Name: Adumar

Coordinates: J-6

Hyperlane: N/A

Climate: Temperate; the climate seems to be consistently mild.

Terrain: Adumar has many hills, plains, rivers, and forests, separated into several continents by oceans. There are a number of highly-populated cities, and an extensive network of underground tunnels under them. These tunnels are used by the Adumari worker class.

Rotation: Adumar's rotational period is 23.9 standard hours, with an orbital period of 350 local days.

Inhabitants: Adumar has a population of around 1.5 billion people. The overwhelming majority of inhabitants on the planet are humans whom call themselves Adumari. There are very few non-Adumari on the planet due to it being in Wild Space and relatively cut off from Galactic politics.

Resources: Adumar has abundant natural resources for the purposes of its people, and possesses at least one manufacturing corporation dedicated to starships-- most specifically starfighters. These ships and munitions to go with them form a major part of Adumar's economy.

Government: Adumar traditionally did not have a fully unified system of government, instead having a monarchal system with loosely-affiliated nation-states, with smaller ones often being vassals and tributaries to larger ones. The head of each state is called a perator, and the position is a hereditary one. However, decisions that could affect the entire planet, such as unifying the government, would need a consensus among the other perators.

In the aftermath of the Adumari Civil War, the planet has come under the control of Helin Tyris, the Grand Master of the Paladins of Mortis, as she was unanimously voted into her position by the victorious perators of the Adumari Alliance after defeating the nation-state of Cartann.

Culture: The nobility of Adumar have long been obsessed with two things: Dueling, and starfighter combat. The Adumari revere accomplished duelists and pilots, and duels are used as both a way to solve disputes and to simply have fun. Societal advancement in their rather stratified system is usually tied to how good a duelist or pilot one is. Unfortunately, this means the Adumari nobility is so obsessed with these two facets of their society that they often ignore the lowborn, working class individuals that live under them who do not excel at either, but will pay attention to skilled swordsmen and pilots who come from offworld; in particular, they have tremendous respect for military heroes.

Technology: Adumar is more-or-less on-par with the rest of the Galaxy, though they have had little in the way of interaction over the millennia and are self-sufficient. They are particularly fond of weapons and starfighter technology and have multiple corporations who make munitions, fighters, bombers, and smaller starships, and they have a distinct, though somewhat odd cultural symbol: the blastsword, a melee weapon with a blaster attached which is, these days, mostly used to stun duelists instead of shoot them through.

Satellites: Adumar has two moons: Adayle and Wascot, and Adumar itself orbits the star known as Katorrs, being the second planet in its system.

History: Adumar was settled thousands of years in the past, by exiles from the early Republic whom had attempted to separate themselves from the galactic government and were swiftly defeated in battle. This defeat may have been a major factor in the reverence for martial prowess that later became a hallmark of Adumari society, and through this reverence for martial prowess came the hierachal, aristocratic structure they have now.

Adumar does not interact very much with the wider Galactic community, at most operating with those inhabited systems and sectors closest to it, and its inhabitants have a culturally-ingrained dislike of the Republic. Recently, the Church of Mortis arrived on the planet and proceeded to help unify the planet's nations into a single empire under the leadership of Grand Master Helin Tyris, leader of the Holy Order of the Paladins of Mortis, with her being declared the first empress of the Adumari people.

Intent: After seeing the Legends info on this now-canon-but-woefully-undetailed planet, most of which I used for this write-up, I feel Adumar seems like a good planet for the Paladins to make a base on and eventually take over, due to the similarities between its culture and that of the Mortisites allowing for a (probably) smooth transition of power once things head that way; unlike actual knightly orders of our world, the Paladins do not have to forswear titles and land upon being inducted into the Order. After that, if the faction expands further, Adumar will most likely remain their capital from which they'll attempt to project their influence on non-affiliated worlds.

Looks like a good write-up. :)

Is there anything preventing it from getting approved, or is it just a matter of time?

Your patience has been rewarded. I don't see any huge issues with the profile, and overall think it is a nice fit into our present timeline. Since you plan to use it as a sort of base of operations for your Indie Faction, though, I'd make sure you check your plans out with @Dmitri before doing anything overly ambitious. But, I've said enough.

Approved.
