A Padawan Holiday

[Rokuro Kita]

Rokuro was buzzing for the holiday he was going to have. After the success of their pirate mission, the Jedi were offering them time off to go either exploring the galaxy or taking a time to be normal teens and to take a break from the many responsibilities they had to do. Rokuro was so happy to get a big break from the padawan role to go on holiday with his friend! He had kind of pressured her into taking him to Corellia due to her speaking so highly of the beaches and weather that they had. It sounded like the perfect environment for him. He would be able to sun bathe and swim in the vast ocean.

So he had gotten up super early and got himself quickly ready into a vest top and shorts to prepare for the sun. He had packed all the essentials for his trip, suncream, inflatables, a camera to take hundreds of photo's with. A datapad incase he got any messages from his master while he was away and a fresh set of shorts and another vest just incase he needed another set of clothing. He had packed all of his credits tat he had saved over the years so he could treat Tamara for food and various other things they may of needed.

He was so excited and early that he even decided to prep the ship, making sure the coordinates were right and checking the ships fuel and maintenance systems. He even took it upon himself to fly themselves there as he was super excited for the awesome holiday he had in mind to take place. Once had sucsessfully landed, he ran out into the sunshine taking in all the rays of gold

"C'mon, I can't wait!"

"Wait for me outside! I'll be there in a minute!"

Tamara yelled from her room on the ship. She was getting dressed into some beachwear, which was just a white crop top and some short, because she head no real bikini, and her cousin (@Rae Anne Jarrus )wasn't around to borrow her one. Once she was done she grabbed a towel, opened up her door and walked down the ship to the waiting Rokuro. The landing pad they chose was close to the beach, so a quick walk through the Blue Sky district and then they'll be swimming in the ocean. Everyone else was barefoot, wearing bright colors and the city was busy. Children were getting ice cream at nearby shops, some could be seen in the distance swimming in the ocean and running around on the beach and speeders hovered by over the sandy streets.

She loved Corellia, and also loved the excitement her companion had. It was odd for her to be going along with a padawan she had only met two days ago, and especially a boy, a boy she crushed heavily on. She was glad Cain (@Algarus) was nowhere in sight, he had an issue with boys being so much as near her.

"So um... there's an ice cream shop down this way... "

 

[Rokuro Kita]

"So um... there's an ice cream shop down this way... "

"That sounds like a plan then, ill treat you to one!"

He started to walk towards the ice cream ship with a slight bounce in his step, he was genuinely excited to be there. He quickly grabbed a bunch of credits out of his bag and his camera so he could take photo's of everything. He was acting like a token tourist, taking photo's of everything, the sky, the sea and the views he had. He was planning to keep them all and to post them all on his walls. They were rather bare and he thought he might as well decorate them with happy memories instead of just nothing. He finally made it to the ice cream shop and he turned to face Tamara, just to see if she had caught up with a big grin on his face.

"C'mon slowcoach!"

He quickly hopped in the queue for ice creams and he politely waited unable to keep still. He was so excited and he was finally here! He could relax and unwind which was the best part. He finally was able to reach the server after what seemed like forever but it was probably just five minutes.

"Hello sir! What would you like?" The server asked him politely

"Ermm, Ill take a vanilla one! What would you like Tamara?"

Taylor's dad had yet gone off on another business call, so she was sent to Corellia for the next few weeks to spend with her Uncle Adun, Aunt Rayla and cousins. The only sad thing was, was that his call in was so sudden and serious, that her father had told her to go ahead and fly out to Corellia and just explain to them when she got there. So Taylor said her farewells to her father before he went one way and then she packed up heading another way. Taylor wasn't sure what she would do while she was there, so she grabbed three different bikinis, a one piece and enough clothes for a few weeks before heading off.

Once Taylor had arrived at Corellia, the ship her father lent to her landed and she decided that before surprising her uncle and cousins, she would head to the beach and let her troubles and stress settle on the waves and breeze that came from the deep blue sea. So Taylor slipped on her favorite bikini, which was a red bikini which complimented her complexion.

She also wore a pair of red sandals and brought a backpack to put her towel into, along with extra sunscreen. After she was changed, she walked to the shore line and meditated for a few minutes before her stomach growled, breaking her concentration. She looked around for somewhere to eat and found an ice cream shop not fr from where she was sitting. She was lucky she had been earning credits when she was old enough to start working because if she hadn't, she would not have money for any food at all.

Standing up, she gathered up her towel, putting it back into her back pack before walking over to the ice cream shop. When she got into line, she pulled out her holophone while she was waiting. Yes it was unusual to see a Togruta in line for something sweet, but if it was chocolate, sweet and cold, Taylor had to have it. She then sensed a sense of familiarity and looked up to find her cousin Tamara right in front of her. What a coincidence. Two cousins in the same place, but most likely with different reasons. Taylor didn't know how to talk to Tamara even though they were usually pretty chatty around each other except for the fact that she was mainly speechless upon seeing her with a boy.

She just decided to stay quiet and keep her nose in her phone and pretend that she had never seen Tamara and didn't even notice that she was standing behind her.

 

[Algarus]

Go to the beach without so much as an invintation, huh, sis? Cain thought bitterly, as he slowly naviagted the streets. He could feel his sister nearby, but he could tell where.
"Hey watch it!"
A passerby shouted as Cain nearly bumped into someone; due to the concentration he was have to spend tracking his sister. This was one of the strange side effects of having force sensative twins, they could track one another, even when they attempted to conceal themselves the two could still sense one another. Cain had also read that familys of force sensatives had a similar connection, but for some reason he couldn't feel the same effect between his dad and mom. The young padawan would seem out of place, wearing his favorite black hoodie and jeans. He didnt want to go to the beach anyway, but it wasn't like Tamara to just leave without telling him where she was going. As he passed by an ice cream shop, he felt another familiar presence; his cousin Taylor. This one too seemed to be in the same vacinity as his sister's. Cain cound that odd, as his cousin wasnt suppose to be on world right now....not that he could remember. The small pulses that were guiding the young man to his twin were now throbbing like mad. With nothing better to do, Cain would enter, keeping his hoodie over his head to hide his face. All right.....what are you two up to?

 

[Tristyn]

"Ermm, I'll take a vanilla one! What would you like Tamara?"

"Chocolate. Um... chocolite please" Tamara replied smiling at him. While she waited she could feel a tingle through the Force. She decided to ignore it and rather focus on the matter at hand. Once she received her ice cream she smiled and said her thanks. She walked out of the line and made her way down the street with Rokuro. She wasn't to sure of what to say so she just awkwardly licked her ice cream and watched all the passerbys.

"So... have you been to the beach before? Like after you left Nar Shaddaa?"

 

[Rokuro Kita]

"Chocolate. Um... chocolite please"

Rokuro smiled when he heard Tamara awkwardly announce her flavour of ice cream. He passed the credits to the server and offered them a little extra as he felt like the poor soul would have a hard enough day. He walked down the street near the sea as he licked his ice cream. He could feel force precenses but he didn't know who's or where. He just knew it was close but he couldn't pinpoint it on anyone. He shoved it to the back of his mind as he continued to walk as he admired the waves and the beauty of the sun.

"So... have you been to the beach before? Like after you left Nar Shaddaa?"

"Ermmm, no not really. Tython has nothing that compares to this! After our ice creams, want to go for a swim?"

Taylor looked up nervously at Tamara until another ice cream man said that he could take her order so she walked up to place her order. "What can I get you today young lady?" he asked. Taylor took a second before responding. "I would like the mint chocolate chip please." she said politely. He smiled with a nod and went back putting in the order and grabbing it for her. Once he handed it to her, she handed over the money with a tip for his kindness and then started to leave until she sensed another force presence that she knew all too well. It was Cain.

She looked over, seeing him, but didn't know if he was with Tamara or not. So she just continued on with her ice cream as she kept walking out to the beach setting her towel back out. "Such a coincidence to run into both of them while I'm here..." she said under her breath as she ate her ice cream.

 

[Algarus]

Cain spotted his cousin and sister the moment he entered the building. He began to approach the, curious as to why the two of them had run off without him as Taylor began to move towards him, Cain moved out of her view to avoid detection. Now what was going on? With Taylor now gone, that left only Tamara and....a boy? Cain's eyes narrowed as he studyed boy that seemed to be honed in on his sister. You little no good kaith hound.... Now it all made sense. She was sneaking out to be with her boy friend. Cain was not amused in the slightest, as he would approach the two, his eyes locked on the stranger with his sister. Once he would reach them, Cain would speak to his sister. "Hey sis, whats up?"

 

[Tristyn]

Tamara froze and her face turned white, all while mentally kicking herself. She wasn't gonna hear the end of what her brother was going to say. Even though she had never had a boyfriend, Cain was very sceptical of any boys that talked to her. She sighed and slowly turned around with a fake smile on her face.

"Oh hey bro....I'm doing just fine... just having some ice cream you know?" She let out an exaggerated giggle. Cain decided to join them at the worst time. She even forgot what Rokuro had said.

 

[Cheshire]

"Hey sis, whats up?"

Rokuro was met with the angry stare of a boy that clearly did not like him, so this was the brother Tamara had talked about. His face said it all, Cain really didn't want Rokuro anywhere near Tamara at all. He had heard that force sensitive brother's and sisters had the potential to feel each other in the force so that's how he had found them. That was smart he had to admit, he however was also worried at Tamara's reaction due to her brother finding them. Did he not approve of boys near Tamara?

"Oh hey bro....I'm doing just fine... just having some ice cream you know?

"Hello!"

He was trying to remain as calm as possible as his blue eyes playfully stared straight back into Cain's

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Taylor was just finishing up her ice cream. For her, it didn't matter, ice cream was ice cream and with her it was usually gone in not a very long time. As she finished up, she heard familiar voices and decided to make her way towards them, next finding Tamara, Cain and another guy. She knew how Cain was when it came to boys and Tamara. She could sense the anger coming from him just standing ten to fifteen feet away from them.

Taylor was unsure how to walk up, so she just watched everything unfold until she found the right time to but in.

 

[Algarus]

"Oh hey bro....I'm doing just fine... just having some ice cream you know?"
"Hello!"
Cain shot a glare over to the stranger. "I'll get to you in a minute."
With that he looked back at his sister. "Really now? It looks like your having ice cream with your boyfriend to me, but if you say so....."
He hated seeing Tamara being around boys, he knew exactly how they were. He knew it wouldn't matter what he said, she wouldn't listen to him anyway, but he could make his point clear. Jedi were technically banned on Corellia, so chucking the boy half way across the room wasn't an option. Cain would lean towards the strange boy and leer at him. He wasn't about to let some pretty boy come by and try to snatch his sister from him. "If you try anything with my sister I'll know. And you will regret it."

 

[Tristyn]

Tamara growled a bit at her brother and gave him an irritated look,"He's not my boyfriend! He's just a friend... um... he's a padawan like us... but so what!? Why do you care!?"

Watching her brother threatening Rokuro, Tamara could only close her eyes and wait for it to end. Cain had told he to be careful around boys hundreds of times already, and this is one of the reasons she has never been out with one, or even talked to one at school. Cain was always lurking around somewhere, and even if he wasn't around to see what she was doing, he found very quickly.

 

[Rokuro Kita]

"He's not my boyfriend! He's just a friend... um... he's a padawan like us... but so what!? Why do you care!?"

"Believe it or not, that's none of my concern. We were granted a holiday after our pirate stopping mission."

He crossed his arms and sighed when Cain seriously almost blowing up. He could practically feel the waves of anger radiating off of Cain. However if anyone was noticing, they could feel Rokuro slowly getting irritated, pissed off to say the least. This Idiot was ruining the well earned and deserved break cause he was too stupid to realise that he wasn't dating Tamara. Yeah she was pretty but they were just friends...

"If you try anything with my sister I'll know. And you will regret it."

"Oh really intimidating, I'm soo scared. I've seen better threats from younglings. And what is it your right for who she talks to?"

He stared straight at Cain finally reaching his anger level as he gave a small smile. It was a smile that he used when he got annoyed to try and show he wasn't. He stared straight at Cain, the once playful eyes now frostily and hardened

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Taylor watched as the trail of events folded out into play and saw as things started getting bad. It was time to slip on the sass and mother mode. Cain was already past irritated if not, boiling and Tamara's friend was getting the same way as Cain and between men and boys, things got ugly quickly.

She waked forward, crossing her arm over her chest and looked between the three of them before she started talking. "Ladies. Come on and break it up. I swear if you two don't stop it, I'm throwing you two into the ocean." she said calmly, but still with a little bit of sass.

Tamara and Cain would probably be shocked to see her there so she started and if any questions were asked, he would just explain further. "I get it. You two are probably wondering why I'm here. Ask if you want, but if you do, this better end first." she said pointing her fingers between Cain and Rokuro. Taylor wasn't having any of it. Especially with how quickly everything had gone so far.

 

[Algarus]

"Oh really intimidating, I'm soo scared. I've seen better threats from younglings. And what is it your right for who she talks to?"
Cain's eyes locked onto the man as he gripped the table they were sitting at. His hand slipped into his hoodie pocket as it wrapped around the hilt to his lightsaber. He wasn't going to kill the boy, but a few good wacks with the stun setting on max would make him think twice about talking back. Rules or not he had to get even somehow.
"Oh...they wouldn't have enough Kolto to fix what I'm going to do to you..."
"Ladies. Come on and break it up. I swear if you two don't stop it, I'm throwing you two into the ocean."
Cain releases his grip on his weapon an turns to met his cousin. He was a little surprised to see her return, he had thought she would be leaving them.
"Rae I thought-"
"I get it. You two are probably wondering why I'm here. Ask if you want, but if you do, this better end first."
Cain snarls at first before stopping. He looks back towards Tamara's boyfriend and huffs. He crosses his arms in disapproval, and begins to storm out. He wouldn't admit it, but part of his foul temper was his belief that his sister and cousin were had excluding him from their little trip. He was acting mostly out of jealously than anything else but he wouldn't dare let his sister know that. Unless anyone stopped him, he would storm out of the shop, doing his best to conceal the hurt he was currently feeling. "Forget it, this isn't worth my time."

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

When Cain had started to talk, she had stopped him, but when he stopped, he looked ticked off. Not that he wasn't already, but he was definitely in a pissy mood and Taylor had a feeling that she was part of that reason. When he sighed crossed his arms and then started to walk off, Taylor was right behind him and stepped swiftly in front of him before he reached the door.

"Cain, it's not what you think. One, there was no other way to get you two to stop fighting and two, I'm not here on vacation. I kinda had no choice and had no time to contact your parents before I came. I'm only on the beach because I had come for ice cream and I needed to relieve stress. I was forced to come here. I should have been with my dad right now at a birthday party that should have been spent with my father four months ago, but I couldn't because he wasn't there." she said, her voice cracking slightly as she spoke. "And yet again, he's not here." she whispered.

Her icy blue eyes filled with tears as she then walked over to an empty table and laid her head down, before covering her face. She had never cried in front of Tamara or Cain or in front of anyone for that fact. And for another fact, they always saw the bright and bubbly Taylor more than when she was sad.

 

[Rokuro Kita]

Rokuro felt the anger slowly dissolve into nothingness when Taylor had stepped in-front of Cain, stopping him from leaving. The once frost and cold eyes that he had disappeared and his normal blue playful one's had returned. He felt bad for what he said to Cain, it was a heat of the moment thing. He should of never of said it in the first place, it wasn't in his right to say anything yet he had. He wanted to apologise but he didn't know how. It was uncommon for him to even snap at someone like that ever and he knew Tamara wouldn't of approved of what he had said. So he guiltily looked at the table when Taylor offered to explain things.

When he finally looked up, he noticed that Taylor was either close to tears or was crying when she had explained that her father hadn't spent time with her at all and was too busy to care. He felt terrible, he had caused it and yet was doing nothing about it. He knew he couldn't exactly say he was sorry in-front of her. It wouldn't of seemed right.

"I....I'm sorry..... I'll be back in a minute... just going to get some air." he said, voice wavering between a mumble and proper speech as he quickly got out of his chair as he squeezed by Cain and ran out onto the busy beach. He had left his bag, which still had the camera full of happy memories and all his possessions so the others would know he was coming back

He felt horrible for what he did as he quickly turned and jogged to his ship as he replayed everything that had happened. He was the catalyst that had caused it all. He thought about that on the way there and how Tamara probably thought bad about him for saying that to her brother. He sighed as he reached the ship as he quickly walked inside, he had stuff to collect. He collected a few bits and bobs, stuffing them in a small carrier bag. It ranged from water guns to drinks ranging from a causal soft drink or whiskey which he had acquired through another Padawan. He quickly jogged back to the ice cream shop as he thought about the best way to apologise to them. As he neared the shop, he took a large breath of air before walking back inside. He looked sheepish and ashamed about what he had done and he hoped that everyone else had noticed.

"I'm sorry for what I said, I shouldn't of said it but I did and it wasn't right. I hope you can forgive me..."

he addressed that to specifically Cain and Taylor but he did make it known to Tamara as he sat back down on his chair, ashamed and stupid as he awaited the reaction of the others

 

[Tristyn]

Tamara sighed and dropped her head as everything began to collapse around her. Today was supposed to be a day off from all the Jedi business and finally get a chance to hang out without a friend, and better yet, a boy. That all went to hell so quickly when Cain showed up, and for a change even her cousin kind of made the situation worse. It wasn't Taylor's fault, and Tamara understood that, but surely she was used to it by now. Why can't we all just get along and relax? She thought to herself. They were at the beach after all.

As Rokuro left Tamara banged her head on the table they were at and covered her head with her arms in frustration. Cain was not just a party pooper or a wet blanket sometimes, but today he was especially bad. One boy talks to me, and now he shows up and ruins it all.

She lifts her head up, her face looks just as tearful as her cousin's, and yells at her brother,"Could you really not resist bugging me for one day!! I never have any friends because of you! You keep scaring everyone off!"
