--Paper found crumpled up near a waste bin. Chandrilla RJF Command Academy--
Hey mum, Hey Da. I know it has been a while since I wrote, but It's official, I did it. I always told you guys that I would be more than another line worker, do greater things than become a foreman and possibly retire. And as much as it sounded like childish dreams or ambition, you guys were always there to encourage me to do more than the minimum. I didn't always listen when I was home, but I sure do now. Especially since more than my own stupid little butt will pay for it.
It has been a few years so maybe you don't know but after I stopped writing my CO recommend me to the Command Academy. THE Command Academy on Chandrilla. I had to think about it for a while, and it was hard without you guys here, but I could just hear dad saying "Shoot for the moon, and even if you miss you'll land among the stars" like he always used to. A year later, with very few of my normal adventures might I add, and here I am an full dress wearing LIEUTENANT'S BARS!! Your little girl is an officer!
I know it may not be exactly what you guys wanted for me, but I hope I am making you proud all the same. I miss you two so much. And I am so sorry that I wasn't there when either of you passed. But I hope you will forgive me, and that where ever you are, you're happy.
