DESCRIPTION​

Built as a grenade option to be used when heat and shrapnel is not advised. This grenade makes a 5m wide cloud of Acid when thrown. The Acid does light damage to what ever it touches and the cloud last for 3 rounds before the Acid looses strength it fills the 5 meter space with in the round it is thrown.


Since there is no blast, heat or shrapnel the Grenade is used in clearing out ship or sensitive sights. The Acid is not strong enough to melt through heavy materials like what would be used in ships, droids or even armor. But often people will breath the acid in doing internal damage. Since Acid is able to burn through the protection used to block gases.


If inhaled the damage though still light is far more dangerous since it is internal damage to the lungs and medical help would be needed to prevent death. Since the Acid does not burn through armor it does no bleed through damage to any area protected by armor. other than through breathing it in. Droids are all so immune to acid grenades.


In short any person exposed to the acid will take light damage to the parts of there body not covered by armor but does no damage or bleed through to protected parts. If breathed in the acid is the equivalent of heavy damage. A average person can hold there breath for 1 round against the acid.

LEGALITY​

Highly restricted on most worlds and baned on many more. Punishment for unauthorized use, ownship or storage is high

INTENT​

Acid as a weapon is mentioned a few times but i have not seen any tech using it. So i would like to change that in form of a grenade. The fact that the gas grenade is only really effective vs organic beginnings opens up a number of options and uses

YES it is restricted but czerka is large company. 1 thread would get you crate of 4 grenades.

@Andrewza, could you give a better description for the damaging effects of this in pvp terms? I like the concept, it's just not very clearly how it would work, and it also doesn't have a dispersal time like the other gas and smoke based weapons do.
