Jedi temple out skirts
Jedha Dawn

The cold air of the Jedha hit Ekaj. The warming sun had yet to fully arrive and even once it arrives the cool air would stay. though it did not bother Ekaj, he had spent most of his child hood on this green rock. Though he did some times wonder why the force could not have chosen a better world. One that was a bit more civilized and maybe with more to do for fun . Though today those thoughts where not with him. No Ekaj wanted to train far away from the temple. Some where more isolated. Climbing the rocks on the out skirts he arrived at the cave.

The cave was not dark, there where shafts of natural light. Ekaj walked through careful not to disturb the ground as he made his way in side. No sound except the wind moving through the cave. Ekaj removed his robe leaving him self in only hi loose fitting clothing as he sat down legs crossed and focused on the force around him. There was live even where it seemed there was none Jedha was teaming with life all over the planet. Ekaj reached out around him as he felt every thing there was. The planet was strong in the force though one did not need to try to know that even the untrained could feel the force. No Ekaj was try to feel the people in the temple. smaller rocks lifted in to the air as the force swirled around him as he peered in to the temple trying to separate the mass in to the individuals.

ooc any one can join though exils note this is Jedha so coming here may be deadly.

Manjusri felt the force around him, moving and churning the very air that he breathed in the cave. He was carefully translating old Jedi runes he had found inside the cave, attempting to decipher the ancient knowledge they once held.
He made his way to the young boy that was wielding the force with such excellence. Not attempting to break his meditation, he slowly made his way to the young one.
"Quite young to be roaming the caves of Jedha alone, right? I'm Manjusri, and I couldn't help but sense your ability to wield the force. It'd quite potent. Do you train here?"
He asked this question eagerly. He had never met a child this strong in the force before, and had wanted to learn more, but did not attempt to scare him off. He knew that he could look quite imposing, especially in such a grungy setting.

Ekaj broke of the meditation and as he dropped his focus the rocks rained on the ground the sound echoing through the cave. Opening his eyes he could see the older man. He had not seen him as he focused on the temple. So often he was told to to focus on the here and near and once again he had failed. If he had been a danger Ekaj would of been in trouble.

"Thank you master." though he did not know the man standing in the order he knew he was a Jedi and at least a Jedi Knight. So technically calling him master would of been wrong in the sense of rank. But age alone meant that Ekaj felt compelled to venerate him.

"I come here because it isolated, i am trying to pick out individuals in the temple." blushing at being called strong with the force "I dont think i am that strong, i am good at sensing those around me but i failed to see you approach before you got to close." standing up Ekaj stretched by leaning to the sides "May i ask why you are here?"

Manjusri chuckled, he's never been called master before.
"I was just here studying some old jedi runes, you can never learn enough you know. You only could not sense me because you were not looking for me. When focused so hard on one task, it is only expected. When you say pick out individuals in the temple, what is the purpose of it? For training?"
Manjusri reminisced on his old training days. Spending hours perched on a mountain from his home world, with nothing but the sound of waves hitting it grainy sides. He'd spend hours there, this child reminded him of himself.
He had felt uneasy though. Not entirely sure of what the child meant by Trying to pick out individuals in the temple. Could he be lost? Or was there a more sinister plot taking place here...

Ekaj knew there where ruins here from long before he was born but he never really thought one could learn from. Was not all the knowledge recorded or was there knowledge lost.

"O? what do you learn from ruins. Was not every thing recorded and stored?"

When asked why he was focusing on the temple Ekaj shrugged and he knew the older knight was correct that it was not right to expect him to see some thing close when he was focused so far.

"training i guess, i mean it hard since the force is blinding in the temple and many people are obscured by it. So i take it as a challenge. So i guess one could call it personal test of my ability."

The old hermit took a near destroyed note book out of his robe, and opened its pages.
"This book I have here, is all the translating I've done in these ruins. They are long forgotten, they are nothing to our people now, except for me. I find great pleasure in learning new things, and discovering them makes it all the sweeter." He said, making him sound like a bit of a nerd.
He was entirely curious on the kids potential, if he had been able to single out one or two people in a temple full of hundreds of jedi, would could he do with some training? "While I can sense your force powers are impressive, do you own a light saber yet? I feel as though you have much potential in the art of weapon combat."
The old man had reached for the ragged saber in his robe pocket, and pulled it out slowly, just to show the young one. His saber had a worn hilt, with a jade green kyber crystal hibernating in the inside.

Ekaj understood where the man came from. A personal search for knowledge

"how can we be sure that your work is truly useless to us. You never know one day it may be all that is left of the Jedi'

Ekaj blushed a bit at the idea of him being powerful in the force. Maybe he was but training is what mattered in the end. Potential was wasted with out the knowledge on our to use it.

"of course, I am all ready a knight. Though I suspect that because the order is desperate for knights that why we getting the title at younger ages than when you became a knight."

Ekaj moved his hand behind him to bring out his own blade. Made from a pale blue crystal. The hilt looked sleek and had yet to show any sighn of age.

Magnificent.
He slowly examined the sleek hilt of the pristine blade, and then shown his own, A tattered old saber. He needed a new holt desperately, but thatg Kyber Crystal had been apart of his life for years. He'd never get rid of it.
"Do you practice a certain form of light saber combat? I'd like to see you perform some of it."
With no time for Ekaj to think, the hermit jedi picked up several pebbles and launched them all at him. Depending on how he dispatched of these rocks would show him exactly what kind of saber combat he performs.

Ekaj was caught off guard but acted fast. His blade was all ready in hand so he quickly ignited the yellow blade. Bringing it close Ekaj deflected only those plebes that where a threat. Using as small movements required the blade all ways close ready to defend. "i don't practice enough but i will not be brought down by tinny rocks" with the show over Ekaj moved is lightsabre in a typical Soresu guard.

Not surprising, Manjusri had thought to himself.
With a man of such small stature, it was no shock to himself that he was fully able to deflect those rocks with ease, and the way he did it clarified his pro conceived notions: That this wasn't any ordinary boy, but rather, an extremely gifted fighter.
"I want you to lift up some rocks and throw them back at me, it will show how advanced your are in the force."
Manjusri had prepped himself in his fighting style, and prepared for the worst. He was deflected himself from far worse things than just pebbles.

Ekaj turned of his blade and returned it to his waist. "sure don't blame me if I hit you" Focusing on the force pebbles in front of Ekaj shook and lifted of the ground but they where a ruse. The true threat came from just one rock Ekaj had focused on behind the older knight. Launching it straight from the ground he hoped to catch the jedi of guard.

The older jedi had chuckled. He could sense the pebble being lifted up behind himself.

He put his light saber behind his own back before the pebble flew right into it. He knew exactly where it was going before Ekaj even released it

"You have much to learn still." He said nicely before packing the translations of the old text back into his knapsack. He made his way to the exit of the cave, but not before shaking Ekajs hand. He appreciated the good time he had with the kid, and it made him feel young again.
