Planet: Tatooine
Place: Central Slave market
Time: Dusk

The desert air cooled as the environment darkened into night. The cooler air made a young slave girl shiver. The girl watched as her fellow slaves were bought and sold to the rich customers that flocked the sale. Some lower class dealers and shop keepers even bought slaves. The girl heard an all too familiar crying, a family was being torn. She looked away, tears slipping down her cheeks, but this was the life of a slave, there was no such thing as family. She shivered as a particularly chilly breeze blew through the tents. Once evening came, she was dragged back to the holding pens with the other slaves. The girl fell into an uneasy sleep.

The next day, the sale was set up again. "Bring #24061 towards the front, she is more valuable." Her master called out to the handlers.
"You got it, Boss!" A handler grabbed her, roughly pulling her up and tightening her bonds. #24061 gave an involuntary gasp as her collar was tightened. The handler smacked her across her back with the handle of his whip, making her whimper in pain. "Move it, Slave." The scar on her back throbbed as she was sat down in the front of the tent, directly in the hot sun. Shaking, she took a deep breath as she steeled herself for the day. Keeping her head low, she waited for her new master. She would be sold, she knew it.
She was property after all, a slave.

Jason Fleming caught sight of the slave, a poor creature that had not even been deemed a name. Still she had value and with some cleaning would be of use to Nor' baal Desajilic. He was all ways one that liked fine things and a pretty human like her was hard to come by. Stepping forward he waited for the first bet, Yes she would be a great gift for the slug, maybe she would dance for him maybe he would eat her.

saratin Kas was briskly walking by when the slave girl was pulled from her tent. her face, void of hope engraved on his brain as he quickly glanced at her as he rushed, immediately his conscience was nagging at him to save the girl from slavery he argued back that saving one girl would do nothing, but it kept nagging him so he gave in and waited for auction to begin.

Kaza O'Bizzark had landed on the planet with a set objective in his mind; find parts for his droids. Sure he could have gotten people to do it for him but he found a special joy in going to collect the parts himself. It reminded him of his bounty hunter days, getting his hands dirty with mindless grunt work. But it was different this time because he had his "companion" Pierce to accompany him. Pierce was a loyal slave and Kaza could always trust him to carry out commands. Pierce followed behind Kaza as they made their way to the marketplace.

He began rooting through the various bins of droid parts and listening to the shouting vendors who wanted to sell their wares when Pierce coughed to get his attention. Kaza didn't turn around. "What is it Pierce?" The human coughed again, meaning he wanted Kaza to look at something. "Master," Pierce spoke quietly and carefully. "I would like to ask, a favor of you." Kaza's eyes went wide and he had to turn to see if Pierce was serious. "Well you've got my attention." Pierce pointed to a small tent pitched near the street where a small crowd had gathered. It was a slave tent. And the item up for auction looked like a sickly human. She was malnourished, weak, and appeared to be blind. Kaza looked between Pierce and the tent a few times before realizing what he was going to ask. "You can't be serious," Pierce didn't seem to budge. "You are serious." Kaza was amazed.

"We'll see. I promise you nothing." Kaza didn't know why he was indulging Pierce's request but he was a little curious about why his slave would want a companion. He didn't have a huge work load and he handled all his work with diligence and precision. But Kaza managed to find a place in the crowd and wait for the auction to begin.

With a raised hand, the girl's master started the sale. "Ladies and Gentlemen," The Trandosian announced, "here we have a fine specimen of a young female. Quiet, quick, and well trained, she is the perfect house servant for anyone. Of course, how you use her is up to you fine folks." He looked at her with a sneer. She had better sell, or it would not go well for her. Honestly, he didn't see a profit from the girl, to him, she'd be better off dead. "Come one folks, she won't bite, she doesn't even bark." The crowd chuckled at his joke. "So who will start the betting at 1,000?" A Nautolaun raised his hand, starting the clamor.

#24061 glanced at the crowd around the tent. Different alien species had flocked to this one spot, all for on reason; to buy slaves. The sun beat down on her back and shoulders, making her pant a bit with thirst. When was the last time she ate or drank anything? She wasn't sure, but it didn't matter. Catching her master's sneer. she shuddered with fear. If she didn't sell, he would beat and shock her. In fact, he might even kill her. With a low sigh, she resigned herself to what ever fate would befall on her. Looking downwards, she allowed her shoulders and back to rest, placing her weight against the collar and the bindings she wore. This made more difficult to breathe, but she was used to making such sacrifices. After a few moments, she pulled herself up, drawing a shallow breath.

Kaza was a little taken back by the starting bid. Such a pitiful looking creature was worth less than that. But he knew business and he knew about making a profit. He was about to cast his bid when he saw the human throw his hand in the air and call out his bid. This got Kaza's attention, and not in a good way. His pocket was deep, both from his Senatorial position and his main source of income back on Trandosha. If someone really saw the slave as having a 6,000 credit value, Kaza was sure to take interest.

"Please Master," Pierce begged. "I'll take care of her, she'll be a good worker just like me." Kaza sighed to himself, thinking what the men under his command would think of him for listening to his slave's opinion and actually considering it. Then he shook his head. "10,000 credits!" He called out to the auctioneer. He must have been crazy for doing this, but he trusted Pierce's judgement.

The girl shook as the price went higher and higher. Who would buy her...?
"Sold, to the Trandosian with the human slave! @Caligula The girl was hauled to her feet, the controls of the collar given to her new master. She was given a jolt to remind her of her place. She lowered her head and bowed as best as she could.
(OOC: Keep in mind, she is going to be taken out of the slave life by the Jedi)

kas turners his head towards Kaza and locks his eyes with bright yellow eyes of the Trandosian and pulls out his comlink and speaks into it "Ivan, I'm going to need a favor, a pretty big one" he slides his comlink back into his pocket and without pause with brisk confident walk, he walk up to the Trandosian and said "hey, yellow eyes, how much for the girl? I'm willing to pay you double what you bought her for"

Kaza usually felt pride or relief whenever he won something, but this time it only felt bitter. He had made a poor purchase, he knew this the moment he received the controls to the slave's collar and watched as the pitiful creature bowed to him. He exchanged a few words with the original owner concerning any special medical conditions the slave would need; nothing's worse than buying a slave with fragile health. The owner shook his head and Kaza nodded, turning to take his leave of the dust bowl. But then something caught his eye. The human who had put up the initial bid was looking directly at him. After some words into a comlink, the human made a beeline for Kaza. After his proposal, Kaza squinted and turned his head to the side. "Why's she worth so much?" He waved a hand over her to help prove his point. "She's weak as it is, and for 20,000 credits you could buy a better one."

While Kaza tried to deal with the human, Pierce dug around his pockets and fished out a small piece of bread which had been part of his breakfast that morning. He carefully handed it towards the girl. "I bet you're hungry. Please, take it." Pierce was a kind soul, and though he wasn't bitter about his situation, he disliked the mistreatment of others. He didn't know why he had asked Kaza to purchase the girl, but he'd follow through on his word to take care of her.

The girl looked at her fellow slave in amazement before taking the bread. "Thank...you..." She whispered through the tight collar. she slowly chewed on the bread, nervous.

Jason walked up to the people who had in his opion over payed for a slave. Still she was pretty.

I am not going to over a crazy amount of money for her. No i will pay the value you payed and then offer somthing no one here could ever do. A private meeting with Nor'baal Desajilic the Hutt. I will even let you over her as the gift. We both gain from this. You get money, i get a favour for arranging the meeting you get a contact with the Desajilic gange. The only gang activr in the outer rim, sith space and republic. A very useful ally to have.

The question of credits over favors was an interesting one. Kaza always liked having credits, but sometimes favors were far more valuable. "I don't know you. Therefore, what favor could you possibly provide me with?" When another member of the crowd had interrupted them, Kaza turned his attention to the human. "I have already had the pleasure of meeting Nor'baal the Hutt. We're business partners already. But perhaps we can do business in another sense? I was just about to speak to this fellow," He nodded towards the first human (Saratin), "He claims he can do me a favor in exchange for the girl. Perhaps you can offer something better." He motioned his hand in the direction of a rather famous cantina. He was interested in what the strangers could provide, especially considering how much they both wanted this slave girl. "Let us talk inside. I need a good drink." The four of them began walking over to the cantina, Pierce supporting the girl as they went.

He was glad that the girl had taken the food. She needed whatever strength she could manage. Pierce had promised his master that the girl would be a hard worker, and he intended to follow through. "Come on," He extended a friendly hand towards her. "We'll help you get better. If there's one thing Master knows, it's food. He'll feed you right and treat you decently, as long as you work hard in return." Then he realized that he had yet to introduce himself. "My name is Pierce by the way. What's your's?"

They entered the cantina and found a table in the back corner, where Kaza could watch all the entrances. He always expected trouble so he was carrying his blaster pistol under his cloak and had a spare one for Pierce should the need arise. Then again, Kaza could easily beat someone with just his fists if need be. He sat down, Pierce on one side and the girl on the other, with the strangers taking their seats across from him. "So," Kaza began with a smile, his voice hissing with each S. "Which of you wants to go first?"

"I...have no name." The girl said to Pierce. She followed her Master, fellow slave, and the others to the bar. The smell made her gag a bit.

"well I'll start first, the names Saratin Kas, I was a private detective on coruscant until an unfortunate event lead me to leave the planet, but before that, I managed to get several arrests of criminals and found a few people who didn't want to be found, maybe you heard of that past me, my senator. but since then I've been drifting from planet doing jobs while I'm on planet , so I've made quite a fair few of friends and contacts, ask around the market, hey even ask the bartender, I follow the agreement to the T. I've also got nice little party trick, pass me something you have used last in the six hours" holds out his right palm outstretched, waiting for you to give him something

The man do look familiar. Though from why he could not say for now.

Noding his head to the idea of heading inside. And over heard the slave was nameless. Was she from a spice mine or something.

The canteen was full but a exchange of some credits and the 5 of them where ushered in to a VIP booth. Looking at the man Jason placed his order. "Side winder alley"

Taking a seat Jason looked the girl over. She would be pretty all cleaned up. She would need a medical too. But ignoring her he turnerd to business at hand.

"I work on corrsunt i have access to all levels and can smuggle any one or thing off planet, kill any one on planet or just deal with any issue there. And for a favour will work any where but Naboo."

Kaza's smile disappeared. One of them was a PI and the other seemed to be full of himself. Both were from Coruscant and both appeared to have some dark pasts. Kaza began to wonder if they were secretly a team. They did seem to know each other because of the Hutt. Of course he'd be mixed up in some nonsense because of that slug. "Listen gentlemen," he started quietly and calmly, waving away the extended hand. "I don't know why you both want this girl. But that's not any of my concern. The problem comes from you two. Who wants her more?" Kaza decided he would at least try to enjoy himself. Maybe they'd fight over her. Maybe they'd have a peaceful talk about it. Either way, Kaza didn't care. He looked down at the girl and starred at her for a few minutes. He was trying to see what they saw in her. What secret value did she hold?

Pierce remained quiet while in the cantina. Business was being conducted and he wasn't suppose to speak until spoken too. He kept his head down and starred at a point on the table.

The girl eyes Pierce, following his example. She looked at the decorations around the bar. They seemed to have taste, but it was the patrons that made her nervous. One gave a strange look and she ducked down. She could hear the patron coming closer, but what for? The man smelled very drunk and like he smoked a very strong deathstick.
"You free?" The man slurred.
