Tournament of Three Bloods
Mangle seems all too eager to insure the future of the Sith Empire, and as such, has spent months in preparation for what he calls The Tournament of Three Bloods, a competition consisting of Sith Acolytes, which will test their skills and abilities throughout three dangerous trials. They will be driven to their limits, in both mind and body, with only a single victor chosen from the initial group.

I will serve as the DM for each trial, each of which will take place in a separate thread. Additionally, 'spectator threads' may be created as off-shoots by those who wish to spectate and react to the events in real time with their own characters. If you'd really like to DM a specific trial, you can message me and I'll send you my notes, and we can discuss it. However, you can only volunteer to DM if you are not roleplaying a participating Acolyte.

These trials will be dangerous, but they are not intended to kill participating Acolytes. There are safeguards in place, but it is important to note that death could be possible, should you (the roleplayer) be interested in that. Regardless, participating Acolytes may be injured, whether that be as simple as a stubbed toe, or a full on missing or mutilated limb. Therefore, Mangle recommends that only Acolytes who are already well trained participate, and that those who are young or new to training sit this one out. It is only a recommendation, though. All Acolytes are welcome to participate.

The trials themselves are meant to be a cool and pivotal part of your character's background. This is meant as a fun and engaging IC event with no risk of death if you do not want it. As such, the offered rewards are intended to deepen your connection with your character even more.

The 48 hour rule applies. Players who do not post for extended periods will be skipped over, and potentially auto-hit depending on if they were being attacked. The auto-hit rule is especially applicable in the third trial.
The Victor's Rewards
Rewards are personalized based entirely on what the roleplayer of the victor desires, but I will list the intended rewards that will be available to pick from. This competition is meant to be an engaging and fun, but important part of building your character. Therefore, the rewards will reflect this.

First and foremost, the victor could choose a promotion to Champion. If your Acolyte is already old enough and skilled enough to be an Acolyte, but you, the roleplayer, aren't entirely sure if you're interested in that, or if you're looking for a unique IC reason behind your character's promotion, this may be for you! Realistically, you could choose to promote your Acolyte to Champion at any time you wish, but winning this tournament provides a unique, IC reason behind the promotion, even if it's just the icing on the cake, if your Acolyte has already achieved promotion-worthy things.

Alternatively, a large sum of credits will be offered to the victor. Not enough to be wealthy, by any means, but it will be enough to live comfortably for a considerable amount of time. Invest it in a business, or purchase a set of personalized armor, or put in your Sithy savings account. Whatever you want your character to do!

You may also choose private lessons from Mangle himself, serving as his chosen Acolyte. Throughout four separate threads, your character will be taught four of Mangle's favored abilities, Force Speed, Force Bellow, Force Lightning, and Shroud of Darkness. Should your character already know one or more of those abilities, that thread will be replaced with something else, such as a mission or small event. Your Acolyte will also participate in an optional PVP Invasion with Mangle (which is not required to succeed). Finally, when Mangle deems them ready, your Acolyte will be guided through the process of bleeding their own red lightsaber (even if they already have one of their own). This is more-so a symbolic gesture, meant to inspire pride within an Acolyte, and potentially an IC rival for your character. They will be sent to hunt and defeat a Jedi (yes, we'll need a Jedi volunteer, and said Jedi does not have to die, we merely need their lightsaber), bleed the kyber crystal within their saber, and create a new, red lightsaber for your character to use, with a personalized hilt which will be provided by Mangle as a gift. The important thing is that this training will all take place at YOUR chosen pace, and each aspect is optional.

The fourth option is all of the above. Your character will receive an initial reward of credits, will undergo private and personalized training with Mangle, will participate in a final trial with Mangle in which you will face him in battle (you do not have to win, but bonus points if you do!), and will then apply for your character's promotion to Champion.
The Three Trials
Each trial and it's challenges have been written out in a google doc, but, while I don't want to spoil everything, you should know what you'll be getting your characters into! There will be a total of three challenges, all of which will be physically demanding and dangerous. Acolytes are free to form alliances and assist one another, but do be aware that there will only be a specific number of victors in the first trial, and only one in the third. On the same note, Acolytes are also free to sabotage one another for personal gain, but murdering your fellow Acolytes is heavily discouraged.

• The First Trial: Do you like dusty, ancient tombs, traps, and pitch darkness? What about all of that, but it's also one, giant maze? Welcome to the first trial. Acolytes will be sent into a pitch black, labyrinth-like tomb upon Korriban. The Acolytes will be expected to navigate traps, the venomous snakes that infest the claustrophobic halls, the maze itself, and, of course, the rather large and deadly creature known as a Terentatek, which will stalk the Acolytes relentlessly. The first Acolytes who reach the exit (the number of which will be decided by how many participate) will move on to the second trial. There will be medical supplies, including antivenom, available at both the exit, and the entrance, for those who have to backtrack. Retrievals will be attempted for Acolytes that fail to escape after the initial six hours.

• The Second Trial: Dathomir is known for many things, it's dark magic chief among them. This trial consists of three challenges, all of which serve as a puzzle or riddle of some kind. It is your character's cunning and wit that will insure their success through the swampy temple they will be required to navigate in order to move on to the final trial.

• The Third Trial: Perhaps the most straightforward of them all. Atop a temple on the shores of Kalee, the Acolytes will face each other in battle. There are no established teams or alliances. It's a free for all, but should you have formed bonds with your fellow Acolytes in the previous two trials, well... there are, after all, no rules. So long as participants understand that there can only be one victor. Killing one another is discouraged. Acolytes that are too weak, injured or tired to continue fighting should attempt to leave the confines of the arena, if possible.

• The Victor's Feast: Not a trial! Just an open celebration thread for all participants, and anyone else, to congratulate the Victor, chat about the event, and indulge in way too much food!
