Gil wasn't quite used to life in a fancy office yet. Luckily he hadn't spent much time here since his recent promotion to Vice President. The office resided on the top floor of the impressive tower that had become the corporate headquarters of their company. Gil thumbed through some papers on his desk, various reports of ongoing projects he needed to keep up to date with. Everything was going quite well for the company, they were branching out in multiple directions.

"Sir, your 4'o clock is here to see you." the voice quietly chimed in over the comm system. "You can send her in, thanks." he responded to his assistant who would usher the woman inside.

It had not taken long for the woman's request to be filtered up to the chain of command and wind up on his desk. He was actually quite curious to hear what the woman said.

Gil stood as the doors opened, he was wearing a slim dark blue suit that was fit perfectly. In all honesty, he hated it but it was important to give off some level of professional appearance. He was no longer the guy in the back of the room, even if that's where he wanted to be.

He stepped in front of the desk to greet the woman. "Lady Feyre. Its a pleasure." he said with a slight bow. It was enough to be polite but not enough to show he would be bullied by someone with a fancy title. "Please, have a seat he said gesturing to the chair in front of the desk. Can I get you anything? he asked before moving back to his own chair behind the desk.

"What can I do for you?" he asked as he took his seat again.

Rohana entered with little delay; she had waited for this meeting for some time now. who would have thought acquiring a lightsaber would be so time consuming. Then again, the saber had been the weapon of choice for many force users, both past and present. Centuries ago, it was wielded by knights of the noble Jedi Order. Sadly, their legacy had all but faded into memory. Now, whenever people thought of lightsabers, only Sith came to mind. Rohana hoped to change. She actually hoped to change a lot of things and acquiring a lightsaber would be the first step.

"Mr Rel, I presume? Charmed, I'm sure." She politely acknowledged him and his efforts in manners. This she could appreciate and even return in kind, courteously declining his offer of refreshments. There was only one thing she desired; hopefully, this man could provide it.

"As you are well aware, Mr Rel, I am searching for a particular item. Your company came highly recommended," She recalled their reputation briefly as well as the number of reviews given to the company's name, "I hope you don't disappoint."

She was willing to invest an extortionate amount of money, providing this endeavour proved fruitful. "I wish to obtain a lightsaber. Failing this, lightsaber components would also be deemed acceptable."

It was no small feat, the request being made. The lightsaber wasn't exactly a widely available weapon, and for good reason; in the right hands, it could be extremely dangerous. There were also numerous mysteries and rumours surrounding the inner workings of the device. Instead of a power cell or energy battery, sabers were apparently charged by a crystal of some sorts. The actual making of a saber was closely guarded art, with only Sith being the ones to practice it. Even if the saber was a reclaimed piece from a battle, or a relic, she'd happily take it.

In the end, it would only take her closer to her ultimate goal; to becoming a Jedi.

He lowed himself down into the big chair behind his desk, crossing one leg over the other as the woman began to explain what she was looking for. There was no company the manufactured lightsabers. There wasn't enough demand for the incredible niche weapon and they were highly illegal to own in most places.

He thought for a moment, tapping a finger on his desk before speaking. "I have some contacts that may be able to assist you in your search." he finally said. The company itself couldn't do much to help the woman locate one of the ancient weapons, but Gil had plenty of contacts that dealt in illegal goods, some even in ancient relics.

"It won't be cheap to track one of these down..." he said in warning. These things went for huge money, though she could always steal one if she was determined enough. Gil knew where she might obtain one that way as well. "But I am sure we could find you something."

"Lightsaber components... he said wavering his hand "that might be easier, though I have never seen the insides of one of the weapons. Do you have a list of components would need?" he asked, his bright green eyes settling on her.

He didn't know much about lightsabers but knew they used some type of special channeling crystal. Unless she was planning on stealing one of those from the Jedi or Sith, he wasn't sure where to find those.

Rohana quickly dismissed any concerns of finance, "Money is no object, I can assure you of that."
She may have entered a self imposed exile, but she still had access to some moderate funds. Whilst other nobles squandered their wealth, House Feyre carefully cultivated it. Officially, Rohana's step mother managed the family affairs, and thus, allowed her wayward step-daughter a degree of funding. Now was the time to put that money to use. Having already acquired a small freighter vessel, Rohana was free to travel. It was the most luxurious space craft but it did the job she needed.

One thing was certain, the lady would surrender every credit to her name, so long as she could obtain this most desired of prizes.

When Gil first began talking of outsourcing the search, Rohana stiffened with doubt. Realistically, this was an extensive request; nothing about it would be easy. Hopefully though it would all be worth the end result. Truth be told, Rohana understood very little herself when it came to lightsaber construction. The information she had collected was only speculative at best; hypothetically assumptions really. More than likely, this would be a trial and error process,

Deciding it was best to split her chances, Rohana recalled some of the weapon's features. She wanted to see if their Gil fellow knew any facets of engineering. "I believe the most important component is the power assembly unit; it is comprised of a power cell, field conductor and vortex ring. Course, there are other features to consider as well."

With that, she produced a small scale data pad, one specifically filled with her own notes and considerations. It covered such features as the emitter and circuitry. Such research had taken her months to collect; it was all a steep learning curb. Prior to this, Rohana had little knowledge of such things. Now she devoted herself to the study and construction of this weapon.

There would be one final missing piece however. One key feature that Gil would no doubt struggle to acquire; the crystal. Sources stated it was of great importance, the very thing that gave the saber its light. But these types of gems were not easily obtained. Rohana would have to look elsewhere for that - a fact which she had already accepted.

"I trust, Mr. Rel, that you will manage this with the upmost...discretion."

He smiled as she quickly dismissed the cost of the endeavor. "While that is good to hear, I would caution you from showing your hand so easily." he said as he rested his hands in his lap. "A more dishonest businessman might see that as an opportunity to take advantage of someone." he said leaning forward slightly.

The company made its money from mass producing and selling weapons. This wasn't about money for him, the connection with a wealthy noble could come in handy. He hadn't done any digging on her, but it never hurt to have friends. Besides, there was a part of him that liked going on the hunt for items.

He listened as she explains some of the parts she thought she might need. It seemed like an incomplete list. She didn't seem like she knew exactly what she needed, again this was a fact someone could use to take advantage of her but he moved past it. "I don't know if we would find those parts here in the core. Lightsabers were extremely illegal in Imperial space, and I doubt anyone is eager to carry the things around now that this is a Mandalorian controlled world.

"I assure you that confidentiality is one of the things we value most here. he said meeting her eyes again. "And if we are going to do business together, please call me Gil. Hearing "Mr. Rel." makes my ears twitch." he said with a pleasant smile.

"We will likely need to make a trip out to the Rim to get search for the item you seek." he said. "I can go for you, or we can go together, that is up to you." he said. Her going with him would ensure he didn't have to spend the time and energy on multiple trips but if she was paying it was ultimately up tp her.

"Truth be told, Mr. Rel, I'm not fond of games." The lack of amusement in her eyes said as much. "I'm 'showing my hand' so that we can bypass all this trivial talk. When beating around the bush, all that is wasted in time; both yours and, more importantly, mine."

Rohana had a natural, chilly disposition. Never had it showed more clearly than in this moment. If Gil was a wise man, he'd heed her words and move off the topic. She didn't need to be humoured, she needed to be provided a service; otherwise, she'd take her business elsewhere.

But the lady seemed to collect herself once more, even taking a moment to consider a sudden thought. "But I must say, your honesty is a refreshing change of pace." An attempt at a smile might have been seen, "I even commend you for it."

With that, the discussion continued. Gil raised some valid points, though nothing Rohana didn't already know. But she was desperate to acquire this object; it would become a fixture of her future role. Long ears didn't need to tell her about the difficulties ahead, he needed to aid her in overcoming them. An attempt to made to mask her growing doubt. "You sound as if you're about to disappoint, Gil. I hope I haven't come to wrong company."

The Empire was a continuous thorn in Rohana's side; its influence and control always made things extremely tricky. If there was even a hint of suspicion, agents and Sith would rain upon her without mercy. Her life over in a moment, with her destiny left unfulfilled. Luckily, however, Gil offered one possible prospect.

"The Outer Rim?" She's rarely travelled to such territories; it made sense though. That wild part of space was virtually lawless. Anything and anyone could be acquired, given the right contacts and the even more right amount of credits. It sounded like the perfect fit for the pair of them.

"I would prefer we conduct this business together - I want to see what it is exactly I will be purchasing. Whether or not it will meet my standards. Besides...I'm not opposed to getting my hands a little dirty."

"Truth be told Ms. Feyre, I don't need your business. he said matching her chilly tone. "Perhaps you would be able to find a lightsaber on your own, but will likely sift through many people simply trying to scam you. he said meeting her gaze with a hard gaze of his own. He hadn't gotten this far by being pushed around by bratty noble women who thought a handful of credits and fancy title entitled them to something in this Galaxy.

He thought for a moment, deciding whether it would be better to just send her away. He was going to have to use his own contacts for this. Contacts from a life he wasn't sure he was ready to face again. Even so, the woman could have some use down the road. It was a gamble, but Gil had always been a gambler.

"You wanted honesty, so you're getting honesty. This may be a wild goose chase. Lightsabers are extremely rare and as I said, its difficult to sift through legitimate leads and those trying to lure rich nobles to steal their credits...or worse." he said meeting her eyes again. She didn't seem the type to be squeamish when it came to danger, though perhaps that was just a mask she wore.

"There is one person I know who may be able to help us. I will warn you now he is...eccentric." Gil said with slight hesitation. The correct word was probably crazy but he was one of the best collectors of rare artifacts Gil knew. "We can leave at once if you are ready?"

At that moment, Rohana decided she strongly disliked this BIT Vice president; such an impertinent man, speaking to her in a manner far above his actual station. If she was her usual intemperate self, she might have resorted to more forceful means. But such behaviour was brutish, unbecoming even. Indeed, Gil had the advantage in this game and he was more than willing to use it. If anything, Rohana begrudgingly respected such pragmatism, despite its current distasteful use against her.

One thing was certain, she wouldn't forget this. Most certainly not. For now, the lady backed down, taking time to fully consider Gil's words and comments.

With a ghost of a smile, she finally replied "Eccentric, you say? Mr. Gil, you've just described a good portion of the galaxy's gentry." She herself would know better than anyone; before her self-imposed exile, she had met a number of noble, some more unsavoury than others. Wealth was a key to many gateways, and often those who had it possessed less common sense because of it.

"I'm sure we'll manage." How bad could this contact possibly be?

Standing to ready herself, Rohana was understandably impatient. "Sonner rather than later is always best, in my humble opinion."

Somewhere in the Outer Rim, her saber was waiting. She could sense it in the force. Gil just had to put her on the right path to claiming it.

He returned her faint smile with one of his own. "You will see." he said not explaining himself further. They weren't going to some posh place, Nar Shaddaa was a dangerous place, one that acting entitled could get you shot and dumped in some back alley.

"Excellent," he said moving to stand and buttoning his jacket. "I am available to leave immediately. I will forward you my price, half is due when we meet on Nar Shaddaa, the other half after you have found what you are looking for," he said gesturing towards the door.

"My assistant will give you the coordinates for the spaceport where we can meet and go from there. he said as she left. Until next time, Lady Feyre." he said casually. He would wait until she was gone and prepare to depart.

*OOC: Sorry for the delay - you can wrap up in your next post and we can start the next thread*

"Nar Shaddaa?" Rohana had never visited that particular world, and from what she had heard, she wouldn't want to. It was a haven for the worst of the galaxy's scum; smugglers, pirates and bounty hunters. Even Mandalorians. Not the sort of company Rohana sought to keep. Hopefully, the pair will avoid such unsavory characters - but there would surely be an abundance. It was Nar Shaddaa after all. The planet practically bred cut-throats and rogues.

But there was no stopping this now; the chain of events was linking up rather nicely, soon everything would fall into place. First the saber, then the crystal and finally the Jedi. Rohana was so close, she could feel it. She'd simply have to bite her tongue and endure whatever unpleasantness there was to come. It would all be worth, in the long run.

With the meeting concluded, the pale lady rose gracefully, nodding in agreement to most of Gil's ramblings. She'd confirm with the assistant and await their next encounter. Why, she was practically giddy with excitement - a foreign feeling indeed.
