She didn't complain any further as he took away her sight and obediently started to follow. She couldn't help but to laugh as he simply picked her up for the stairs and reached for his hand as she was back on the ground.

She was convinced they'd use the speeder or a different kind of transport, so it was easier to keep her excitement at bay for now, but once she was sitting inside the speeder, she shifted a little from one side to the other.

"See? Mean. Told you so. What a vile idea with the helmet...but once again I'm amazed by your unbound generosity" she sarcastically remarked, blindly reaching for his thigh and holding onto it as he started driving.

The conversation was pleasant, even if it was a little weird to be without the chance to meet his gaze, but it was alright for now. "But you mentioned food earlier...hmmm maybe you know other fancy places around". In the end, she circled back to the issue, smirking as she did so, but they reached their mysterious target just a little later.

"Okay..." she replied as he asked her to wait again, biting her lip as she still felt the urge to just reach out and check their surroundings like she always did as she simply liked to be on her guard, but she still actively held herself back until he led her out.

Now the excitment was washing over her again, manifesting in a warm, excited smile as he finally removed the blindfold. She had to blink a few times for her eyes to adjust to the brighter light again, but once she did saw everything he had prepared, she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Oooooh, Jon" she whispered against his ear before pulling back and kissing his cheek. "This is so sweet!". Her heart was just full, the view was incredible, the food he had prepared had looked absolutely amazing and his idea was the best.

She had never truly forgotten about the promise they had given each other, but it had wandered into the back areas of her mind and it wasn't just sweet of him to remember, but also an idea that simply made her happy. "Thank you!" she let her lips melt against his, forgetting herself in the moment for a while until she met his gaze again.

"Let's do our competition first, then we can get to the more comfortable part afterwards...", she suggested, beaming up at him before her gaze flicked towards the sling-shot. "Or do you think your demise will be too hard to stomach for the meal afterwards?" she teasingly added, giving him a challenging smirk.

He found her small complaints amusing as she gripped his leg. The weather was perfect, the sun warm but not hot, a pleasant breeze.

When they finally arrived, and he unveiled the surprise he had been working on for the last hours, she spun and hugged him. The feeling of her breath against his ear sent a pleasant shiver down his spine as he smiled.

"You're welcome." he said. He enjoyed their drawn-out kiss, hand moving to hold the side of her neck until she pulled away a moment later.

"Competition it is!" he said with a smile. He handed her a bag of perfectly sized rocks that he had been collecting for some time in anticipation of today. "I think it would be proper to let the Lady go first." he said as he pretended to ponder.

He drew a line in the dirt a few meters back from their targets. "After you..." he said, taking a step to the side and gesturing towards their targets.

He seemed to be fine with the competition and she readily rolled her shoulders. She was still incredibly happy, not just for the surprise, but for he sheer opportunity to have this afternoon off. The wide, warm smile never left her lips as she reached for the slingshot before taking the little stone in the other hand.

"Those stones look really professional...suspiciously fitting" she joked as she tested the resistance of the rubber band. "And you're sure you having practiced? But fine, I'll begin" she added with a chuckle as she positioned herself behind the dirt line.

Even for her delicate hands the primal weapon seemed way too small, but she was absolutely counting on having a benefit there as Jon's hands were definitely bigger. "Okay let me see...". Despite still smirking, her eyes switched into full focus mode as she focused on the first target.

The actual shooting was fairly easy: you placed the stone inside, kept it in position while pulling the rubber and finally letting both go in the right moment. She did exactly that, and to her own surprise, it did graze the targets outer to mid ring. "Ohh yessss...your turn". She handed him the equipment before swapping positions with him, excited to see how he'd do. Generally, he was definitely more experienced with long distance weapon you'd have to aim, but maybe it was about finesse here.

"They are rocks...I found them on the ground." he said with a side look before shaking his head and laughing. "No I have not to practiced, though the thought did cross my mind a couple of times.." he admitted as he handed her the weapon. "First to five?" he asked as she prepared.

She took a moment, getting a feel for the weapon, and let loose. It struck the target, rock ripping through the paper and shooting off into the forest beyond. "Hey! Not bad!" he said. His voice had some pride, even if this was a competition.

He took the slingshot from her. It was definitely too small for his hands, but he thought he could manage. He placed the stone in the sling and pulled back. He instinctively pulled a little too hard, making his shot move veer off to the left as it shot through some bushes.

"Huh." he said, staring into the woods for just a second before shrugging. "Maybe I should have practiced..." he said before handing it back over.

She narrowed her eyes, regarding him critically for a moment before she replied, "Alright I'll believe you. First to five". With that, she started and hit, before he narrowly missed. "That wasn't too bad! It looks pretty comical in your hands though" she remarked rather playfully before they changed again.

She tried to do exactly what she had done before and as she loosened the stone,it hit again! "Seems like while you have beerbong, slingshots are up my alley" she laughed amusedly, actually shaking her head in disbelief about how she had even gotten closer to the bull's eye. She didn't feel like she hit where she aimed, but obviously she didn't do that too bad.

"I start to believe there's a reason for why the Ewok has chosen me as the new slingshot bearer..." she joked, approaching him to give him an affectionate kiss before she positioned herself behind him again. Perhaps it was beginner's luck for her, but this wasn't far from over. "Back to you!".

He watched on as she made an even better shot the second time. His face settled into a practiced scowl as he let out a breath. "Don't count me to just yet," he said

She proudly sauntered over to him, pressing a kiss onto his still scowling lips. He was still in this; he just needed to focus. He took the slingshot back into his hands.

He studied the weapon for a moment; the confidence he had a moment ago was eroding. It had not been as easy to aim as he thought it would be. He closed his eyes and took several breaths before taking aim. He let loose, he felt better about his form, but the shot went even more off-target.

"Maybe the Ewok chose correctly," he said with another disappointing shake of his head before passing it back to her.

After she had returned the slingshot, she watched in full suspense as he was starting again, however, while he seemed confident, there simply seemed to be something amiss big hands and the tiny tool. The stone flew and vanished into thin air.

Kalique bit her lips as she approached him, sympathetically rubbing his arm as she said, "Maybe I should have traded for a slingshot in your size...". She had expected this would have done differently, but so far, luck really didn't seem to be with him and she was beginning to feel bad about this.

"This still isn't over. I'm just at 2". She got into position once again, toying with the idea of simply aiming elsewhere but she knew attentive as Jonathen was, he'd notice. She focused on the very middle, and hit. It grazed the bull's eye on the left side, but it did hit it.

"Okay this is wild...". She turned with an almost apologetic grin, passing the slingshot once again. Maybe the tables would finally turn now! "I still believe in you...". He knew her senses were natural heightened, and even if she didn't use the Force actively, it was probably easier to get a feeling for the slingshot.

"No, its fine." he said when she started making excuses for him. He didn't mind losing, even if it annoyed him, but he wouldn't stoop to that level. If she beat him, it was fair and square, even if she did use her powers. He never wanted her to hold herself back because of him.

He only could laugh as she hit the bull's eye next. "Maybe you missed your true calling." he said. "Yeah yeah..." he said, shrugging it off. While he was competitive, he was still having fun with their little game.

He took the slingshot back, this time trying not to think about it too much; he raised the weapon and let loose. The rock flew through the bullseye, and he took out a relieved breath. He was still likely to get beat pretty handily, but at least he had scored once. Hopefully, it wasn't just a lucky shot.

"Here ya go!" he said, breathing a little easier now.

Regardless of how surprised she really was, she overplayed it and joined the joke. "I swear someone in the Demici bloodline must have lived and hunted on Endor". To be fair, her ancestors were hunters and used more traditional weapons, but she had never seen anyone use a slingshot in the countless paintings.

"I've got a feeling this time will be better!" she happily encouraged him and all of a sudden he did not only hit, but present the best shot of both of them so far. "Damn look at you. You were just warming up, I knew it". 3 to 1. It was soooo on, but she was afraid her luck had run out by now.

The heated phase was about to start and Kalique slowly breathed in. She then pulled back the rubber - and missed. "I knew it...". So this was absolutely his chance to turn it all around.

"I would pay serious credits to have your parents go to one of those dinners on Endor..." he laughed. The mental image of it was great, almost enough to make him think they should do it sometime. "You and that rebel chieftain did cozy up together pretty quick...maybe you are on to something.." he said, winking.

He could only shake his head at what he assumed was just a lucky shot before passing it back to her. She aimed and shot, but this time, it did miss. Jon was careful to study her to see if she had purposely done so. He eyed her for a moment before taking back to slingshot. "I'm watching you Demici..." he said with a suspicious tone.

Figuring he could do any worse, he went with the same strategy last time. Not thinking about it, he raised the slingshot and let loose, hitting the bullseye again. Maybe it was going to be close after all. "At least I won't have to be too embarrassed," he said with a chuckle.

"So if the Ewok picked you to have the slingshot because you are such a mighty hero, what does the necklace mean?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Imagining her parents squeezed into such a hut in their finest evening attire was a hilarious imagine to have in mind.n"Absolutely...we should definitely plan a trip some day all together...maybe the chieftain will be happy to see us again". After all, they had helped him, too.

However, what she said fitted what he hinted at perfectly. "Well...let's just say you better keep me happy" she jokingly replied, "He was...pretty soft". With the tranquilizers that had been in her system, she hadn't been able to remember a lot, but this she had definitely felt. She had no idea why they had ended up in a convoluted pile, but he had shown her the evidence.

"Nice shot...you do want to win this, hmm? What is the wager, by the way? Maybe I need some actual motivation", she teased back, smirking up at him while swapping the slingshot once again. "A self made necklace...I'm pretty sure it's a symbol of fertility" she then broke into laughter, having found it hilarious back then and figuring out how it still was incredibly funny.

Regardless of what wager he'd come up with, she'd try her best to focus as she aimed again- "Oh there we go. Heroic", she chuckled, passing the tools again. "So match point next round...Not to add any pressure or anything".

"Absolutely" he joked with another laugh. They walked passed each other as she quipped about their target on Endor. He reached a hand up, tilting her jaw up towards him. "I suppose I ought to..." he said with a grin before walking passed her.

"Of course, I want to win!" he said. "No no no...we aren't coming up with a wager after we discovered your some slingshot wizard, and the match is already in your favor; totally not fair," he said with a shake of his head.

He coughed slightly as she explained what the necklace actually was. "No, it isn't..." he said, studying her face to see if she was lying. She laughed, but he got the impression she had been telling the truth, holding it from him all this time. "I thought it had something to do with being a warrior; I have shown that to people..." he said, shaking his head.

"Nice shot," he admitted before taking back the slingshot. Not wanting to try anything, he did the same thing he had been doing, firing without much aiming or thought. It didn't hit the bull's eye but was close.

"3 to 4" he said, hoping that the slow start hadn't cost him the game before he even hit his stride. "Not to add any pressure or anything.." he said, repeating her words.

Their playful exchange continued until he completely shut down the wager idea. She was still laughing, shaking her head and throwing in, "But you're catching up! Also, my initial luck has run out...but still, I need to get something out of this don't I?" she amusedly quipped back, crossing her arms in front of chest as she watched him again.

It wasn't hard to tell that he was doubting whether she was just making things up, but she had actually done her research on Ewokese culture and she hadn't been lying. "Well...they craft such necklaces to various occasions and they have multiple symbolisms...you're not wrong, they're also praising warriors with them, but they are also a fertility sign...".

Given that a child had made it, she was definitely assuming that the 'honorable, mighty warrior' interpretation was more accurate, but it was funnier to let her words linger like that. Still, their whole exchange was too funny to stop chuckling right here and so she found it quite hard to focus already.

He hit and pressure was immediately rising. "Well okay. Now we're talking". She was slightly out of breath from all the laughing and this time as she aimed, she was stepping onto uneven ground, so that her torso slightly moved to the sigh to regain balance and prevent herself from stumbling, but this definitely meant that the shot was lost.

The Knight-Captain walked back up to him, finally managing to calm down and shifting into a more serious mood. "Seems like this is your chance, Commander". She met his beautiful, light brown eyes with her emerald gaze, holding eye contact for a little moment as she handed him the slingshot. "If you hit now, it's match point for both of us. Would you consider a wager then?" with one raised eyebrow and a smirk still on her lips, she expectantly waited for a reply before he'd get his grande moment to shine.

He listened as she asked for a wager again. Not confident their little competition would even make it back to his turn, he remained silent, enduring the brief bout of pouting.

"Well, alright then. I'm still not sure I am buying it, though.." he said suspiciously. He would need to get it looked at by someone at some point. The Empire had to have some historian he could tap for this.

The game continued, Jon narrowing the score to a one-point game. She missed her shot again, and he had the opportunity to make it all tied at game point.

The pressure was truly mounting now; he wanted to win this. He shot and just barely struck the target, tieing it up. He let out a relieved breath he had been holding.

"Alright, lets hear it. What do you want to wager?" he asked as he turned. He would hear her out at least, though if they were going to come to a deal, it had better be worth it.

He handed her the slingshot as he awaited her response.

Jon did actually catch up and even if he remained suspicious, she just innocently raised her arms. "I told you you'd be a natural at this...but now I really have to play" she teased, crossing her arms i front of her chest before she cocked her head to the side.

"Let's say an undefined favor we can call on whenever" she suggested with a smirk, meeting his gaze. "No questions asked, but the other one has to do it". Oh she had many genius, hilarious ideas, but she had all time to think about this after actually securing this one.

"Are you in Baize or what?", she playfully teased again before she aimed - and missed. "Damn...now the pressure was just too high". She grinned, although her competitiveness was flaring up. Was that her chance for a free random, potentially bs favor? "Guess it's in your hands now...".

He stared into her playful green eyes for a moment as she issued the challenge. "Deal." he finally said, handing the slingshot over to her.

Jon crossed his arms, staring intently at the targets as she line up her shot. It missed, just missing the paper target. It seemed unreal; his chance at the comeback was actually real.

"Guess so." he said, mock confidence filling his voice. There was no way he would make this. "You got this Jon..." he whispered to himself though she could hear it. "You were born for this..." he continued, raising the slingshot and letting loose. The rock went through the center bullseye. He stared at it for a moment before a grin spread across his face.

"That was...close..." he said, turned back towards her, handing her back her weapon. "Good game." he said happily.

She actually saw her chances swindling quickly and she bit her lip. This was baaaad. She had such great idea already and he was about to win. She toyed with the thought of distracting him...or making sure this game continued longer, but obviously, she couldn't. She had to win fair or square or not at all.

She busted into laughter as she cheered on himself quietly, teasingly adding, "Maybe...or maybe you were considered a fertility god". It had been hilarious as the little Ewok had happily handed him the necklace, but it seemed like the slingshot grew on him quickly.

"Don't lose your nerves-" and then he let loose and hit. Fuck. "Nooo" she dramatically sighed, covering her face with her hands. Obviously, she was strongly amused, but she had lost a favoe after all.

"Gg...but damn. Seems like I owe you something". She faced him again, accepting her defeat with a sigh. "You fought well...so you deserve this". She pulled him into a kiss before she met his gaze with a wide smile. "That was a fun idea though...are you hungry?" they still had a scenic view ahead of them and she couldn't have been any happier.

He gave her a side glare when she mentioned fertility god before turning his attention back to his shot.

Jon didn't gloat, but he was happy to win. He would have to put serious thought into how he wanted to use his winnings, the wheels already spinning. He became distracted from that thought as she pulled on his shirt, pulling him down into a kiss. He let out a low, satisfied sound as she pulled back, his hands pulling her close to him.

"I had a blast, and food sounds great.." he agreed, shifting and walking over towards the large picnic blanket spread over the ground. He dropped to his knees by the basket and started pulling out items. "Alright, so I didn't have that much time, so I kept it pretty simple..." he explained as he pulled out a container of fresh cut-up fruit as well as a board filled with different cut-up pieces of meat, cheese, and crackers.

"Wine?" he asked, looking up at her as he pulled out a glass and a bottle. He pour himself a glass afterward and settle into a relaxed sitting position, looking at her and smiling before looking out over the valley and the city beyond. "Pretty sure you can just make our new building." he said, squinting and pointing to a building on the outskirts of the city. "Right. There." he said with a smile.

It seemed like the slingshot competition was finally settled, but this didn't mind the issue would never surface again. "I'll be much more prepared for the rematch...just saying" she amusedly quipped, followed him to the picnic place he had chosen.

"Simple is perfect..." what he did start to take out looked amazing and she sat down cross legged as she nodded. "Yes, please". When she wasn't on Serenno, she wasn't usually drinking wine, but this seemed like the perfect occasion to do so.

"The view is amazing..." a smirk crossed her eyes purposely lingered on him before she gratefully accepted the glass. The venue he had chosen was obviously wonderful and she raised her glass, adding, "to this new chapter" as he mentioned the apartment.

"Our new building...sounds like we own the complex" she let our a chuckle as she reached for a piece of fruit. "I'm so excited about this all...have you told your parents yet?". She was still thrilled to visit Spintir, but now they could also easily invite them over.

"I can't wait." he said truthfully to the proposition of a rematch. He loved their little competitions.

He poured her glass and relaxed back. He smiled, raising his glass to hers. The slight click of the glass before he took a sip and relaxed back on the blanket. "It is! I found it one day I was hiking out here. Been saving it for a special occasion." he said, smiling up at her. Jon took a piece of cheese off the board and took a bite, savoring the sharp flavor.

"I mean, just the important part," he said with a chuckle. "I haven't," he replied. He hadn't talked with his parents much since he got back. "I need to call them..." he said, trailing off slightly. He didn't really know how much he should tell him about what happened. He didn't want them to worry. It was harvest season, and he knew they would be bust. The excuses piled on top of each other.

"They ask about you a lot, you know..." he mentioned, reaching for a piece of fruit. "Sometimes I think my mom is more interested in hearing about you than me," he said with a laugh. They were certainly different in so many ways from her parents, but at the end of the day, parents were parents.
