(OOC: This is a small introductory thread to my character Jerdesh, to get him into the story smoothly)

Calm. Peace. Jerdesh felt nothing but the light side from the plains of Ossus. He had come here to meditate, to search the Force for meaning, and guidance. He had felt such pain in the days after Ilum, he had almost lost hope in the Light Side. But yet, here on Ossus, the Force would persevere, and the Grand Library at its heart housed all the knowledge known of it.

Jerdesh had spent most of his time studying the texts of that great temple. It held equal amounts of wisdom as it did warnings, Jerdesh knew. He had steered clear of the texts that tempted one to the Dark Side, as his masters called it, and he knew that once that warning was abandoned, he would fall.

The texts also had another strength other than knowledge. They had the power to unite. And Jerdesh knew, that that was what the order needed most at this time. A means to bring together the Order, and the Council, as it had done. But the different views of the Jedi had splintered the Order from within. The defensive Guardians, the warrior Crusaders, the protective Sentinels, and the scholarly Consulars. They were all part of the same Order and true servants of the Light Side, but their views were so different that they were scattered around the galaxy.

Jerdesh knew that their was only one means to unite the Order again: the Jedi Council. But this council was merely a means to govern all Jedi rather than a call to unite them. And so, the Jedi required a reminder: the old Jedi masters of the Prime Jedi.

Their secrets were long lost, gone along with their origins on a planet long since then forgotten. But Jerdesh knew that they had left clues of their existence elsewhere. The Republic had long known of the Jedi Order, and the masters visited these worlds more often than not. Jerdesh knew little of these visits, other than that they produced some form of credited data in the form of their teachings or certain events.

Jerdesh, as the scholar he was, had since then made an effort to reclaim these artefacts, if only they were for the betterment of the Library. But he also knew that these teachings contained some of the most primal insights into the Force, of a time where little was known, and where the Light and Dark Side were still singular. One such relic had presented itself, in the texts that Jerdesh had examined. But the place where it was held, scared Jerdesh to the bone: Tython. He knew the tainted world held much danger, but if he was to reclaim such an important piece of wisdom, he had to go there.

Jerdesh rose from his meditation in silence, sighing heavy as he took in the air of Ossus. He had walked to the plains from the Library, and now walked back to it, as he looked to the massive building. Its serenity appeared to counter the tragedy that had befallen the Jedi. more and more people flocked to its contents every day, seeking guidance from the teachings of old masters and new alike. As Jerdesh approached the Library, he was greeted by his loyal droid, Deesix. Jerdesh looked at his companion with a smile, nodding, and saying: "Very well then. Go prepare the ship. I have some more errands to attend to." Deesix looked at his master, and beeped an compliance, and rolled back to Jerdesh's ship, the 'Master's Herald'. Jerdesh smiled, and went inside, to his chamber.

He prepared his travelling bag, as he had done so many times before. But this time, it felt more heavy, as if it knew the destination of its owner. Jerdesh sighed again, centring himself in the Force, and walked back to the entry. He had told only a few of his plan, outside Councillor Erach. She had to know in order for him to continue, but little aside his fellow students knew. That saddened him, as he did not know if he would return safely, nor with the relic even. Still, he trusted in the Force.

He stood outside the library, looking at its arches, and nodded. To help the consulars was his highest goal. He walked to his ship, comforted by the sight of Deesix at its side, and entered the cockpit. Deesix went into his little socket behind the cockpit, bleeping excitingly at Jerdesh. Jerdesh smiled, and spoke to his droid: "Yes, my friend, we're going to travel again." Deesix bleeped even more loudly at that, and the ship took of from the plains, with some people waving at Jerdesh.

As Jerdesh left the planet, he calmed himself, and spoke softly: "May the Force be with us." Then, the ship escaped into hyperspace, towards Tython and the Inner Core.
