A Meeting of Minds
In the deep heart of space, on an unknown asteroid field, dark forces meet to discuss business and to broker alliances. Overseen by the presitigious NOR'BAAL DESAJILIC KORAGGA members of the EXCHANGE and the DEAD DROP PACT meet, each party on edge, festooned with guards and weapons of their own. Arriving in his own MINSTREL CLASS YACHT the Hutt has commissioned an abandoned mining colony, to serve as the hosting location for their meeting. Security is tight with Guards from the Hutt Families festooning the base, so as to make sure that things run smoothly.

Nor'baal was in a good, perhaps jovial, mood - for he had been looking forward to this particular meeting for some time. Reading through the notes he had ensured to have prepared for the forthcoming meeting, the Hutt reminded himself that he was a Boss in the Exchange, but in addition to this served as advisor to the leader of the DDP - and above all else, filled the capacity of Ambassador for Nal Hutta. In short, he was exceptionally well connected.

Slowly, the Minstrel Class Yacht landed in the designated bay, before the Hutt himself disembarked - under his own power - and made his way to the meeting room. He was dressed in his finery, a shoulder length cape of the finest purple silk, with a matching hat, afixed with chromium clasp, and matching bracers which concealed two holdout blasters within them (just in case).

Entering the meeting room, which was a simple affair with no windows, dominated by a long table with one seat at either end, and a recliner for the Hutt overlooking it against the north face of the room, the Hutt took his seat. He waited for his guests to arrive, who would upon entry be stripped of their weapons by one of the many guards who stood outside the room.

Amidst the numerous asteroids within the belt, a single CZ-100 class corvette eased its way through the maze of rock and debris. Within the craft, a small crew of hired hands working for the Exchange poured themselves into getting their single passenger safely to the abandoned mining colony, where in the Director of the Exchange himself would meet with the leader of the Dead Drop Pact. The slick haired man dressed in a finely stitched suit lit a cigarette hanging from his mouth as he stared out the window of one of the observation decks.

His gaze was far off, indicative of his ever analytical mind as it was buried in thought. He trusted Nor'baal, even though he was a Hutt. In fact, his connections helped make the Exchange as dangerous as it was today. It was largely due to Nor'baal going to the trouble of arranging this meeting in the first place that Pierce had even agreed to it. Personally, he didn't have a taste for piracy. To the contrary, he felt it was a bit too brutal and blunt of a weapon. Invariably, whomever resorted to that type of life would either die a miserable death, or live the rest of their life looking back over their shoulder.

Pierce preferred neither situation really. He much preferred to be at the helm of galactic affairs. Not Senatorial work mind you, even though the idea had briefly crossed his mind. No, he preferred actual power. The kind of power in which one didn't have to lift a finger to be respected and all together feared. And the kind of power that meant he wasn't reliant on sponsors to get re-elected for another four years.

His mind remained deep in thought as his ship docked with the colony, the ramp dropping to allow Pierce to exit onto the pad. Under normal circumstances, he would have brought his body guard to ensure his own safety. Yet for this meeting to be of any benefit, the Director knew he had to exhibit some form of trust, at least with Nor'baal if no one else. He wasn't completely unprotected however, as he had his blaster in his jacket, and not to mention that many of these guards were likely on the payroll. If not directly with the Exchange, then at least as deep as Norb'baal's pockets ran.

After he disembarked, some of the guards in question led him deeper into the colony to where their meeting room would be located. At this point, Pierce elected to finish his cigarette with one final drag, and toss it onto the ground only to be stamped by his polished black shoes. When he entered, he proceeded over to the Hutt who had thusly taken his spot in the chair over the table, a faint smile on his face as he said with a jovial tone: "You always did have a flair for the dramatic, arranging a meeting in a place like this."

Durak didn't like going into a meeting with people since he usually had to be diplomatic which is something the pirate hated to do. Really he wished he could just be a simple pirate but than again that doesn't get someone power, having connections, loyal workers and the army behind you. Now that was power, and the pirate knew only a criminal empire could enough to meet his hunger for power.

But now he was going to a abandoned mining facility to meet with the Exchange leader, really though Durak couldn't wait to see what he had gotten himself into. Bringing only a freighter with a small crew, honestly he didn't want a fight but the pirate was sure things wouldn't go bad. Considering this would mean a war with another faction and that was just bad for business. For now he dressed as one would expect of a pirate, leather jacket, white shirt and black pants, really nothing surprising or flashy, he didn't show his power through clothes or how he held himself but simply knowing that he can cause people more pain than they want. And in reality that's what is good about pirates, they may be brutal but anyone is more afraid of someone that kills for a living and enjoys it than a man who needs hired help to do his dirty work.

He carried a pistol that of course the pirate knew wouldn't be with him for long, but his main weapon was the force not some pistol that he changes every time he gets the change to. Walking into the mining base he wonder how badly this meeting could go, really a Hutt is being the neutral ground for two large criminal organizations, not a friendly or safeties place to be. But Durak was confident in his skills and with the fact that the guards will only work so long as they get paid, so the only ones he would need to deal with would be two individuals.

As the guards lead him to the meeting room the ex Sith notice the crushed cigarette on the floor, signaling that people were already inside the room. And something he felt with the force proves he was correct, taking a moment to let his passion fuel him he allowed the force to build up in just in case scenarios, giving his weapon the the guard before walking into the room where the Hutt and a well dress human were already there.

It was clear that this meeting was going to be interesting but Durak reminded himself that this was important so he tried to keep his sarcastic side under control.

"Hopefully I didn't make you two wait to long." The pirate said glad to not sound to insulting, with a little smile the pirate headed to the other side of the room where a seat was waiting for him.

"Nor'baal glad to finally meet you in person. Love what you did to the place, now should we get to business or must we indulge in small talk?" Durak didn't like to beat around the bush plus, he felt that the human might get under his skin if things didn't go right.
