Shev'la Vencu stepped off of the civilian transport. Everything he now owned he was either wearing or carrying in his hands. His pack held the few meager possessions he had left; identification, left over field rations, a few survival tools, some odds and ends, and the plans for his new beskar'gam he hoped to fashion in the coming weeks. Don't get ahead of yourself, Shev. You need to verify your battle-readiness first and foremost, Shev'la thought to himself. He had been laid up in a hospital for quite some time, months apparently, and he could tell by his somewhat stiff gait this was going to be a painful process.

'Ner vod, welcome home,' a Sergeant greeted Shev as he made it through a security checkpoint.

'I wouldn't exactly call this home, Ruus'alor, but it is good to be back amongst our own,' Shev replied, 'I am afraid I have been gone far too long and missed some important developments our people.' Shev was recorded as 'reporting for duty' before he left the checkpoint. After consulting a holomap Shev made his way to the training center. 'And it's good to be out of that kriffing hospital,' he muttered to himself, grinning wryly. He WOULD miss that nurse though...

Shev quickly found himself in a rather small training center, where several Mandalorians sparred, while others were looking over holoterminals, and still others simply watched. Shev'la put down his gear and began stretching his sore body out in preparation for a hard first day back.

OOC: I'll try to keep OOC to a minimum, but what planets do we have left? Mandalore still in other hands, which planets are the major clans based mostly on, etc.?

((OOC: Corden, our FL, is working on that as we speak.))

Having been recently promoted to the rank of Ruus'alor herself, Carien was on the training grounds as well, instructing some of Aliit Bralor's new recruits in the use of the new, unique, sets of Beskar'gam. Some were trying to run about in the new, achingly heavy, Zakkeg siege armour as if it was just like a regular old suit of Mandalorian armour. And it was starting to get onto the newly minted Sergeant's nerves.

"Listen up chakaare! This suit is called the Zakkeg for a reason! It weighs a ton, but it makes you damn near unstoppable. No, you can't jump around like an osik'la gizka on glitterstim, but you don't need to! Watch." The woman in the bright orange Beskar'gam draws her sidearm, a heavy blaster pistol of a rather dated design, and fires it point blank into the shield of one of the assembled warriors, leaving just the faintest hint of carbon-scorching on the big metal slab. "Keep that shield between you and your opponent, and keep your kad'vode next to you, and you'll be unstoppable. Now, form up, and give me six laps around the field. Ke'kemir!"

Pulling off her helmet, which she clips to her belt, she sighs and shakes out her hair. It was getting a bit long. She'd have to cut it again, or it'd start getting in the way of wearing her helmet or creating an atmospheric seal. She shakes her head again, and simply makes a mental note to get her hair cut next time, before pulling a small, clear, tube from the neck lining of her armour, and takes a sip of water. Her suit captured and recycled most of her body's water loss through, through processes like perspiration and respiring, and filtered back as clean drinking water. A life saver on almost any planet as far as she was concerned.

As she sipped the water, she glanced around the training camp, looking for anything out of the ordinary, and she wasn't dissapointed. Sealing the drinking tube and tucking it back into the lining around her neck, Carien heads over to the new arrival, evaluating his figure as she approaches.

"Su'cuy gar, vod. I haven't seen you around here before."

Shev had quickly noticed several recruits in rather large assault armor being scolded by a woman, a Sergeant by the looks of it, who promptly drew her sidearm and nearly shoved the barrel into a recruit as she fired. There were signs of scorching, but that was it. Impressive, Shev thought, letting the faintest grin creep onto his face. As the recruits took off running in full armor, a Mandalorian pass-time really, the Sergeant removed her helmet and rehydrated, apparently thinking as she did. Her eyes passed over Shev and made a beeline for him, observing him closely. She was pretty, in an untouchable don't-mess-with-me sort of way, and the faint lines of a scar on her face said more of her combat prowess. She was deadly, in more ways than one.

'Su'cuy gar, vod. I haven't seen you around here before,' she said as she approached. Shev'la straightened up a put his chest out, despite the fact he was wearing his armor. When was the last time he had seen a Mandalorian woman? Far too long anyway.

'Su'cuy Ruus'alor,' Shev replied as he removed his helmet with his left hand and gave a quick, sharp salute with his right. 'Shev'la Vencu, reporting for duty, ma'am. I've been far out into the Outer Rim for quite some time, I think I have missed one or two things amongst our vode. Seems like awful timing to have a schism like that within the Mando'ade.'

Shev nodded towards the recruits, who were rapidly gaining distance from them, 'Kandosii beskar'gam, a little too cumbersome for my taste though.'

"Carien Bralor." She replied, before nodding a bit at his comment about the Zakkeg suits. They were heavy and cumbersome, and did take a while to get used to. But it was all deliberate. If you wanted the protection that the Zakkeg gave, you had to give up other traits, such as manouverability.

"Yeah, for me too, if I'm honest. But when you're storming an enemy position and they have several repeating blasters set up, you'll count your blessings that you've got a vod up front with those shields to keep you from getting punched full of holes." She replies simply, rolling a shoulder before glancing over at the group of marching recruits. "Krom'rk! Pick up the pace! Nu'buire vheh'yaim, di'kut!" She shouted, shaking her fist to one whom was lagging behind the others.

"Outer Rim, eh? Been working as a beroya? Don't know any vode whom hasn't tried their hands as one, or a merc. Taris is a great place to find work. So many nobles pompous fools pretending they live on Coruscant in the Upper City, and then you've got the lower city rife with crime, and the less said about the Undercity the better. Good gal though."

'Bralor, eh? I almost married a Bralor girl once upon a time. Cute, but I had to make sure to always wear a stab proof vest when we got rough and tumble. She was a crazy one,' Shev replied, laughing at the memory. 'I'll keep it in mind if I see any of our vode on the battlefield wearing those to go ahead and step behind them. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of those behemouths.' Shev began removing plates from his old, battle-damaged armor while Carien yelled at the recruits.

'Yeah, it sure has been a crazy few years, especially out there on the rim. I did everything from simple bounties to waging small wars. This last one though, took a long time put me in a medcenter for a while,' Shev let a sigh of relief out after getting his chest plates off, the left one especially had been banged up bad from being shot and now fit a little too tight. 'In my immediate future I need to work on two things, getting my body back into peak shape and crafting a new set of beskar'gam, this one is pretty much done.' Shev squatted on his buy'ce, 'Up for some training?'

"Sounds like a Bralor to me, yeah." She grins a bit and rolls her shoulders, as she eyes his dinged up armour plates. "Wayii... What'd you do with that? Lie down on a thermal detonator?" She shakes her head and runs a hand through her hair. "You might wanna take that to the metalsmiths, yeah... we're pretty low on beskar, after the dar'jetii kicked us out of Manda'yaim, but they should be able to smelt it down and salvage most of it."

She grins and crosses her arms as he sits down on his helmet and asks if she's up for some training. "Sure. That's what this place is for, isn't it?" Carien replies simply, before unbuckling and removing her own armour plates.

OOC: No problem, starting tomorrow for the next week I will be out of town, but I should have easy access to a computer during that time, just not a lot of spare time.

'Then I'll keep an eye out for you, Sergeant,' Shev replies with a giant grin and a nod. 'Yeah even beskar has certain limitations against anti-materiel rifles. Most of this damage came from my last contract. Good to know our metalsmiths will be able to take care of it,' he says, tracing his hand along the armor plates.

Shev returns Carien's grin as she removes her beskar'gam and assumes a low defensive posture. 'My hand-to-hand skills are a little lacking at the moment. Being the gentleman that I am, I will let the lady go first, ma'am.' Shev gives a brief wink and awaits as he carefully observes Carien.

Carien rolled her eyes slightly. It was getting ridiculous. The sheer amount of auretii influences that was seeping in amongst the men of the Mando'ade, softening them up. Turning them into "gentlemen". She'd take the opportunity though, as she eased herself into an agressive combat stance. She'd step in close, before swinging out with a powerful chop from her right hand, aiming straight for his throat. But she expected him to block that, so the Sergeant lashes out with a flurry of blows from both hands, an agressive start.

"Ke barjurir gar'ade, jagyc'ade kot'la a dalyc'ade kotla'shya!" She cries, stepping yet closer, before swinging both hands up towards his head, intending to box Shev's ears simultaneously. It was a disorienting move. One that'd stun him, by bursting both of his eardrums.

OOC: Sorry I was out of town and thought I could get to a computer but couldn't.

Bralor had taken the bait. As she came at Shev he ducked his head low and brought his fists up to the sides of his head to block incoming blows. Unfortunately Shev neglected to keep them far away from his head and got bashed a few times with his own arms. Whoops was all he had time to think before she moved in close and his reactions took over. As she stepped in Shev aimed his forehead directly at her nose and pounced forward, at the same time blocking one hand but failed to block his right side as a powerful blow caught him full force on the side of the head.

Carien's expression is unreadable. She shows neither elation nor distress. She simply assaults the younger, but taller, man. With her hands out on either side of him, she fails to block the headbutt, but thanks his greater height combined with her blow to his ear, she's able to direct him away from breaking her nose, and instead slam their foreheads together.

The blow is enough to stagger her. She stumbles back a step, a hand to her head and she shakes it slightly, trying to clear the ringing in her ears, and the spots dancing before her eyes. A blow to the head was always iffy, but a headbutt was always a gamble in itself. You risked damaging yourself as much as your opponent. And Shev'la had taken other blows to the head. He had to be hurting worse than her.

Brawling was about eighty per cent instinctual. That was why she charged him. Even before her head cleared up, she dropped her shoulders as she hurtles herself at him, aiming straight at his torso, seeking to bring him down under their combined weight. If she could bring him down, she'd be straddling him. In the perfect position to rain a hail of blows down onto his head or torso, or even to throtle the man.

Even in the heat of the fight she could hear the words of her buir, echoing in her head. *Fight every battle as if it's your last, Car'ika. Never let up. Do whatever it takes to bring the other guy down. The eyes, the throat, the cheeks, the ears. Gouge, claw, bite, tear. Nothing is more dangerous than a trapped krayt dragon. Fight like one. Become the dragon. Be my Krayt'ika.*

The headbutt hadn't really affected Shev as much as it would have most people, he had been banging his head against other creatures for a long time now, and as such had developed a harder skull. What really threw him off balance was the blow to his ear, dizzying him and the now world was slowly turning around him. He staggered a bit while keeping his defensive posture a little higher than last time for the sake of not getting hit in the head again.

As Bralor came in low to tackle Shev, he dove hard to his right and tucked into a roll and came back up in his fighting stance, trying to shake off the dizziness before Carien recovered from her attempted tackle.

With Shev getting diving out of the way, and no longer there to break her charge, Carien obviously went flying, stumbling and crashing to the dirt of the circle. Growling and shaking her head, she pushes herself back up onto her feet, clenching her fists. As she gets back up, she shakes her head firmly and quickly turn to face the warrior.

"You're good." She grunts, spitting down onto the dust and rubbing the back of her hand against her lips to wipe away saliva. That compliment didn't mean she was going to cut him any form of slack. Darting forward, she releases a rapid series of alternating blows aimed at Shev's head, and his high guard. She rushes him. Agressive. Ferocious. Seeking to overwhelm him, distracting him by drawing his attention to the rain of blows.

Once satisfied that he was distracted, and focused on blocking, dodging, or countering the next blow, she surges forward, bringing up her knee hard and fast, aiming straight between his legs.

'You're good,' Carien grunted at Shev'la. He smirked but said nothing, crouching slightly, awaiting her next move. She came at him fiercely and quickly. Someone done trained her good, Shev thought to himself. He kept his arms and hands in close to his body to quickly counter from any direction. Anyone not accustomed to combat would have been simply overwhelmed, but Shev had learned a long time ago not to think too hard when it came to fighting, it got in the way of your impulses and reactions.

Just as Carien shifted her weight to try and knee Shev'la in the crotch he threw a powerful left jab at her knee as it came up. It would hurt his hand like hell, but it was much better than the alternative. After his punch landed Shev would drive his left shoulder forward and up into Bralor's lower ribs in an attempt to bowl her over and land on top of her with all of his weight.

As Shev punched her knee, she gritted her teeth. The blow was agony, but she'd endue. At least she hadn't torn anything or broken the kneecap. But having her knee driven down and back was enough to put her off her balance, and with Shev then suddenly driving into her chest, she went to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Grunting as she hits the dirt, with Shev on top of her, she knew she was at a disadvantaged position. But since when had she ever let that slow her down? Growling loudly, she leans up to wrap her hands around Shev'la's throat. Her thumbs dig into his windpipe, applying quite a bit of pressure, while her palms and fingers apply pressure to either side of his juggular.

But he'd gotten her blood up. Simply by being good enough to give her a decent challenge. So in her mind, she fell back onto her greatest gift. Her innate ferocity. Roaring, she keeps her fingers pressed against Shev's throat, but she brings her head up. She smashes her head against his. Once. Twice. Thrice. She could feel her nose breaking. She could taste the blood running down her face and into her mouth.

"Ni cuyi wayii Krayt'ika" Came a gruff voice off to the brawling pair's right. Standing there, hands on his belt, was an older Mandalorian warrior clad in archaic beskar'gam. A large, grey-green Akk hound was sunning itself close by, watching the stumbling trainees in their heavy Zakkeg armour.

"Ibac nu'jate marey'akaanir, the both of you. Very good. Krayt'ika, you let your aggression get the better of you, again. I keep telling you this. Aggression is fine when you can control it into another weapon. Wayii, vod? Whoever taught you to block a fist with your ears was a di'kut. Kandosii either way" He said, turning his helmeted gaze between the two of them. He limped over, offering a hand to each combatant to help them up.
