"If there's a door, it leads somewhere. Better we give wherever th'at leaves a shot before we leave empty 'anded." He replied to the G'wenean's question. "If it ain't in tha first spot, we check tha second. Than tha third if th'at doesn't work. We ain't quittin' till we get what we came fer-- came to far already." He went on, walking down to the end of the hallway. Pulling out the card again, he’d swipe it, opening the door.
Before taking the final step out, he’d glance around the corner— checking for any cameras that might have been down the next hall. Looking along the ceiling, low and behold, he spotted the worst thing he could’ve imagined he’d find besides a security guard staring right at him. “Of karkin’ course.” He muttered to himself, turning around. “Ferget what Ai said. They’ve got a camera down tha ‘all. We’re leavin’.” He declared, turning on his heels to head back out. Functioning security was a guarantee that they’d be caught.
As he started walking back, the man would pause after just a few steps. Slowly, he shifted his attention back to the office supply closet. Walking in, he’d begin checking the shelves again, looking through old boxes. “C’mon…” he muttered, before a grin slipped across his face. “YES.” He triumphantly hissed, yanking out what he was looking for. “Change of plans!” He called, striding back into the hall.
Heading back to the doorway, Laeonas would point what was in his hand up at the ceiling a few times, clicking the button in quick succession. A light streamed out, a tiny green pinprick. There was no carbon scoring, no damage to the plaster— just light, harmless— if you didn’t point it in someone’s eye. Leaning out, he made sure his face was obscure— and than pointed and clicked with the laser, hitting the camera dead on. He held it for a few seconds, motioning for Senin to come out and join him.
“We’re all clear. Check tha rooms, Ai’ll be makin’ sure we’re covered.” He declared, flashing his partner a grin. “Just don’t take to long— if this thing is goin’ haywire on their end fer a few minutes, they’ll send someone down ‘ere.’"
