Rain rain go away. Come again another day. This was the tune the usually cheery Twi'lek would be singing on a night like this. Kae'Leigh Tameris loved the rain. She used to love playing in puddles and getting her pants all wet when splashing in them. She missed the days where her child-like nature could come out and not have to worry about who was watching her. Those days were but a memory now.

After a few weeks of joining the Galactic Alliance, the young, blue-skinned woman was looking to make a stand against the injustices in the verse. But she didn't really have the resources to do so. She'd only just signed on and it's not like she had any training or anything. Kae'Leigh could handle herself with a blaster and had proven to be quite good at it when the time was right. She was also starting to learn how to wield a lightsaber. That was taking more practice than she wanted to admit.

She was found by another Twi'lek who keyed in on her Force potential that she hadn't even known about until a few months ago. Apparently it's what kept her out of danger all her life and assisted in her extremely lucky pistol shots when using the aforementioned blaster. Her would-be master took her on a journey to Kashyyyk where they were both blessed with visions from the Life Tree. From then on her life changed forever. Kae'Leigh could no longer act like a child. It was time to grow up.

Technically she still took another month or so to accept this truth, but that was another story. Now she was determined to become a Jedi so she could save those in need and hopefully one day make a difference in someone's life. How she would do that she had no idea! Before she joined she had this grand vision in her head that she'd be out fighting laser sword battles and rescuing puppies from burning buildings. Well, she still ran at the first sound of a siren. It was instinct from all her years as being a slicer. The same skill that was needed today.

Kae'Leigh had not met the person who contacted her. She hadn't even heard from them directly. Word got passed through the grapevine that Kae'Leigh had skills in hacking into networks and the like and apparently someone out there needed her help with just that. The man who contacted Kae'Leigh explained the situation -as best as he was even told- and asked if Kae'Leigh would accept her duty. She of course obliged with no objection. Kae'Leigh picked a meet location and the man would tell his client to look out for a blue Twi'lek. Why did she feel so suddenly vulnerable by that statement? She had zero notion of who this mystery person was and no way to get ahold of them. That's how secrets were kept apparently. The less you know the better.

So why did Kae'Leigh know almost nothing? Perhaps it was for the best.

The place Kae'Leigh had chosen was a small diner overlooking a rail yard. It was well off the beaten path -so to speak- and not frequented often by tourists and such. Only locals and rail yard employees came to eat there. This made it for the perfect place for a drop. It also guaranteed everyone there would remember your face. Kae'Leigh especially wanted this as a measure of security. If anything happened to her, those who'd come looking would be able to find her assailant simply by showing a picture of her.

The other best part about this establishment was that there were only three walls. There was no entrance as the entire wall was open. This would give Kae'Leigh a perfect chance to escape if needed and not get tangled up in any electronic doors that might suddenly become jammed. She'd done that to someone once while running away. But today she wanted to make sure there would be nothing getting in her way if she needed to make a quick exit. She didn't know who to trust and the fact she was meeting as an agent against the Imperium was the most dangerous thing she'd ever done. Being a slicer was bad enough. But one only ended up in jail for a minor crime. The Sith would make sure she never saw the light of day again if she were caught as an Alliance supporter.

If only the air didn't smell so bad....

Kae'Leigh would come and sit in the middle of the small dinner so her back was to the wall and the opening in front of her. Whomever would be coming, Kae'Leigh would have to see them from the moment they walked in. She was wearing one of her favorite outfits which started with a short tank top that ended before her midriff. Over that was a long sleeve coat that had only two buttons in the middle, basically forcing the shirt to look tight and her chest to seem bigger. Her pants and boots were basic leather and had seen some miles. Around her waist was a standard utility belt which doubled as a holster for her R-5 blaster pistol. The lightsaber she'd borrowed from her mentor was stashed safely at home; she wouldn't be bringing that out into public until she knew she could take on the whole Empire single handed.

While she waited for her mystery client to show up she'd order herself a stiff drink to calm her nerves and a bowl of noodles. She promised her mentor not to waste too many of his credits on food. But she made a mental note to tally everything she'd spent while in his care. Perhaps she should get a real job...?

The server droid would bring her the dish of pasta and the blue-skinned Twi'lek would reply kindly, "Thank you very much."

"Will you be needing anything else?" it would ask as programmed to do.

"Not until my partner gets here...."

The rain made this already miserable place look even worse in the eyes of Freyja, Nar Shaddaa was a planet Freyja had been to before and if she had the choice she would have never returned to the giant planet-sized slum. It was full of the worse of her race and just aliens everywhere. Her time in the Alliance had not penetrated her great dislike of other species as much as some of her superiors would have liked, she smirked at the thought of Commander Ion on her space platform calling out her Xenophobic tendencies. It did make her smile.

Freyja wore a thick brown hood and jacket covering most of her body keeping her warm and dry as she walked through the dirty streets of the planet. She hoped this slicer was good, she had come a long way and risked a lot by coming into Imperial Space to get here, if the alien disappointed her she would regret it. Her contact had told her that the Twi'lek was alliance so she couldn't do anything physical to the creature but she could definitely but a few words out through the grapevine about how ineffectual the woman was.

Stepping out of the rain and into the dinner the alien had set as their meeting space Freyja flicked her hood back to reveal her dyed auburn hair and glasses, another of her little disguises. She spotted the blue Twi'lek in the corner a serving droid wheeling away.

"Droid, Whiskey." She said to the machine, which nodded and happily accepted the order. Freyja moved up behind the women a hand on her blaster. "Slicer?" She asked in a quiet voice.

It was almost no time at all that the blue skinned Twi'lek was waiting for her partner. The woman showed up just as the serving droid brought her the drink. Kae'Leigh eyed the woman immediately and tried to figure out if she was the one she needed to meet. She wore a long brown jacket though she'd just now put the hood down as she came inside. She didn't blame her for wanting to stay out of the rain, but she had a suspicion she'd kept it up until now to hide her identity. Kae'Leigh would have done the same if hr outfit had a hood. But she didn't mind getting wet. On this planet...she was used to it.

Now that the hood was off, Kae'Leigh could see her auburn hair, and glasses to cover her face. Hair was such a weird thing to the Twi'lek. It didn't exist anywhere else on their body, save for the males who grew it out of their chins. They styled them in all sorts of ways giving each human their own distinct look. But what purpose did hair really do for them? It wasn't like fur which kept them warm. If that were the case then they'd be covered in the stuff like any other animal. At least her lekku had a purpose: they helped her sense the world around her through vibrations. What did hair do except get caught in things?

Kae'Leigh's hand would already be inches away from her hip and when the woman started to go behind her she would grab the hilt of her blaster. She didn't like this. Why was she moving behind her? To pretend they weren't having this conversation...? Kae'Leigh didn't like it. She'd turn to her left to face the girl, but now her gun was on the opposite side and she'd have to reach around herself to get a good shot. Kriff! She should have turned the other way.

"Perhaps," she'd say to the girl after asking if she was a slicer. "You some sort of cop? Maybe an Imperial agent or something? Because I don't like those kinds of accusations." She would then give the girl a look over and then add, "Unless you maybe have some...galactic issues you might need accommodating?"
