  • Adsulun Vardem was born the son of an impoverished Count of Serenno, and his birth brought on more problems than it solved for his family. His mother died almost immediately after his delivery, and his father never forgave him for this unintentional "murder." As a result, Adsulun had a rather rough upbringing, filled with denouncements from his "loving" father and enemies from within his family and without. He was forced to learn how to defend himself to survive, and thus took up fencing at an early age to ward off the bullies at the Academy he was made to attend.

Sometime during his adolescence, Adsulun was found to be Force Sensitive. This was discovered after an incident where some of his childhood enemies, going too far with their torment of the young Adsulun, gave him a horrid scar in the form of a burn on the side of his face. In retaliation, Vardem used his extremely limited knowledge of his abilities to shove the boys off of the parapets they stood upon. The murders were covered up by his father, and so was his Force sensitivity.

After the Sith and their savage allies emerged from the stars once again and brought the Serennians into their iron embrace, Adsulun sought his father's consent to allow him the honor of joining their ranks. Upon arriving on Korriban, Adsulun was subjected to the same strict, violent, and mind-breaking tests that all acolytes must go through in order to come out above the rest of the pack they came in with. He gorged on the knowledge of the scholars of the past; he honed his skills with blade and blaster, showing his prowess multiple times with the former; and he whetted his desire for more and more proficiency in the Force, which he knew was his destiny to wield.

In the midst of his final trials, Adsulun received a message from his father to return home immediately. He did so, but had every intention of returning to the Order. When he returned to his family's estate, his father revealed to Adsulun the plan he and several other indigent, "necessitous" Counts had conceived: they were going to attempt to execute, once again, a coup within the Empire. He and his allies sought to wrangle control of Serenno and express their independence from the Sith. Adsulun was to act as a mole within the academy on Korriban and report on any movements within the Brotherhood.

Whether Count Vardem had absolute confidence in his authority over Adsulun or for some reason expected him to have loyalty to his family before his new Brotherhood is not known, and will most likely never be known. Adsulun struck his father down then and there, consolidated his control of the estate by slaughtering any of his father's loyal supporters, and summoned the remaining separatist Counts under the assumption that it was his father who was summoning them. Once they arrived, he proceeded to kill two of them without saying a word, and by the time he was done with the second, the others begged for mercy. He gave them what they plead for, on the one condition that they pledge to let no further dissension cross their minds. They, of course, consented. Adsulun toiled for not a second longer than he needed to, and soon returned to Korriban.

Adsulun's sudden absence was justifiably punished and questioned. Upon his revelation of the impoverished Counts' plot to wrestle for control of their planet and the way in which he displayed his loyalty to the Brotherhood, Vardem proved his time for advancement had come. He had given in to his emotions, his hate, his passions. By slaying his father not only for the safety of his Order, but for his own personal reasons as well, he had finally broken his chains, and begun his path towards power.

Only fate knows where that path will eventually lead him.
  • APPEARANCE

Adsulun looks to be a very grim, unforgiving warrior. His being resonates with the torment he has sustained throughout his life, his scorched features a reminder of the malice he has endured. His hair is long and unkempt, stringy and ugly to look upon or feel. It refuses to grow where his burn resides. His face is normally set in stone, a cold expression for a cold man. His eyes are a deep, dark amber.

His body is as much as a weapon as the lightsaber he wields. It has been toned over years through sweat, toil, punishment, and the mental fortitude to continue on. At full extension, Adsulun is around 6'5" in height. His physique coupled with his chilling outward illustration makes him cut an imposing figure to both allies and enemies alike. Adsulun also sports a number of runic-style tattoos, the most prominent one being in the center of his back, which translates into the Sith Code upon further examination.

    GEAR/APPAREL

His apparel is simple enough when he's off of the battlefield: he frequently wears pitch black robes, black leather boots, black woolen pants, and a black satin doublet; even more indicators of his relative mood and personality.

Adsulun's lightsaber is often regarded as somewhat of an oddity among his peers, not for its design but merely for the fact that it doesn't necessarily match the brute that wields it. A curved, pure black hilt with delicately etched silver inlay, it emits a crimson red blade, a steeple of the Order to which he has pledged his life to.

The warrior has a well-maintained Aggressor-class attack ship, which he has dubbed as the Grim Harvest, as his personal vessel. Though its systems and schematics are all kept in working order, its crimson and black paint is chipped, worn from the use it has seen in his possession. As of yet, no modifications have been implemented on it.

    SKILLS

Swordsmanship: Even without a lightsaber in hand or his training in Makashi, Adsulun would still be considered an incredibly experienced and elegant swordsman. If he ever finds himself in a situation where he must use a physical blade in a fight, he will do so with confidence and precision.

Piloting: Though this is not his area of expertise, Adsulun is a decent enough pilot. He definitely prefers to face his enemies personally rather than through the cockpit of a ship.

Marksmanship: Adsulun is certainly no weapon savant, and it shows when he's shooting any sort of firearm. His aim could use some work, and again, he'd rather face his opponent man to man, blade to blade, than from afar.

Osmosis: Despite a problem with applying forced wisdom in his life, Adsulun does exceedingly well at absorbing information that he is genuinely interested in. If he applies himself, he can swiftly become thorough in a given field. His stubborn personality and refusal to learn contemporary ideas, skills, and trades draws him back from his full potential in a number of different areas.
  • On the exterior, Adsulun presents himself as a calculating and vicious dark side zealot, a man of few words but a tendency to take action, ready to serve the Dark Lord and his Emperor with unbending and ceaseless loyalty. However, deep within his soul, he is a man who is haunted and agonized by his past. He tells himself that his chains have been broken, that he is uninhibited in what he does, that he is a true Sith. As with all sentient creatures, no matter their discipline, no matter their conviction, he struggles with himself far more than he realizes.

Often, he finds himself reliving his past experiences, especially the fateful day in which he discovered his affinity with the Force and the murder of his father. He tries to believe these were the right decisions, as in the end they furthered his advance toward power and the breaking of his chains. Nevertheless, he has his doubts at times.

Regardless of his uncertainty of the righteousness of his actions, there is one thing that Adsulun Vardem craves more than anything in the galaxy: power. The right to call himself his own master, the desire to further expand his influence over others, to establish his authority and domination over inferior beings: these are all things that drive Adsulun to further himself and his abilities. The ways and philosophy of the Sith, thus, make more sense for him and, in the long run, are far more beneficial to him than other views of the Force.

  • THE FIVE YEARS

Throughout the period of expansion for the Sith and the birth of their Empire, Adsulun worked to prove time and time again his loyalty and dedication to his Order. Day and night he attempted to perfect his proficiency in the martial and scholarly fields, and has greatly improved his skill in the arts of lightsaber combat and the Force. However, not all was flowers and rainbows(in fact, none of it was) within the golden age of Sith dominion. After the reconquest of Serenno, Adsulun decided to return to his homeworld as an enforcer for the dark empire, ready to show his newfound powers and abilities to the masses of nobles and commoners alike.

During his time on Serenno, Adsulun ran into some old friends: the dissenting counts that he had so mercifully allowed to live. They had returned to the dirt since their exposure as traitors; apparently the Republic did little good for them upon the planets liberation, and they had turned to crime and manipulation of the common-folk in order to get by. They and their followers called themselves the Axis of Liberation.

This newly formed group of resistance fighters infuriated Adsulun. It was not long until he gathered a small group of Sith to exterminate this "plague on Serennian and Imperial society." Through tact and a purely systematic approach, they went door to door within every major city on the planet and hunted down the counts' forces, and soon Adsulun finally found the counts themselves after luring them into a trap. The Sith executed them without any ounce of the mercy that Vardem had shown them before, and with their deaths, the Axis of Liberation went with them into the afterlife.

This act of both vengeance and justice further sent Adsulun down an ever accelerating path of darkness, and drowning in the twilight were all of his doubts, all of his fears. He no longer cared for the morality of his actions; the ends justified the means as far as he was now concerned. Such was the way of the Sith; such was the way of the dark side; and, he now realized, such was the way of the Force itself.

The newly-awakened Adsulun Vardem joined his fellow Sith and their legions on their crusade of unstoppable expansion across the galaxy, participating in many campaigns in which he further proved his worth, swiftly going past the point of no return on the spectrum of cruelty and malice. He considered himself, as many Sith now do, a vessel of the dark side and the Dark Lord's will, an extension of the Emperor himself. Though this loyalty to his superiors filled him, so did an ever-increasing pride, a desire to rise above the ranks of his constituents. He wanted more.

The subjugation of Alderaan was the place where he thought his desires would come to fruition, to no avail. He slaughtered soldiers and Jedi and innocents alike in the planets baptism of fire, hoping to show Emperor Malon, who was himself present during the fighting, his worthiness. Despite all his efforts, despite the near-hundreds of lives he had personally taken in the name of the Sith, his time, it seemed, had not yet come. Anger and rage filled Vardem that day, and soon he returned to Serenno with the intent of emptying himself of his malign wrath.

He massacred all those that had remained within his family's estate, even his own kin, in a fit of pure, unadulterated fury that spread fear among the inhabitants of every village within a few kilometers. After his tantrum, the young Sith wandered the halls of Vardem Estate, questioning his every action once again, his fears and concerns laid bare. These feelings did not last long; it was far too late for him to redeem himself, and he knew this. Every life that he took would further move him deeper and deeper into the hole that was the dark side. It was only a matter of deciding whether to wallow in that hole, or embrace the powers which it bestowed upon him...

Okay, before I accept him into the Sith, you're going to have to tone down his abilities significantly. Even at varying levels, few (only the Battlemasters, as far as I'm aware) of any Force order know all of the major Lightsaber forms. Generally, starting characters are only allowed to know two: one that they specialize in and one that they're working on. Then, over the course of the RP, said character can gain more. Furthermore, if your character is an expert swordsman, then his Force-skills will suffer a bit. They too can be built up over time, but they cannot both start out powerful. The Bio and Personality look fine at a glance, but you should rethink his abilities a bit.

Tone these things down a little, then let me know and I'll get you into the Sith.

My mistake and apologies, I did go a little overboard. d:

I removed the excess Lightsaber Forms and fixed his proficiency in the Force. Let me know if he needs further nerfing!
