The tone of her voice and the gaze in her eyes lit Leon on fire. He found a grin permanently plastered across his face and he wasn’t sure when it got there. Her finger hooked the waistband of his boxer briefs and he found himself biting his lip as he was pulled in. He leaned in to kiss her, one hand wrapping around her back. His finger tips would gingerly brush her skin, while his other hand treaded water. The hand on her back would land on the clasp of her bra.
Tempting… he thought just before he let go and pulled away.
“Ya know, we probably should have just stayed on the boat,” he said with a laugh. He looked around and spotted a islet about twenty five meters away, “C’mon,” he said with a playful smirk, “I just got a great idea.”
It took everything in him to swim at a normal pace. His heart was racing. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. Then he could touch the ground. He’d reach out and pull her in. One hand would reach up and brush a few strands of hair from her face before landing on her neck and pulling her into him. He gasped as a wave suddenly crashed into them. The spray of the water and seafoam covered them, Leon laughed while toppling over. He came out of the water shaking the sea from his hair as he hit the beach.
Leon took a couple steps out of the water and laid down in the sand, propping himself up on an elbow. A twinge of pain took his attention to his stomach and then he remembered he was still healing from a stab wound. He promptly filed that right to the back of his mind.
The breeze blew in a warm wind as it whispered through the sparse grass on the islet. The moon was nearly at its zenith, its pale light washing over them. Leon’s eyes met Jayna’s and for the millionth time in ten minutes he couldn’t believe that she was his. He kept waiting for the cruel prank to be revealed but it just never came.
Oh boy, this was real.
