The planet of Ilum, one of the wonders of the galaxy. A holy land of the Jedi Order, a place of peace, prosperity and knowledge. Truly this land was one that was awe taking, the Temple alone placed on the blue planet took those new to the order by shock, the smooth lining and details of carvings on the pillars towards the entrance, the grand doors that held the temples inner from the weather, to hide it's knowledge and secrets of the Jedi order far far away from the searching eyes. The planets vibrant blue mixed with the purple undertones made for the most amazing sunrise and sunsets. Though few had ever truly seen the full beauty of the Temple and the planet that it was placed on. The few that had known of it's might and beauty had been changed through the force.

This planet was protected much like the other Temples of the Jedi Order. By the Temple Guardians. Their role was to protect those who lived, studied, and trained with in these walls of the temple. An order kept secret to most of the outside galaxy. Truly only the Jedi had known of their jobs, yet none knew who was behind the white dawning mask with gold fanning out. The case with Ilum was no different, yet it lacked the normal amount of Padawans trained, maybe that was just due to the war but the oddity had given some light to the new studies, giving Jedi Masters a way to read on the history of the Jedi and their grand power. The Temple Guards had always kept a watchful eye on the studies of each Jedi, sensing and wondering who may fall to the grips of the Dark Side once again...

Jedi of all kind came from the far corners of the galaxy to study, meditate, and hone their skills of the force on all temples. What Celtax had noticed during his time upon this planet was the pure and raw power of the force, the light side truly made it's mark upon this land. The quiet and peaceful land gave the young Jedi Temple Guard time to think over the issues of the light and the dark. Mediation was a must to the daily life of a Jedi, as he sat down in his quarters, a small whisper came to him during one of these sessions. It was his own will speaking to him, he couldn't stay on this planet anymore. Years, Years of his life he dedicated himself to the Temple Guards, protecting all that was within it's walls, it's might. All from the Dark Side which had ever grown through the Force. He felt it. It was all the way down to his very soul feeling the tug of the force shift ever slightly, the loss of life, of the Jedi and all that stood for the way of the light. But something inside of him had changed. His mind was made up, he would have to leave the Temple Guards to join the Jedi Knights in their battle for peace.

Celax's body relaxed as he took in a calm breath, letting the peace of mind flow through his whole being. The relaxation of the temple aiding his mediation. After a few moments of this he opened his eyes ever so gently. His site was fuzzy at first while he had been in a trance for hours. Lifting a single hand up the Mask that the Temple Guards wore rested on the ground next to his right side. Slowly it floated up and placed gently on his face with a soft click to hold it in place. Earlier that week Celtax had sent a message to the Grand Master of the Jedi, he was expecting him to be here to talk about the new involvement he could offer the order. As he left his room with the door closing behind him with a light hiss. He would move to the outer section of the Temple, to the landing grounds. Awaiting the Grand Master.

Tython burned. The Order fell. The Jedi wept. One terrible working of the Force and the crystal that had guided Jedi for ages became a weapon. The massive Kyber Crystal on Ilum was guarded by the best the Jedi had to offer. Skilled and dangerous Jedi Knights kept vigil at all hours. The Temple was rigged with more sensors, defenses, and soldiers, than a Star Defender. The Jedi were determined to never let Tython happened again.

Valen was deep in the recesses of Ilum. He had not seen the crystal since it had been perverted by the Darkside. When he assumed the mantle of Grand Master he further increased security on Ilum. He had come to see the crystal himself. It felt as he remembered it had the first time he had set eyes on the huge crystal. That had been decades ago when he was young Jedi, trying to build his Lightsaber. They should have protected it. How could they have known? Cain rarely left his throne but the man was still dangerous. In time, the Dark Lord would fall. Valen’s commlink beeped. He sighed and touched the earbud. Alara’s voice chimed in clearly.

“Grand Master, you have that meeting above.” He signed. “Why?” There was a brief pause. “The message did not say. It was from a single Guardian and addressed to you.” He ran his hands through his hair as he started to walk. “Isn’t that what I have you for.” Alara’s sparkling laugh filled his ear. “It is important for you not to forget from whence you came, Grand Master.” He had so much to do and so little time. He prayed this was not a waste of that time. Valen slowly made his way to the outer section of the Temple. He let his aura spread. He waited for the Guardian to find him. @Vosh Deo

The new rush of the force flew over the Young Guardian as he stood at the doorways. The grand doors towering over the entrance to give a look of intimidation. With his hand out using the force to give an opening with the door. The giant doors moved slowly with a loud creak and groans moaning out while they stopped with a loud thud. Those around the temple would turn and look to the doors, yet only saw a single Temple guard make his way out from the doors. His Temple armor was pure white and gold, shinning in the sun. His pace was quick, he had some where to be with this. Others moved out of his way. The force had guided him along so far. So very far in life he and the force had aided each other. Calex started to space out slightly as he made his way to the source of the new found power.

It was when he was a padawan, no older than 12. His Master had just taught him the arts of the Light-saber pike. Just as the other students had been taught, it was an awaking to the young boy. His eyes sparkled as he took the blade into his hand, letting the metal touch flow against his fingers. The new feelings danced and clouded his mind. It was as if it was meant to be his. --

His day dream was cut short as he saw the man. The Grand Master. Approaching the Grand Master Calex gave a bow before speaking.

"It is an honor that you would meet with me per my request, Grand Master. I am Calex Vildout. I stand before you as a Temple Guardian of the Jedi temples, but. There is a reason for your being here. For my request."

He paused for a moment before kneeing before the Grand Master, much as a sign of respect.

"I wish to join your Ranks, give my blade to the ways of the war. Where I can train my own student, help other Jedi Knights, yet still give the living force a change to be protected through my will."

All he could do was wait. While his head hung down looking at the ground below him. Only the force could guide him now.

The cold winds of Ilum hammered the heavy panes of the windows. Valen stared out at the frozen wasteland, his breath frosting. Even in the Temple the air was biting. He let the Force carry the cold from his body as he waited for the Guardian. He heard footsteps and sensed bubbling anxiety before Calex spoke. He turned to face the armored Jedi. Valen suppressed a sigh. This was one of those meetings. He took his duties very seriously but not every word was life or death. The balance of the galaxy did not hang on every meeting. There were too many Jedi who took everything far too seriously. The galaxy was at war, they could not live with that burden every second of every day.

“For the love of the Force, stand up.” He was still uncomfortable with the displays of supplication. You could take the Jedi out of the Outer Rim but never the Outer Rim out of the Jedi. Valen had never felt right about strict formalities. It was a strange image to have a man kneeling before him in the halls of the Temple. Mostly, he was confused. “The Templar are not bound to serve for life. Separate and apart from the Order, but Jedi still.” A small frown tugged at the corner of his lips. “You are free to leave the service of the Templar and travel unrestricted about the galaxy.” He was concerned about this perception perpetuated within the ranks of the Templar. He would need to speak with the Master in charge of marshalling the Temple Guard. “You don’t need it, but you have my permission.” He was uncertain what else he could offer the Templar. @Vosh Deo

The winds caused Calex's cloak to flap slightly as he slowly rose up to face the Grand Master face to face. The white and gold mask just peered at the grand Jedi, yet nothing was said for more than a few seconds. Just the dark empty gaze of the black void the mask gave the wearer hiding their eyes and over all expressions. But the force couldn't hide it all, the clear emotion of confusion and embarrassment came off Calex like a sea flowing down. His mind raced with questions, not that teachings had said they weren't part of the cause but their job was different from the rest. Leaving the Service of the Templar was something he never knew. Gently he shifted the over cloak to cover his body from the chilled winds before speaking.

"I thank you for your permission but that's not why I called you here. - Not quiet that is." Calex said with a raised hand slipping from the white and gold cloak, as if he was to pardon a comment, slowly lowering his hand he spoke again. "I wish to remain by your side, learn from your ways of the force. Not as a student but as a peer. I have learned a far different side of the force, not part of the order, but at the same time still in the ways of the light. But learning from one such as you. The Grand Master I would request to teach me the ways of the Order. So I one day can bring my own student, my own teachings to the council of the Jedi." Another pause came from Calex as the emotions inside him shifted. It was more confidence, bold, and yet careful. "The sith have plagued the galaxy for far too long, my brothers and sisters have died for such a cause and my being here. -" He motions to the grand doors behind him. "Does nothing to change their doings. - I understand that you may have seen this visit and calling as a waste of time. You have a lot I understand going on. But perhaps your mind would be calmer if you walked the halls of the temple. - Come, let's go inside. It's best we stay out of the winds. Storms come and go around here quickly."

Confusion, and a million questions flashed across Valen’s face. He made no effort to hide the quizzical look plastered on his features. He was rarely rendered speechless. Frankly, he could not remember the last time he had been forced to search for his words. Calex had managed to steal the speech from his lips. He did not know what to think of the Temple Guard. As far as Valen knew, the Temple Guard were trained as Jedi Knights. They received all of the traditional training of the Jedi. It was not until they had passed the trials that they could chose the path of the Templar. There was no different side of the Force for the Temple Guards. The Lightsided touched them all. Guardians, Knights, Initiates, and Masters, all felt the warm embrace of the Lightside. Valen followed Calex into the deeper recesses of the Temple.

“The calming waters of the Lightside set my mind at ease.” He did not know what to say to Calex. “The horrible act committed deep below us still vibrates on Ilum.” He took a deep breath and tried to answer. “You do not need to be taught the ways of the Order. You already know them.” His eyes scanned the large vaulted ceilings. It was cold, even here.

“There is no one way to be a Jedi. I spent nearly a decade on the Outer Rim with my Master, rarely seeing the inside of a Temple. Some teach their students only in the Temple.” Valen paused to look at Calex. “Our galaxy is dotted with countless stars, there are just as many types of Jedi. The key is to find the right student.” That was the best advice he could offer. There were a thousand different ways to aid the Jedi and transition from the Temple Guards. Valen saw little else he could do for the man. If Calex wanted to change his life, he needed to take the first step. "Good luck." With that, the Grand Master swept from the meeting. He had other pressing duties weighing on his mind.
