A Knight's Commander

Sindri did not have time to comment as two bolts were flying at him. He knew absorbing was not an option.. He settled on deflecting them, but he was not sure if he could get both to hit where he wanted them to. He decided he would simply deflect them.. somewhere.

Sindri reached up, once again and knocked the first bolt to the far corner in the wall.. sadly it still hit a foot or two away from where he wanted it to. Reaching down as fast as he could he caught the second shot that was near his knee sending it harmlessly at the ground. It was hard to get your hands to move fast enough. Perhaps he should use both his hands? "That was close." Sindri said letting out a slow breath.

 

[Dmitri]

"Very good," said Rouge. "Even if you are unable to aim, stopping it is still useful all the same."

Rouge let Sindri contemplate before firing two rounds again.

Sindri nodded to show his understanding. As long as you could block it an stay alive that was all that mattered, but it would be nice to be able to get it to hit where he wanted it to. To train the ability to where he could use it in battle on reflex without his conscious thought on where it would hit, how it would reflect..

The commander fired two once again. Sindri raised his left hand and deflected the first blaster bolt to hit the right wall harmlessly as he used his right hand to catch the second taking his time with this one and aiming it once again at the corner. This time it struck an inch or two away from where he wanted to it. He was getting better, he noted to himself with a smile.

 

[Dmitri]

"You are improving," said Rouge. "Let us see if you can do it for both shots this time."

Rouge fired two rounds.

OOC: Getting old, right? Lol.

OCC: We all need a little spice in our relationships.

Sindri smiled at her compliment, but it vanished when she fired two more shots at him. The Commander was a slave driver. He caught the first bolt with his left hand imagining the bolt striking it then the corner. For the hundredth time today the bolt struck the wall and then ricocheted smacking a few inches away from the corner.

His right descended catching the second bolt and sent it to sink perfectly into the corner. He was not sure if it was luck.. "Ha." Sindri said with a smile pointing at the spot he had been aiming at the entire time.

 

[Dmitri]

Rouge snapped her fingers. A security droid marched it. The Knight-Commander went over and picked up her belongings.

"I need to check up on the status of the Excalibur," informed Bellatrix La Rouge. "I prefer to get a status report every hour." She faced Sindri. "It'll take me an hour." She motioned to the droid, "Right now all we're doing is repetition. The droid can do the shooting for me while I am out. The droid will listen to you, so you'll be able to dictate when the droid shoots and how many times he shoots. I look forward to seeing the results when I return."

Rouge leaving was not that she didn't want to repeat the cycle continuously, but rather to let Sindri get some practice alone. Sindri had been given the necessary tools, and it was now time for him to build upon his early attempts to work on his technique. It also was a motivator, as students tended to work hard when they knew the instructor would be back, whether it be out of fear of failure or a desire to please the instructor.
