't too sure, as his scanners probably weren't working as effectively or reliable until he was out of the asteroid field..which he would soon be out of once he destroyed the X-wing infront of him.

".."common...and there" squeezing the trigger Jaz watched s his ARC-360's lasers smashed into the shields of the fighter and it seemed as though the inexperience of the pilot was showing as he didn't move out of the way, and so each of his shots hit their mark, and one final strike crippled the right wings of the xwing causing it to spin wildly out of control before smashing into a asteroid and thus ending the poor pilot's life.

"Mynock 4...target down" and with that Jaz pulled his fighter up and out of the field so he could inspect his damage..but he had a good feeling that it was anything major that would impact the craft's capabilities
