Korriban is his teacher. Memories faded to sepia tones bring fleeting memories of that day. The smell of burning ozone as freighters, cruisers and star-ships came and went. Tears stinging his eyes as red dust wafts against his face. Dragged through the sands, parallel lines carved onto the vermilion ground, carved by his heels. A woman drags him by his wrist, away from his brothers and sisters. He remembers not wanting to go. The woman reminds him of what they are, ungifted and benign. Such an opportunity will not be wasted. Korriban teaches him. Tells him that fate can be chosen; by yourself or others.
His second lesson is learned by chance. Duelling pits. Weeding out the chaff. They throw in too few weapons for too many aspirants. Strength and speed allows him to survive. The warm sensation of ichor pouring down his arm, the smouldering embers behind the eyes of a dying being. For this, he is praised. Rewarded. Food and warmth find him and he revels in his spoils. In that blood, he found another inalienable truth; the weak perish and the strong survive.
Then comes the third. Among the venerable, eldritch tombs of the ancient Dark lords he and his fellow novices scour. A Master requires a relic and so they are dispatched. Monstrosities and horrors hunt them in the crypts. A peer happens upon the device they had been sent to retrieve. A rival. In the shadows, he plots and lures. Those beasts find his quarry and take all but his prize. He returns to the surface and learns the necessity of betrayal.
That last and final edict is the only one taught. To be Sith is to be supplanted. A Master and an Apprentice, their relationship will always end with death. Without it, their order will stagnate. Grow weak. A culmination of all he has learned throughout his life. He will end his master and in turn be ended by his apprentice. That is the way of things. The purity of the Sith and the Dark side.
And so his vow is made. Easily. As naturally as breathing the inner promise comes to him. If he will not struggle and fight against the wills of others, he will be consumed in their ploys. Without power, he is nothing; so he will amass as much of it as he can grasp and hold. His fellow sith will seek to betray him and so he must do so in kind. All of this will be done, until he sires an heir worthy of the name he will create. Or he will die, and Korriban will have his bones.

But they would be wrong.
Something subtler persists deeper within him. A knowing. A learning. Sharp, perceptive eyes consume all information they see. Probing for more, for weakness. Fel exploits, corrupts and finally destroys - as much on the battlefield as behind shadows.
Another key speciality the Acolyte employs is the use of fear itself as a tool against his enemies. Fear is the blade that grows sharper with use - a mantra that the warrior employs with startling efficiency.
As with all Sith Purebloods, Fel's connection to the Dark side of the force is potent. A fulmination of rage and lust and fear burns within him like a wildfire. But his emotions are hardly constrained and often get the better of him.
And yet, despite his brutal nature when conducting himself against his enemies, he may be surprisingly honest for a Sith. Succint to the point of sin, blunt to a fault. Irregardless of rank or influence - Fel will always give his opinions on a matter. Some view this as a flagrant disregard for authority and due respect, whilst others see his value as a naysmith.
